Thank you for sharing that piece of advice from Laura Fry on trying a new method multiple times before changing back to your original method. I recently got a sectional beam for my Schacht Baby Wolf and am so disgusted with the first attempt, I almost took the sectional off this morning. I’m going to give it a second chance, but like you said, front-to-back is sometimes more ergonomic. Threading went so much faster previously in the FTB method with the back beam removed (3 hrs FTB, instead of 13 BTF).
You're welcome! I think I go loom by loom in another video with my FTB vs BTF warping preferences. I've only ever worked on an older Baby Wolf where the back beam doesn't come off...and have always preferred FTB with the way the Baby Wolf is made.
This is the best video i have found on warping!! It clears any confusion/uncertainty with all the info you provide- but yet its perfectly short and sweet to the point! Those other videos that are like 30 minutes long i just cant watch!! They say so many words and lose me because they dont get to the point. So this is my favorite video hands down im surprised you dont have more of a following already but yet again the weaving world is a small one these days. Thank you so much for your uploads!!
Your comparison of beaming methods is just the what I've been looking for. I'm taking a weaving workshop soon; the instructor uses a front-to-back method where I've only ever used a back-to-front. Your video gave me confidence that I can use the beaming method I know...b-to-f. Thanks ever so much...

Oh, I’m so glad it’s helpful for you!
Back to front seems reasonable. I bought a loom. Planning to learn. Your explanation makes sense.
Glad it was helpful!
Just got a loom, and am about to learn weaving. I was looking for this exact information - thanks!!
You're welcome!
When did you remove the lease sticks?
