it's good to see that I managed to passively get to the various strategies by myself. no need for a degree in physics: the tube looping slingshots the vehicle, soft landing and avoiding contact makes it so you gain as little friction as possible, then hard landing dissipates a lot of your gained speed to the ground, so an angle of attack that's as low as possible will always give an advantage. I don't think you understand how the tubes work, when you go on the side you're not "activating any curb boost", you're just keeping your momentum, and if you stay on the side the whole time, you're actually losing speed, you have to let the car take you to the side and back down eventually, or else you're just wasting energy keeping yourself on the side of it
Jack Crosland it's hard to see but you bounce in the tubes no matter what, it's just that when you're on the side it's more visible because the camera angle has to change, just like it does when you're upside down
It depends, like if its a turn in a tube you can go up a little and then down, causing you to speed up. Usually people riding on the side of a tube are faster as well, but I guess the best thing is to avoid contact, lol

Thanks for all the tips. This is very helpful for me. I'm keeping this. Edit: looking through the comments and found some salty ones and normal ones. But now every pro racer will know this now. But I really hate when noods crash at u and going the wrong direction.
Personally I feel like under specific circumstances, bumping is useful. If you know how to do the Pit Maneuver, you can spin someone else out in order to keep going forward with a very minimal speed loss. The *only* flaw with this is if you mess it up, you spin out really bad yourself. High risk, high reward.
Tip #13: When you want to skip a loop, like on Double Loop or Raton, or do any other shortcut or trick that involves going to a complete stop. Hover over a story mode character and select it, when the screen goes black hit whatever your cancel button is, you'll see that your car has instantly stopped.
honestly dude i feel that i have become much better at races in gtaV thanks to you pepole used to ram me off the map i didnt know what was the fastest wayi just wanna say a big thank you
i was going to say it really doesn't take great speed as much as it takes careful positioning. ive respawned, backed-up over and over (in solo mode online ) to practice it at a little slower speeds as well as full race speed to get that aim correct and not bounce from hitting...
Subbed:) only thing i have to say is that its quicker to hold the throttle on 3,2,1 and then let go just before go and then once it says go hit the throttle again
Okay somees of these tips are basics, but it still a good thing to see them. For me, there is juste a little more thing to say: Know you'r car. know her weakness, how she react to a given situation, and be able to know what you can or can't do with her.
The few that I use Blind attack: this will work at night or if it's a locked first person race. If it's night then find a place to pass that is safe and if you get blocked off, switch off your lights. There is a chance that they won't see you and won't defend the position. It's not the best but might work. First person version is go where if someone looking behind them, you can't be seen. When you can't be, wait for a corner where you have the inside and cut your line tight and bleed your line into theirs 2) "friendly" taps. Not pushing somebody hard enough to spin them but throwing them off balance then passing them 3) the gutter run. Using dirt or the inside of the apex and hooking the inside tire onto it, giving you the inside. 4 is a risky one but still) the irohazaka jump. If it's an extremely tight hairpin turn without a guardrail blocking an area where you can jump before the corner. You gain very little distance, might miss the checkpoint and it only usually works in custom races. Enjoy these and I ain't arsed if you didn't read to this. I understand it's a long comment and an old(ish) video
It's a laptop. Laptops are designed to tolerate fairly high temperatures. I worry about temperatures above 94C, cause i got lag issues. I have a cooling pad and an exhaust fans.
+Rodolfo Reitz Have you got a 960m or higher? I see good fps at prolly very high settings. Also, it depends on the cpu, the max temp is listed online. Usually it's 95-105C.
it's a MSI GT683, I bought it in 2010, specs: SSD 240GB HDD 500GB 8GB DDR3 GTX 560M 1.5GB I7-2630QM Running at 720p with almost with almost all options at a minimum, otherwise I have problems recording these videos.
basically... u can't win those races if you don't know how to curb boost and own your own fully upgraded nero custom/x80/seven-70/hacuchou drag etc... Gta 5 races with custom vehicles and slipstream turned on are the worst possible environment for newer players who would also like to win once in a while. And the idea of curb boosting giving you speed is in itself is the most braindead factor they ever implemented in any gta game, as well as the "tires can clip" option. Why hell the hell did they implement either of them in the game in the first place?
JD X they didn't implement curb boosting its just a glitch, the wheels basically touch the inside of the wheel arch which tells the car its touching two surfaces basically adding to the speed
JD X trust me the x80 isn't the best in normal races if you bring a x80 to a race people will aim at you they will always want to spin you out if you have the x80 but in a non-contact race you are more likely to win with a x80
Great video, learned a couple of new things. The soft landings are just reducing your air time which gets you on the ground quicker and reduces the amount of landing force helping you to not sit on the ground longer after a higher impact. Not saying anything is wrong, I would've just made it a "Reduce air time" tip.
I'm part of ur notification squad now and the fact that u spent ur time making this video without CLICKBAIT or selling out it fanominal love it keep it up
well they cant ram other cars in other racing games cuz they never have fun and crazy car crashing physics, but in gta races they do it cuz- well it has that element
Another tip is that if you hold R1 (PS4) you can do turn your car in more ways. Such as if your car is facing backwards mid-air, just hold R1 and turn your car with L3.

