Man, I love that you're doing great songs that are not covered yet (that good) on youtube by other teachers. Looking forward to more Pixies/Smiths/Stone Roses
Wow, this was so much simpler than I thought it would be Amazing video, all of your vids are so good at teaching and you're great at breaking it down, much respect!
Great, as always. One small request/comment, I find it really helpful when you give the notes their name, not just the fret position. But I realise that would make the whole lesson take longer, it's just really helpful when you are trying to master the fretboard!
So glad to see you finally do some Pixies! Great job as always.. you’re my favorite internet guitar teacher, Adrian. Your Les Paul riff series is getting me to pull my own out of the case again after a long stint wielding a Stratocaster. Some Second Coming era Stone Roses would be pretty neat to learn.
Brilliant lesson china! What a band eh! You have done it justice. I think i can hear those fingers picking and what they have to say ! Let there be ROCK! Love your work. Love your taste in music too. Onya mate
This is fantastic! Pixies are one of my all time favourite bands. Thanks for sharing Adrian, I have only recently found you on here but I'm already learning a lot from you.
On an unrelated note, Adrian, I've been listening to an audiobook of "Play It Loud" by Tolinski & di Perna, an enjoyable history of the electric guitar. They happened to mention the extraordinary length of Hendrix's fingers, which I somehow hadn't been aware of. The finger length comments sure made me think of you. I remember one of your basic blues lessons where your fretting pinky finger kind of freaked me out......I know long fingers are not a requirement but they must be handy!
Slightly disappointed you didn’t have a go at shouting the lyrics, Adrian! 😀 great rendition though and thank you for keeping the channel going. For lazy ‘have a go’ guitarists like me your lessons are invaluable. Cheers!
Great lesson as ever. Would love to see something by the pop group, or maybe some more PiL? I've been trying to suss out low life for a while but have gotten nowhere with it. Cheers!
Brilliant choice Adrian, my personal favourite, most would have chose here comes you man, but you're not most, thank f..k for that. Comprehensively done as always, lovely use of the split screen. Keep them coming
excellent!! marvelous lesson. THat would have been 1990 at Reading, oh yes, was there too... wedding present/ride/buzzcocks/ mudhoney?? always great lessons Adrian, well done
You can't go wrong with The Pixies :) EDIT: Two guitars in a band. Back in the early 90's I had a Tele and the singer had a Rickenbacker. Similar range in the spectrum but I was much fucking louder ;)
One of my favourite songs of all time! Thanks so much for making this video and for breaking it down so well.
you're the coolest teacher on youtube tbh
even when you play by yourself and it's not actually the PIxies, these sounds make me feel so good, it's amazing
God, I love your channel. Maybe do some more Smiths or some Stone Roses?
more Smiths!
That bit you did at the end made the song Soo much better
How about doing I Wanna Be Adored by The Stone Roses?
Man, I love that you're doing great songs that are not covered yet (that good) on youtube by other teachers. Looking forward to more Pixies/Smiths/Stone Roses
The BEST guitar lesson & cover of this song that I've seen on here. Keep up the great work! 🤘🎸
I love this song, I have it in my playlist and always listen to it. Perfect explanation as usual. Thank you so much.
Too me back to 1989!!! Stunning. many thanks
Wow, this was so much simpler than I thought it would be
Amazing video, all of your vids are so good at teaching and you're great at breaking it down, much respect!
Ah ho ho ho, don't know about you, but I am goin'!
Got to love those Black Francis chord progressions.
Yes! You did it Adrian! Thank you very much.
Oh yes another superb choice. Very well done.
This is fantastic. Really helped me to 'get' the various parts. Now trying to string this together as a solo guitar piece mixing both parts. Thank you
Yes!!!! Was wondering when Pixies would get a look-in. Thanks Adrian once again
Great, as always. One small request/comment, I find it really helpful when you give the notes their name, not just the fret position. But I realise that would make the whole lesson take longer, it's just really helpful when you are trying to master the fretboard!
Excellent choice, Adrian! Can’t wait to try that out.
Another top choice and guide. Keep it up.

