“耶路撒冷阿、我在你城上設立守望的．他們晝夜必不靜默．呼籲耶和華的、你們不要歇息、
也不要使他歇息、直等他建立耶路撒冷、使耶路撒冷在地上成為可讚美的。”

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes, And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”

(一) 撒母耳事奉最可貴之處：神的肯定與祝福
I. The most valuable part of Samuel’s ministry: God’s approval and blessing
─ “耶和華與他同在，使他所說的話一句都不落空”(3:19)
─ “So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.”(3:19)
─ 神總是透過撒母耳來說話、行事-全書充滿了 對神撒母耳說話的記載：
─ God spoke and worked through Samuel- the whole book is filled with narrations of God speaking to Samuel:
“耶和華呼喚撒母耳…耶和華又呼喚撒母耳“ (3:4, 6),
“… the LORD called Samuel. … Then the LORD called yet again, “Samuel!” (3:4, 6)
“耶和華對撒母耳說…”(3:11, 8:7, 22, 16:1, 7), “耶和華的話臨到撒母耳說…” (15:10)
“… the LORD said to Samuel…”(3:11, 8:7, 22, 16:1, 7), “Now the word of the LORD came to Samuel, saying…” (15:10),
“掃羅未到的前一日、耶和華已經指示撒母耳說…“ (9:15)“
“Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear the day before Saul came, saying…“ (9:15)
“耶和華又在示羅顯現、因為耶和華將自己的話默示撒母耳、撒母耳就把這話傳遍以色列地” (3:21)
“Then the LORD appeared again in Shiloh. For the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.” (3:21)
(二) 撒母耳事奉最重要的使命：帶領百姓專心歸向 神，單單事奉 衪
(7:3-4, 12:14-15, 20-25, 15:22-23)
II. The most important mission of Samuel’s ministry: leading the people to turn back to God wholeheartedly, and serve Him only
─ “至於我，斷不停止為你們禱告，以致得罪耶和華。我必以善道正路指教你們。”(12:23)
─ “ Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. ”(12:23)
v 撒母耳是聖經中最好的禱告榜樣之一
v Samuel is one of the best biblical examples on praying
“在他的祭司中有摩西和亞倫、在求告他名的人中有撒母耳、他們求告耶和華、他就應允他們“ (詩99:6)
“ Moses and Aaron were among His priests, And Samuel was among those who called upon His name; They called upon the LORD, and He answered them.” (Psalms 99:6)
“耶和華對我說、雖有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前代求、我的心也不顧惜這百姓…“ (耶 15:1)
“ Then the LORD said to me, “Even if Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My mind would not be favorable toward this people. Cast them out of My sight, and let them go forth.” (Jeremiah 15:1)
(三) 撒母耳事奉最美好的果效
III. The most wonderful impact of Samuel’s ministry
─ “過了20年，以色列全家都傾向耶和華” (7:2-4, 12-14)
─ “It was a long time, twenty years in all … and all the people of Israel mourned and sought after the LORD. ” (7:2-4, 12-14)
