Very cool. Looks like you achieved a good amount of stiffness. Did you by any chance add (or plan to add) any reinforcement to the headstock area? Cheers!
Very interesting. Why did you go with CA glue rather than epoxy to attach the fretboard? I figured CA glue would be too brittle and would eventually fail with neck adjustments over the years.
I have an RC airplane that was assembled entirely with CA glue. This plane has been subjected to extreme vibrations, intense g-forces and fuel spray. It is 30 years old and still as good as the day I finished it. I also have an acoustic guitar that was glued together with CA glue and is over 20 years old and still going strong.
Carbon fiber filament is nothing like carbon fiber rods in terms of strength. While the filament contains carbon fibers, it lacks the epoxy that gives it strength and stiffness.
Congratulations on 100k subscribers. Each one well and truly earned!
Congrats on 100k Chris! - Chris from Australia
I love this project!
I guess the fretboard is the only wood part in this build, am i right?
It's coming along really well

No.

You can never be too rich or have too many clamps, lol
Or be too good looking!
So what is the material of the body and neck? Plastic?
Polylactic acid, also known as PLA, is a thermoplastic monomer derived from renewable, organic sources such as corn starch or sugar cane
Could you print the guitar neck in a Carbon fiber filament like BambuLabs sells, instead of having to use the rods?