Love that Les Paul reissue. Sounds awesome thru the Vox. I always enjoy your lessons. Great song selections. 👍
Nailing Debaser is a certainty to push you over 100k subs. Lord knows you deserve it. Keep killing it Adrian. We all thank you
This was great, thanks a lot!
Brilliant lesson china! What a band eh! You have done it justice. I think i can hear those fingers picking and what they have to say ! Let there be ROCK! Love your work. Love your taste in music too. Onya mate
Great lesson - thanks. Dig for Fire would be a great song to have a lesson for.
This is fantastic! Pixies are one of my all time favourite bands. Thanks for sharing Adrian, I have only recently found you on here but I'm already learning a lot from you.
Sounds fantastic!
Amazing choice of song, as always
That Les Paul is STUNNING!!
Also I LOVE Pixies.
OMG! Nearly 100K 👏🏻👏🏻
The guitar tone is better than on the original recording!!
Top work as always Adrian,
What about Dig for Fire or Bird dream
:D totally cool intro demo, just made a big smile on my face. thumbs up!!
WOW!! AMAZING!!
Perfect!
Great song choice! If you ever do another Pixies song, Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf) would be interesting.
It’s pretty easy, and I think you could probably work it out by yourself. Getting the right vibe with the reverb and tremolo is the hardest part.
UK surf version is gross
@@Camothor10 I mean the album version is superior, but UK Surf is pretty fun too
Omg. That was amazing. Thank you!!!!
I'd love to see a video of how you get your tones
Thanks for the lesson!
dude you are awesome!
Can you do "jumping someone else's train" by the cure please?
Excellent lesson!
Thanks for the lesson man.
There’s something spooky goin’ on, just started listening to this song a few days ago and couldn’t find a worthwhile lesson and sure enough
This is perfect. Thank you!
From despair to where by the Manics. It has a really cool riff in the chorus! and it's a Les Paul
I heard this song at a taco stand yesterday -- it's a great song, and you do a great job with it!
How was your taco?
@@greg0uk I apologize for not replying sooner. The taco was good, but unfortunately the restaurant did not survive COVID.
@@danieli.9252 no need to apologise mate. Glad you enjoyed your taco. Sad to hear about the taco stand though ☹️
Spot on mate
Awesome video! Very helpful thanks so much :)

@@AnimationByDylan Ah, I didn't even get that.
Slightly disappointed you didn’t have a go at shouting the lyrics, Adrian! 😀 great rendition though and thank you for keeping the channel going. For lazy ‘have a go’ guitarists like me your lessons are invaluable. Cheers!
Perfect! New Gibson guitar? is amazing :D
Man, you always nail it. Right on the money. I’d love to see you take on a Jeff Buckley song.
Love your channel! Keep them coming.
How about Ten Storey Love Song??
As always top turn my friend
Star Crazy - Suede : would be amazing. Very tricky. Thanks for Debaser. Pixies are massively absent on YT tutorials.
i love this
more pixies will make me a very happy human
Blistering! Where were you 30 years ago? Thanks Adrian
Class lesson
Thank you !!
Great lesson as ever. Would love to see something by the pop group, or maybe some more PiL? I've been trying to suss out low life for a while but have gotten nowhere with it. Cheers!
those pixies were *good* !!
Saw them with Pere Ubu as the opener Georgia Theater. Early 90s.
Don’t normally comment but this was great, thanks :)
Brilliant choice Adrian, my personal favourite, most would have chose here comes you man, but you're not most, thank f..k for that.

Keep them coming
Could you do "here come your man' by The Pixies please
*comes
Stormy Weather or Havalina :)
excellent!! marvelous lesson. THat would have been 1990 at Reading, oh yes, was there too... wedding present/ride/buzzcocks/ mudhoney?? always great lessons Adrian, well done
You're my idol Adrian
awesome
sicckkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Killer !
Pixies 💚
The Amps - Pacer
I'm buying a guitar just for this song
Hey, your "subscribed" button says 100k today! Hooray!
Now Monkey's gone to heaven!
Could you get the same sound with a smaller amp and a cheaper guitar like a fender squier?
Can you do a Fugazi song? Something like Merchandise or Repeater?
You can't go wrong with The Pixies :)
EDIT:
Two guitars in a band. Back in the early 90's I had a Tele and the singer had a Rickenbacker. Similar range in the spectrum but I was much fucking louder ;)
Got a gut feeling by DeVo? Pretty catchy... consider?
Sorry, meant to add that if you were to do another Pixies number I’d like to hear your interpretation of either The Holiday Song or Tony’s Theme. 👍🏻
Hello friend, can you break down Last Call by Elliot Smith
Nice one mate, can you do Hey by Pixies too please?
Tonagraphic!
What note does he play after the F in Min. 9:29???
