The growing of cedar nut -- step by step instructions
1. Select seeds. The seeds remain viable for 2-3 years and if stored properly and up to 10 years, but the best sprouting seeds to have fresh.

3. To grow a cedar from nuts, seeds need a long stratification. Seeds prepared as follows: first, in the course of 3 days soak the seeds in water. Then mix the nuts with moist sand and stored in the fridge (any other place at a temperature of +4-6оС.). You can just put in the snow.
4. After about 5-7 months, the nuts are ready to germinate, so they need to be washed and sown in pots. The recommended sandy loam soil, and planting depth -- 0.5-1 cm Pots kept indoors at a temperature of 20-22oC. To germinate seeds need a fortnight (a month) after planting. Once the seedlings have emerged you need to make sure they get enough light, but were not constantly under the sun.
