This was a great podcast! More of this more relaxed atmosphere is great. Lex and RJ are complete opposites it seems :) Here is my (admittedly chat GPT curated) joke: Why are luxury watches bad at telling jokes? They always take too long to wind up.
I really enjoyed this light hearted podcast guys. And you exposed me to a few watches I had not previously heard of, and others I had forgotten about. Well done.
I think Alain Silberstein has/had some humorous designs. I always liked the Pikto Smileday. I'm wearing a Spinnaker 50 Phantoms today, as we're getting close to Halloween :)
I thought Lex was about to say that erotic watches are more horny than horological. I love watches that are a bit fun, and this episode was a lot of fun as well. I put on my Studio Underdog 🍉 while watching this.
[Curmudgeon mode on.] I find it weird that people still reference Monty Python, it's humour from 60 years ago. Things have moved on considerably in the last half century. As for the topic, lightheaded watchmaking is ok by me. Kermit popping up on the first of the month, or Mickey on the dial is a risk-free smile. Humour, however, is subjective. I don't know how many layers of approval and market testing they go through, but I can't think of a humourous watch I find remotely amusing. The idea of a bunch of watch company execs trying to be edgy and funny is probably the best joke of all.
Just looking at RJ’s body language one knows this topic does not resonate in any way, shape, form. They’re not my thing but just like Limited Editions, I understand and approve of brands doing it. Just don’t go overboard in either the humor or the frequency.
The 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor joke got me. 😂 Great episode gents.
I honestly didn’t get that one.

You guys should’ve done today’s pod over a few drinks. 🍺. RJ definitely needed something to take the edge off 😂

About time people stopped taking watches too seriously!

Loved this episode!!
Great pod guys - this is my fav lineup
Dream team - thanks, Nacho, Lex, and RJ!
Don’t forget the Breitling Logo. Along with the Omega Speedmaster
RJ: "The gold Deep-Sea" :D
Ragazzi, vi adoro. La brillantezza e il flow della conversazione sono sempre a livelli fenomenali. Un piacere ascoltarvi. Un saluto dall' Italia.
Grazzie, Luca!
I wish Seiko did more funky and fun pieces like back in the day
The Speedy Pro had balls decades before Panerai did the Cazzomir. :)
Also the Breitling Logo
Thanks for the good laughs!!!
What's the book on the table?
The 007 Archives
Thx
The H.Moser&Cie "Cheese Watch" was the best .

Watches need at least 100m of humour resistance. Discuss.
That’s a Panerai with attitude. Does Lex speak Italian? The part before the “mir” is common profanity in Italian gangster films.
You could say jlc are having a laugh with there price increases 😂
