I have been watching reviews of the P5NC and I immediately noticed how this guitar seemed to have much better projection. Even though it is a higher level instrument I still don't think there should be that much of a difference between two guitars that are only two steps away from each other, P5 vs P7. Too bad the P7 is much more expensive than what I am looking to spend. Electric guitars are what I play the majority of the time. Getting an acoustic is something only because it would be nice to have one to noodle around with every once in a while. Thank you for the review.

Does battery life die much quicker while using tube???

I've not had to change batteries but one time since I got this last February 2014. I have other guitars that have the same preamp and it last a very long time.

I play cool tube and I have to change the batteries every 5 shows. You must not be using the electronics that much if you don't have to change the batteries. I know several other musicians using the cool tube that change the batteries every 5 shows as well so I know that my unit isn't broken. I have the CTP-3. Maybe the 2 is different and doesn't use as much juice.
