Miami won chips when you had dominant players. Nothing wrong loving the Heat, but the team as constructed is not good enough to win a chip. The Celtics and Bucks have bragging rights over Miami because they got over the hump whereas Miami is celebrating about getting to the Finals and losing because nobody expected Miami to get there.

Bam adebayo can be the most ‘important’ player on a championship team but not a championship teams best scoring option. It really is as simple as that. If Miami builds around bam like he’s gonna lead them to a championship would lead to a team that never has enough talent to win it all. But if we build with bam but also pursue an ELITE scorer than a team with bam adebayo can win a championship

Problem is Bam's now being paid like he's the team's best player, which makes it harder to actually go get the type of elite player the team needs.
Bam is no better than prime Draymond Green, who was GS's most important player, but never was their top paid player. The biggest contract Green got was the one he's currently on which pays him $25 million a year. Bam is making too much money for his capabilities, IMO

The Heat should start Jimmy at the 2, Ware at the 5, Bam at the 4, Rozier at the 1 and Jovic or Robinson at the 3 (but with a quick hook). Tyler at the 6 man.

Bam isn't elite at anything. He's just a very versatile player, which people are conflating with him being elite. Bam is the quintessential "jack of all, master of none" player.
I agree with your comment. Bam would be a great #3 on a title contender. Put Bam on the Celtics. He would fit in nicely as a third/fourth option on offense.

Ware is not proven and should not start yet. He can be a back up and maybe gets a few minutes a game at the five with bam. But should not start. Jovic is our best option at the 4 this moment

Bam is a solid contributor on offense as well, just not an elite scorer yet. I don't agree that a leading man needs to be the top scorer in the league, but no doubt they need to be elite on defense and a 20 ppg scorer and thats what Bam is. Why do so many elite scorers want to play with Bam?

Elite means you're being compared to everyone who's ever played NBA basketball, not just your current contemporaries.
Bam isn't an elite defender all-time. He's no better than prime Draymond Green. Bam doesn't have elite level, size, strength, or athleticism. He's not an elite shot blocker, rebounder, or at getting steals. He'll likely never even win DPOY
Bam isn't a legitimate 20-point game scorer. He's never averaged 20 pts a game for consecutive seasons. People like you are purposely rounding up Bam's scoring average because you know 20 pts per game is an important benchmark to hit to be considered a top-level 2-way player
Bam is the quintessential jack of all, master of none player. Other elite players want to come play for the Heat not just because Bam is on the team. So stop it

Bam hast accomplished anything and doesn't have the requisite skills and physical attributes to be considered elite.
He's hasn't won DPOY. He hasn't even made consecutive All-defensive first teams, hasn't led the league in blocks, rebs, or steals. There's absolutely no evidence supporting Bam being elite on defense, just great and versatile.
Being elite means you're amongst the best ever to do something, not just currently. That is the truest definition of elite.
Rudy has elite size and is elite at rim protection and blocking shots. Smart was an elite perimeter defender. Who cares about their scoring because we're talking about thier defense.
