Man I remember the first time I saw this in an arcade, all the skulls and weirdness was trippy. I tried playing it, but even back then I just couldn’t keep up with it. I kept getting too distracted looking at all the weird sprites. And the speed! You’re either too fast or too slow. I do enjoy watching other people make mincemeat of this game, though. Excellent play of a challenging title!
In all my playing It’s Funny how I managed to score 14 million plus at arcade normal mode and 6,700,000 something at very hard mode and still to this day haven’t fully mastered clearing the stage 1 boss without getting hit even once! Stage 1 boss to me is definitely the hardest and most challenging to clear unlike any other boss in the game.
Achievment unlocked ! Congrats !!

I bet that it looks gorgeous on a CRT, but the game looks stunning even on an LCD screen!
Such a great classic game

Just me, or the 1st level song kinda sounds like the 2nd level song from the first Raiden?
It sure looks like the creators of Raiden borrowed heavily from this game and also KyuKyoku Tiger.
Seibu Kaihatsu inspired by Toaplan? Blasphemy. 😉
He gave up in the end after countless died
Compile??
Toaplan
@@PEG in the description you wrote "5th game by compile"
I guess that was a small mistake?
You are correct, I will fix it. Dunno why i wrote that.
