Adding any glass between a lens and a subject can cause problems and may screw up the photo. Pro photographers who do use filters for protection of the lens as well as other types, use very expensive photo glass filters. These pieces of glass from these numerous sources are not made for photos, and might off minimal protection.
However, 99 percent of photos taken with a camera phone are used only to send a photo to someone to see and not for large print production. So shitty photos are ok.
And the glass used in a Samsung phone camera is hard to scratch and hard to break. So why use them?

not really bro, these kind of camera lens protectors normally do not affect photo quantity as the centre part of the protector is a layer of tempered glass and it protects the lens when hitting a stone or something sharp (I've seen many customers who broke their phone lens and had no idea how it happened). You can't really compare a phone camera with a medium format camera like Hasselblad as their focus and usage are totally different, even though a photo shot on Hasselblad could also be shared on social media but not used for business printing, so it totally depends on your needs.
