"niggas talk a lot of shit but that's after I'm gone because they fear me in a physical form" - Makaveli Tha Don Big ups to Keith Murry for showing love and keeping it real and not twisting shit and taking bad about Tupac after he's gone. California Love!!
+solarcoreproductions PAC had an acronym for THUG LIFE (The Hate U Give Little Infants Fucks Everyone) & He said he wanted it to be like the black panther movement
^true... Pac's formula was good for the 90's, but we're in a whole new world now. 90% of what he said is still valid and with a little work most of his ideas can be recycled but for the kill or be killed money rules thing. that paradigm is recently outdated.
Daddy Phantom you said they wanted us to believe that it was about a nigga having beef with another nigga but what else can we believe when we see him and a bunch of other niggas beating the shit out of another nigga.
Utmost respect for Keith Murray, whenever segments of his songs started playing in this interview I couldn't help but start bopping my head. Nostalgia right here
He clearly says we squared off & still kept it cool smh the media wishes they could restart a east coast west coast beef not realizing they got legendary guys killed just for raitings
It was deeper than that. A lot of it wasn't ratings in their eyes... these were guys that took it to heart, the white folk poaching them for bread were the ones that take it lightly. These were mostly authentic thorough hood dudes that heard difficult in themselves
Thank you Keith murray. Twenty years ago as a 13 year old I fell in love with hip hop with the classic song The most beutifullest thing. Let cassette single play over and over and over. Much respect I'm on drugs too.lol
this was on repeat for me too between 1994-1996 mr murray - most beautifullest, get lifted lost boyz - renee mobb deep - survival of the fit, shook ones mic gernomio - masta ic das efx - real hip hop grand puba - i like it heltah skeltah - operation lockdown smif n wessun - wrekonize, wontime channel live - mad izm odb - brooklyn zoo show & ag - next level remix big L - put it on, mvp az - sugar hill nas - it aint hard to tell, one love
Keith Murray, in my personal opinion could of been as Big as Redman or Erick Sermon as he had the "IT" Factor. The problem was he was always getting into trouble with mad people. It's ashamed he's more known for being a loose cannon that an artist. Guy had so many skills.
+Cinefreek Productions It's understandable considering the family background he had,it was a rough life. His Mother and sister died of HIV,his aunt was murdered too.
'The most beautifulest thing in the world' is by far one of the most intelligently written hip hop tracks of all time. I also had an immense respect for Keith Murray for the simple fact that he put a lot of thought into his rhymes. A shame things didn't work out well for him - but then I guess that's what happens when you smoke too much weed.
@Doctor West.. I def knew it was b4 DeathRow cuz Big Stretch was on that joint, I was just sayin Pac n KM had linked up b4..... but u r very correct that maybe Ron G or somebody threw KM on there afterward, and Pac n KM werent physically in the studio together? That is possible
My high school homie and I ran into Keith Murray in the ATL airport, Thanksgiving 96, he had a boombox bumpin' and was searching for a place to buy blunts... A few minutes later we saw a Def Squad logo on the back of a black jacket, in the baggage claim, got a chance to meet Eric Sermon too!
Pac is a legend but I'm so sick of people saying that he was the best. That's not true. There are better lyricists but Pac fans don't want to admit it. Some people act like he could do no wrong.
Respect For Keith MR. Murray I don't think he gets the respect he deserves hes been at a long time and is always straight up tells it how it is no bullshit...
I'm glad I jumped on this because I seen that edited version of the original where they cut and clip what he originally said about him squaring up with 2 Pac and winning.
That means people who are addicts but they get live and you couldn't play them about their habit they might give it to you raw, a person that doesn't even get high
Another thing honestly Tupac and Keith Murray were the same kind of person both had explosive personalities and Keith shud of been as big as Pac in the hip-hop game but only thing that kept him from that status was he was a super loose cannon but his talent can't be denied I would love to see him come out in this day and time with a album he would probably end up as the best rapper in this generation Murray was the Truth and still the Truth bars were banans.
He and canibus are very similar in my opinion... Both could have been top 5 greatest lyricists of all time but just made some bad decisions , for canibus his bad decisions were music related and with Keith his bad decisions were more personal life... Just my opinion but honestly lyrics wise he's one of the best ever
it's good that he cleared out the 2Pac rumors. But still the song "I Shot Ya" was a clear indication of the tension between east and west at the time; so many indirects including Keith starting off his verse with "I'm here to make a dollar outta 15 cent" which is a line that Pac used in his music, almost mocking Pac. For Keith to say that song wasn't aimed at Pac or the west coast in general kinda sounds like back peddling to me.
His double album, All Eyez on Me, is one of the highest-selling rap albums of all time, with over 5 million copies of the album sold in the United States alone by April 1996.
im not even gonna lie. i never heard of keith murray, or his music. but knowing that he's an O.G. in the game tryina make a solid comeback, i will check his music out based on his personality alone.
Keith murray didnt diss tupac all of yall they just talked it out in the house of blouse cuz pac thought he and LL cool J dissed him on the track I shot Ya.
No its means that when he got confronted by one of pacs friends (outlaws) right before pac got to approach him i think murray must have slaped or pushed him so thats when pac must have step in front gis face pushed back or just got real aggressive and said hold up we got problems thats my homie ,ya niggas dissing me on that track who shot ya ,murray and pac by that time were squaring up... Ready to throw them hands but someone must have said or did something to stop it ,i heard red man was there too
He literally jus told this story to vlad and said they both asked a question and that was it..they shook hands..I believe this one is true..most "gangstas" have an image to maintain..here(some yrs ago) he still had that childish mentality..today in 2020 hes grown

