In the Past 3yrs, i have not missed a single video of yours but undoubtedly this should be one of the top 3 of your videos. Woooooow first time i felt someone on your channel made you sit awestruck, we could see that from your reactions. PR Sreejesh is a legend, but thanks to this video, we know what sort of a human he is. his openness is at vera level, he took us through all the emotions when he spoke about the reason why he took goalkeeping, his size, his difficulties in language at camps, his meeting Dilip and seniors, the Olympic village, or about the movies. simply wow, honestly i did not know if anybody at that level could be so honest and true, he did not even have second thoughts about, how people could take words out of proportion.
Am here in Uk and watching this at 7am in the morning, first thing after waking up. Definitely one of the best decisions I made. keep going Ash bro, and thanks once again for bringing out such personalities through your channel and highlighting them too. Hats off.

"Great Wall of Indian Hockey" - legend Sreejesh! Never ever expected a hockey player in DRS with Ash! A timely positive interview inviting right guest after a highly disappointing olympic outing ever for India, given the preparation of the players and improved facilties and infrastructure. A much needed positive interview, when more Indians have good reason to play down any non cricketing sport due to olympic performance in general.
Never knew Sreejesh was so humble though i have been following very closely since 2016 when Indian hockey started taking baby steps in the revival path. Have heard his hindi interviews, but his Hindi is bit rough, so when he speaks, the humbleness in him never came out.
What a story teller Sreejesh is, like Ash! He just brought the olympic village, right in front of our eyes! Good on Sreejesh to open up on motivation for 60 extra marks that made him a legend in International hockey, his struggles, his vision for juniors, coaches, Astro turf, international coaches, high level techniques to adapt to Astro turf.
Honestly speaking there should have been 2 episodes with Sreejesh! Ash should have covered Tokyo bronze, Paris games experience and bronze, about PC and what India is doing to bring a PC specialist after Harmanpreet, about state of Hockey in South India as there no one apart from South representing India other than Sreejesh!
I hope and pray India changes the color of the medal in LA! Those who don't follow hockey, please start watching India matches, our team is one of the best in the world. You would start loving the sport watching India play. I also wish Karthi Selvam gets back to Indian team and performs well.

Great career and congratulations PR Sreejesh. Salute. My father, in a coaching camp, trained under Major Dyanchand ( after his retirement ) and was a goalie for a match under Major's coaching. Hockey is very special and still have my dad's certificate with his coach's sign :)

Kudos to Ashwin for bringing "The Wall" from another brother game-Olympian Sreejesh! The way you conveyed the message to India to develop the game is commendable. I hope other states will implement the same grace marks in the education system (I’m not sure how many states have done this so far) as well as provide turfs. With just a piece of wood and a wall, we can play cricket, but hockey requires at least five players, as Sreejesh mentioned. I hope more hockey players emerge from India and bring glory to the nation.

One of the best interviews hosted. The clarity with which sreejesh explains makes it so special that even a layman who doesn’t have any idea about the sport hockey is able to understand. Especially the final segment where he was explaining the aura present in an Olympic village, how he personifies it as the place where no differences are there and its equal for all. Literally goosebumps.

Amazing interview - as Ashwin mentioned, truly inspiring . First of all congrats on winning the medal in Olympics. So glad to see Sreejesh still grounded, remembers where he started, and as a result very relatable to anybody. In some ways we all go through the same journey in our non-sporting careers! Wishing the best. I wish Ashwin talked him about making Hockey mainstream like IPL - paving the way for many youngsters.

Very interesting and informative talk show. During 1970s myself and my friends use to play hockey with tree sticks if lucky with the cricket stumps and there was lots of space play. The Hockey fever was much high during the World Cup and the Olympic as there was no Cricket World Cup in thise times. Now scarcely see boys play Hockey, in fact Astro turf is the reason for the sports not becoming popular. Sreejesh will always be in my heart like my boyhood Star goalkeeper Charles Ji. Tears roll down my cheeks to think of the great yester players of our country. I used to watch Sreejeth practice at Pachaiappas college grounds when he was playing for the IOB team. Thank you so much Ashwin, I enjoyed as much as you enjoyed your talk show.👍🙏

Ashwin is one of the most secure sportsman I have seen. He not only talks about and appreciates people from the field of cricket (both Men & Women) but from other sports. No jealousy or insecurity, acts like a Fanboy despite himself being such an accomplished cricketer.
My respect for Ashwin has increased manifold after seeing this interview with PR Sreejesh because he has given space to an iconic player and has also helped his followers understand and follow something beyond cricket, i.e. Hockey. We need to watch and follow Hockey just like cricket so that its players gets the same budgets and the facilities that cricketers currently enjoy.

The Olympic village story was great. The most inspiring moment for me was when I heard about 60 marks being awarded to kids who take up sports. Hope that trend is copied by schools in India. Thanks again for the inspiring interview. Episode 2 please…