Not using any shortcuts? I must have been watching a different video than you because I saw shortcuts. Technically they are all shortcuts because each thing/tip/trick reduces your time, hence a shortcut. Shortcut does not just have to refer to one going in a slightly different direction to cut off part of the track
You couldn't have done worse to show your point of "Avoid contact", you showed 2 clips of you being offroaded bc people successfully knocked you and one clip of you knocking someone else? Clearly showing the benefits of contact.

The *only* flaw with this is if you mess it up, you spin out really bad yourself. High risk, high reward.
Tip #13: When you want to skip a loop, like on Double Loop or Raton, or do any other shortcut or trick that involves going to a complete stop. Hover over a story mode character and select it, when the screen goes black hit whatever your cancel button is, you'll see that your car has instantly stopped.

honestly dude i feel that i have become much better at races in gtaV thanks to you pepole used to ram me off the map i didnt know what was the fastest wayi just wanna say a big thank you
you are welcome
nice video dude keep up
thanks :)
Great video. For the shortcut at pier race does it just take speed to skip the second loop of do you have to hold up?
Henry Silacci it takes speed to skip de second loop
i was going to say it really doesn't take great speed as much as it takes careful positioning. ive respawned, backed-up over and over (in solo mode online ) to practice it at a little slower speeds as well as full race speed to get that aim correct and not bounce from hitting...

The few that I use
Blind attack: this will work at night or if it's a locked first person race. If it's night then find a place to pass that is safe and if you get blocked off, switch off your lights. There is a chance that they won't see you and won't defend the position. It's not the best but might work. First person version is go where if someone looking behind them, you can't be seen. When you can't be, wait for a corner where you have the inside and cut your line tight and bleed your line into theirs
2) "friendly" taps. Not pushing somebody hard enough to spin them but throwing them off balance then passing them
3) the gutter run.

Tip #1
Don't try anything in this video if your in first place, you will lose everything
Sounds like u had a bad expirience doing it in first place xD
Max 00000000 then git gud 4head
dude you gonna destroy your cpu buy a cpu cooler
It's a laptop. Laptops are designed to tolerate fairly high temperatures. I worry about temperatures above 94C, cause i got lag issues. I have a cooling pad and an exhaust fans.
Rodolfo Reitz how expensive is the laptop u game on i know that some 500$ gaming laptops can handle gta 5 at medium settings and have about 50-70 fps
+Rodolfo Reitz
Have you got a 960m or higher? I see good fps at prolly very high settings.
Also, it depends on the cpu, the max temp is listed online. Usually it's 95-105C.
it's a MSI GT683, I bought it in 2010, specs:
SSD 240GB
HDD 500GB
8GB DDR3
GTX 560M 1.5GB
I7-2630QM
Running at 720p with almost with almost all options at a minimum, otherwise I have problems recording these videos.
Rodolfo Reitz
Whoa these specs and running gta at 60 that's pretty good. I rarely get 60 fps with 960m 1080p, cuz most settings are very high.
Tip: if you are in a rocket voltic map, save your boost for when you already jumped to have less airtime which SAVES A TON OF TIME
Me geting flashbacks when i was a kid.
Why is this in my recommended after 2 years 🥺

basically... u can't win those races if you don't know how to curb boost and own your own fully upgraded nero custom/x80/seven-70/hacuchou drag etc...
JD X we are all new players @ some point. learning how to use these advantages will help u eventually.
JD X its not a seven-70 its a racecar massacro
JD X trust me the x80 isn't the best in normal races if you bring a x80 to a race people will aim at you they will always want to spin you out if you have the x80 but in a non-contact race you are more likely to win with a x80
it is seven-70 because of its insane top speed, the racecar massacro has a way slower top speed!
thanks now I'm a master 😎😎👍
Great video, learned a couple of new things. The soft landings are just reducing your air time which gets you on the ground quicker and reduces the amount of landing force helping you to not sit on the ground longer after a higher impact. Not saying anything is wrong, I would've just made it a "Reduce air time" tip.
I'm part of ur notification squad now and the fact that u spent ur time making this video without CLICKBAIT or selling out it fanominal love it keep it up
Whenever someone rams into me, I'm like "Congratulations, you played yourself." They crash most of the time.
well they cant ram other cars in other racing games cuz they never have fun and crazy car crashing physics, but in gta races they do it cuz- well it has that element
I know this is petty but if someone crashes me and screws me over I crash them back and mess them up big time
this helped me so much
best race start:
keep engine at high revs when starting
Another tip is that if you hold R1 (PS4) you can do turn your car in more ways. Such as if your car is facing backwards mid-air, just hold R1 and turn your car with L3.
Oh nice, thank you!
With these tips i will win every ra-

great video but I don't think you know what "shortcut" means, half of those clips were just you using the other 11 tricks
John Rivera it said shortcuts AND tricks
Not using any shortcuts? I must have been watching a different video than you because I saw shortcuts.
Technically they are all shortcuts because each thing/tip/trick reduces your time, hence a shortcut.
Shortcut does not just have to refer to one going in a slightly different direction to cut off part of the track
The shortcuts don't even work, they crash you out and make you lose air.
Wow thanks. Now i will win every stunt race. Even against ramers
I gotta say, excellent job.. there wasn't a single thing in this video that I already knew-aside from slip streaming and contact... thanks!
Cheers mate
You couldn't have done worse to show your point of "Avoid contact", you showed 2 clips of you being offroaded bc people successfully knocked you and one clip of you knocking someone else? Clearly showing the benefits of contact.
kkkkkkk, you are right, i thought nobody would notice. I did not mean to knock them, i was trying to protect myself.