he never said they fought. he wasn't lying, he was just trying to state he wasn't scared of him.... the way he stressed it i believe he was intimidated. however him n them lod boys always fighting at a event.
I was there when this went down. It was not a fight but some verbal jabs. It was at the House of Blues on Sunset for a show Onyx was headlining. EPMD performed, Das Efx, Redman and Keith Murray. That night was crazy cos there were full of Hip Hop artists. Pac came in somewhere in between the performances with at least 10-15 dudes deep. I did not hear exactly what was said but from some of the people/artists that were around themat that moment, Keith was already lit as last I had seen him he had 2 bottles of Heineken tucked in his letterman jacket and he approached Pac saying something to the effect of "I'm on your side of the coast now, what's good?"...Redman jumped in between them as some pushing ensued and that was it...they smoked it up at the end of the night while Onyx performed. Pac and Keith Murray ended up in the 2nd floor (Hospitality/VIP Balcony) watching the show as well as the Foundation Room. It was never a fight.
Generic!?! Fool ur generic, those are all rappers that at one point in there respective careers was considered the best in the bizz.... and I suppose u have a better list?
Salvador Villanueva 2pac isn't the best, he's the most influential, personally. I don't see Rass Kass, Lauyrn Hill, Cannibal Ox etc in your list either
Rob B LL is the guy the made the song. Keith was featured on the song. Pac and Keith squashed the beef. Redman and Onyx was there and witnessed it. I'm sure Pac and LL squashed their beef. LL talked about it. And there's a picture of Pac sitting in front of LL at the MTV Music Awards. There's no news about them having a scuffle after the show.

Keith underrated as a MC.... You a Thesaurus when listening to his Albums... Krazy Vocabulary!!!!
the collaboration I love to see is Kurupt and Keith Murray, that would be incredible.
Kurupt will Krush Keith!!!.....lol
An collaboration means to do a song together not battle each other.
Pac is a legend but I'm so sick of people saying that he was the best. That's not true. There are better lyricists but Pac fans don't want to admit it. Some people act like he could do no wrong.

The most beautifulest is one of the GREATEST songs ever… period
he said he squared off .. that just mean a fight ..
They stood ready to box .....but they didn't. That's what that means.
It also means to battle or confront somebody. He doesn't necessarily have to be physical, but also be verbal.
it could also mean "worked our differences out"
Keith can't fall off, and you aint ever FALL ON...
it's good that he cleared out the 2Pac rumors.
Fredro Starr told this story as well. They only squared off. But squashed it and smoked blunts together.
No
Back peddling ass.
