    You take a look and decide for yourself.

    Personally after having many diff lights I find I stick to on and off with timers, all the color features are fun to play with but ultimately I keep it natural for the fish as possible , so far I find my favorite to be fluval aqua sky, love all the lighting u can adjust and intensity and all from one app, prob gonna go all aqua sky eventually

      I'm using mine in a custom setting mode that ramps up and down a couple times a day. Very cool and at a very affordable price.

    For anyone buying these lights, specifically the 3ft 50w model there's a faulty batch. To discern if you have one of these lights, using the manual controls set the light to sunlight mode then using the up and down arrows reduce the brightness to the lowest setting then start increasing it. If the light turns a pinkish colour on the way back up at any stage you have a faulty LED driver on the green channel. I bought 4 of these and 2 were faulty. Run the test a couple of times to be sure.

    What a great review and the tank is awesome ,here in the uk its not available yet ,i 've got the fluval aquasky 2.0 and i hate it ,coming from a cheaper Beamswork which i thought was awesome ,it does look like the Hygger HG-028 which i'm looking at the moment, do you think this "ABESTFISH" is brighter or equally as good in features ,thanks for the review 😊

    The frosted panel is to help diffuse the light better...this really helps when your doing a sunrise/senset type of setup. This looks like a great light. It would be nice if they had a 72 inch light.

    • @BenOchart
      @BenOchart  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d love a 72 or 84” light.

    • @GSP-76
      @GSP-76 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BenOchart From what I've heard from manufacturers, 84 inch led lights have high failure rates...72 inches is generally the biggest they go...you would be best off using two 40 inch lights for 84 inch tank...Ben does this light do transitions from sunrise to sunset? Letting you tweak colors for the hour of the day?

    I wonder how his compares to the aquasky or even the fluval planted 3.0 I got my aquasky lights on sale for Black Friday and they’re awesome for RBG.

      I did a comparison of a 36" fluval 3.0 and the hygger bluetooth, same oem light and they are very close to each other with the RGB light looking a lot better.

    Can you control the light using the app while you are not at home ?
    And does the app has a timer setup for the light ? Where it turns on by itself daylight and off night ?

    • @wabalaka1565
      @wabalaka1565 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The app actually uses Bluetooth so yeah you can control it if you ain't in front of the tank. The timer is 24hr cycle you only need to set it one

    I guess the real test is what happens when you drop it into the tank, let it sit for three seconds, and then pull it out. Accidents happen and a light being waterproof is probably the most important feature.

    • @BenOchart
      @BenOchart  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Light is 45”+ across. Tank has three glass lid openings that are each 12-14” wide. One would have to work real hard and be quite creative to get that light fixture into the tank🤣

    I got 2 36" lights for my 6 ft tank, they cant be group controlled which is a pain but after a week one of them keeps going pink 🤦‍♂️ if i adjust the brightness up and down it comes good but every morning when it turns on it's pink again, something must be wrong with the LED driver when it gets below a certain current draw the green channel drops out.

  • @TheObserver567
    @TheObserver567 ปีที่แล้ว

    Something like that light will look better if it was a little higher up. It will spread the light much better on the tank.

    Hay Ben hope all is well.. this light gets bad reviews as far as the app goes. Are you still using it or do you recommend another? I DO PUT ALOT OF TRUST IN YOUR WORD.. THANKS BROTHER

    • @BenOchart
      @BenOchart  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Richard, I love the light but sometimes the app needs to be rebooted and that's a pain in the rear. The good news is that the light does retain the programming even with the app needs to be reconnected. Based on the features, I still think it's a good deal but I wouldn't put it miles above lights from Hygger, JC&P and Beamswork.

    • @BassManStrikes
      @BassManStrikes 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's because people don't update the firmware before using the app fully, same comments on the Hygger bluetooth light.
      Keep in mind even the Fluval 3.0 sometimes doesn't connect even when you are right next to it.

  • @CascadianExotics

    This is basically a cheaper clone/rebrand of the Hygger smart light that's trying to replicate a cheaper version of the Fluval Plant 3.0. The light even uses the same app as the Hygger one too. Seems like damn near everything coming from China these days is a knockoff of a knockoff that was knocked off by the knockoff. 😂

    • @BenOchart
      @BenOchart  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very different build and look from Hygger lights I own 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @billbullock4534
      @billbullock4534 ปีที่แล้ว

      After spending 2.5 years in Korea for the Army, I can tell you the electronic markets there are some of the best knockoffs I have seen. I just don't get hung up on the ripoff stuff because, ultimately, someone plagiarized someone else for any current version, whether it be from Fluval.

    • @BassManStrikes
      @BassManStrikes 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well to be fair the app is a generic automation app that can controll all kinds of devices. Seems like smart move to use it.
      The Hygger has its buetooth built into the light chassis and the one Ben showed has it inline in the cord which is probably a better design.
