Love your videos. They make me want to get away in my Peugeot partner. I have a boot jump and tent box on the roof. I’m on my own now after losing hubby and got the partner to travel around with my two dogs. All I need is a little courage but your videos help. Xx
Awh bless you Diane and thanks for watching. It must be very hard. There's a lady on here called Sue who also lost her husband Bri and she has a channel. Give her a look. She has slowly been coming to terms with her grief and how to tour around on her own, I'm sure her vlogs will help. th-cam.com/users/CamperVanyaSoloVanLife Hope you'll find it of some comfort and inspiration. Take care. 🙂🚙🐕
Hi. Have to be honest. We're not into checking Mpg stats when we're out on our trips. Whatever the cost of fuel, its a must buy purchase. We can't say we noticed much difference with the box on. Sorry, that's no help at all. 😒🐕🚙
Hi. Thanks so much. We're pleased you enjoyed it. Shame the end wasn't as relaxing 😤 being chased off in our PJ'S. We love our Ridgemonkey. Our favourite pie is made with puff pastry and tinned Stag Chilli. Lovely hot and cold.🙂🐕🚙
Love those bridges. Walked over the Forth ( road) bridge many years ago. Also been over on the train bridge. Lovely part of the world. Blue looked very cosy. Nice Parkup. Great beach for Blue to run around on. Harbour Parkup was nice. Blue’s eyeing up the corned beef🤣 That’s definitely a new game you’ve invented. Ambitious pie. Looked good. Bet that was scary with the van. Wise to move though. 😊🧙♂️
Hi guys, thanks for watching. Gosh it was windy up on that bridge. Nearly collided with a cyclist, cause it was so high, I couldn't walk near the edge! Shame we had to leave that parkup, it was lively and the locals were so friendly too 🙂🐕🚙
I'm always doing that with my ridge monkey so your not alone, also if you take off the paper on your corned beef it makes it do much easier to open. Enjoy.
Blue was loving that run on the beach! Hopefully he had a piece of corn beef for a treat. .... Shame about the white van and the park up but you we would have moved on and tried for a good nights sleep elsewhere- better safe than sorry. As ever.....TFS and the background music a delight
HI Dawn. Thanks for watching. Blue loves a beach, shame we didn't take a ball. Unfortunately, Blue is super Allergic and can't eat beef, bless him. It was a very stressful move. I was already in my PJ's and both beds were set up. So Bernie just took his board back up, raised the driver's seat and passed everything to me in the back with Blue. Wouldn't have slept even if we'd found another space slightly further away from her. Still all's well that ends well and we did eventually get a good night's sleep. 😴🐕🚙
Thanks again for watching. It certainly was an experience and lesson learned. Like the old saying goes... Never judge a book by its cover. Although in this case.. The language was a s dirty as the van! 😳🐕🚙
Oh my goodness. That's terrible. We spoke to a local and he said he didn't know there was anyone in there. She obviously had very serious issues and it's horrible to think she died alone in that van.
Lovely video Tina, its a shame about the park up but as you know in this day and age you are always susceptible to all kinds of goings on when you attempt to stay in quiet places, before anybody shouts, I know most of the time things go according to plan, but on the little red camper channel they seem to be plagued at times with unsociable behaviour I know its nice to be on your own and enjoy a quiet place but i still would prefer to stay on site somewhere if possible, you are both senior citizens like me and your safety is paramount. take care look forward to the next one, Colin.
Thanks Colin. We do prefer to be in a quiet place rather than a site, but if there are 1 or 2 other vans scattered around, then we don't mind that either. We do tend to weigh things up before we stay and check previous reviews when using park4night spots. Not sure we'd do it in a built up area, although Skipton car park worked out fine. Know what you mean, you must always put your safety above staying in a place with a nice view.
Hi. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment too, it's much appreciated. The pan is called a RidgeMonkey and you can buy them from lots of places online as well as amazon. Just make sure if you do buy one to ensure its the extra Large one. It may not look that big, but the standard one is tiny. 😊🐕🚙
Thank you very much for your reply I will have a look about for it. If you can get up to and around fort William via glen Coe you will absolutely love it and maybe isle of Skye is stunning as are the beaches around mallaig are beautiful. Happy camping
@@lambrettadave7 no worries and yes, you're right. We've been up north many times and it never disappoints does i? It's just we didn't have a channel back then. A real shame, cause Orkney and the flow country way up top were truly amazing 👏 🐕🚙
Hi Gill, nice to hear from you and thank you for commenting. We have body washes with baby wipes, then every few days book into a small certified site to have a shower. No one has ever died to our knowledge from not having a shower every day and water is a very precious commodity when your touring. 🙂🐕🚙
What a terrible experience, I think you made the right decision to move on. I thought that I was the only person to have a Silly Sally Satnav. Take care Gill
It certainly was. Never heard language like it, especially from a woman. If we'd known there was someone in the van, we would not have parked there in the first place. It was super windy and thought it would give us some shelter. We certainly got more than we bargained for. As for Sally... Well don't get us started lol😬🐕🚙
Hi thanks for watching. We actually use a small portable compressor fridge we bought from Amazon back in 2020. Running off either our 12v leisure battery or 240v mains when on Hookup. ICE CUBE 20 Liter Portable Compressor Refrigerator Freezer Cooler DC 12V 24V AC 230V amzn.eu/d/5Syv8l0 Although this particular brand is not currently available, there's lots more sold under different brand names. 😊🐕🚙
Hi again. No worries. If you check out this video in the link below, it shows a wee change we've made to make the fridge situation work better for us. It's tweak 3. Hope it helps explain. 😊🐕🚙 th-cam.com/video/yWVr6QbjaqI/w-d-xo.html
Hi Tina, where did you buy your Ridge monkey? I've just bought one from Amazon and it is much smaller than yours and you can't separate the top & bottom. If it's not too much trouble, would you know the dimensions of yours? Hope to see you out and about soon. Elaine x
Hi Elaine. No, we don't mind at all. This is the one we purchased. Hope that helps. Its called the compact XL Ridgemonkey Connect Compact Sandwich Toaster (Compact XL) amzn.eu/d/3fWjNAL 😊🐕🚙
Thanks for that Elizabeth. It's so hard to get pronunciation right and say it as it's written. Honestly, that woman was possessed! We'd have to agree, that Fife is indeed a lovely area and all too often bypassed in favour of the NW Highlands ☺️🐕🚙
Blue enjoys the beach and freedom runs so sweet
There's nothing he likes better. Maybe a good woodland 🤔🐕🚙
Love your videos, you are both an inspiration, thank you ❤❤
Thank you. That's very kind of you 🙂🐕🚙
That was a good watch tho I felt for you over the nasty behaviour of the banshee. And in that rain as well. Thanks a lot for your hard work. 🤗
Thanks. Finding another parkup in the dark and driving rain and at bedtime. No easy feat. Honestly, we couldn't have slept anywhere near her! 😒🐕🚙
Really interesting content and narration.Just what I would come across. Like the ridge monkey pie❤
Glad you enjoyed my home Scotland 💖
Always. We'll be back 🙂🐕🚙
Just bought partner with bootbox, yay bit scary they are so small .love your videos🥰
Thank you and you'll soon adjust to the space. Happy wandering 🙂🐕🚙
