Ladders As Far As You Can See plus Super Colorful Minerals

- After leaving the pavement, we drove the Jeep about 15 miles on a dirt road to the point where it made more sense for us to walk the last mile or so to the mine we planned to visit. We have been here before, so we knew the road conditions. Before entering the mine, we found a couple of interesting cans where an old mine camp was located. Once inside the mine, we explored the areas we had skipped on our earlier visit here. This time, we were prepared with rope and climbing gear to descend down the steep ladders safely. We explored the interesting lower level and then found a ladder going to an upper level that we also checked out. Lastly, we looked at the ballroom stope filled with colorful minerals at the center of the mine. This is one of the most beautiful "ballrooms" that we have seen with the most colorful minerals that you can imagine. This is a re-edit of a previously released video. We hope you enjoy the explore!
Here is a link to the video of our first trip here:

You two are so great, fearless but safe, great camera and still photography very good lighting! Thanks for taking me along on so many adventures over these several years. See you soon.
Hi Robert. You're welcome, and thank you for the awesome comment. We have the nicest subscribers and comments like yours prove it. 😊👍
Tom and Julie I really enjoy your videos thank you for sharing them.. you're a lucky man Tom to have a partner like Julie..
Glad that you enjoyed it. Thanks for the nice comment!👍☺️
Very impressive mine, you weren't kidding about the all the colors, take care and be safe T&J
Hey Raiderman. It sure is a colorful place. Thanks for watching!☺️👍
There were some beautiful minerals in that mine. Thanks for taking us along. Take care of each other and be safe.
Hi Ed. Yes, the minerals hete are certainly beautiful. You're welcome, and thanks for watching!👍☺️
That's the most colorful mine I believe I ever saw. Tom you and Julie do a great job I really enjoy watching y'all explore those old mines. Stay safe and bless you both.
Thanks for the nice comment, Jimmy. Hope you're doing okay!👍🙏
Another nice explore, thanks !!!!
You're welcome, Phil. Thanks for the comment!👍☺️
9:16 to 9:18 those dark Minerals could be Hot (Radioactive). 10:00 Scalers Step would be my guess.. Gobbing can be used in many ways , dispose of waste rock, hide trash, cover privy, support columns and cribbing, control air flow, close off ole working, Pro: Hide High Grade Ore, Con: and one to watch for is False Floor Support, False Floor can be Cantilever and only Anchored in by the Gobbed inside 19:18 If you're in NV we call that Nevada Turquoise otherwise its an awesome Copper Pillar. 21:30 My guess is the main commodities are Copper Gold and Silver. Whenever in Copper Mines watch for Deep Blue Crystal, that's Azurite and a tiny piece could bring $30 or more. Awesome Explore, Thanks!
Thanks for the detailed and informative comment. We appreciate it!👍☺️
Awesome colors. The mineralization is so cool. Thanks for sharing.😊
You're welcome, Richard. Those colors are great. Thanks for watching!👍☺️
10:04 My guess is it's a small windlass that's been cut in half (or it broke in half).
That could be. Thanks for your input!👍☺️
Love you guys always a pleasure to watch. 🇦🇺
Thank you very much, Terry!👍❤️
Yay, another day exploring with Tom and Julie 👍
Thanks, Lloyd!👍☺️
Another excellent video Tom and Julie, keep them coming 👍
Hi Donald. Thanks for the nice comment. Glad that you enjoyed the video!👍😁
The channel mine in gal ice Oregon was one of my favorite hunting spots, was a hydraulic mine in the day, wish I could get pictures for you
I know that you have mentioned that area before. I have not seen it. Thanks, Timothy!👍😁
Bottom of the shaft, just miscellaneous junk, cross off this mine as a body dump site.
Well, I hope that's not the case, although nothing would really surprise me anymore.😁
Sorry to see Tom at the end of his rope. There were some tough old guys that mined those places. Amazing mineral veins in this one. Lovely day for mine exploring!
Haha, the bitter end of my rope. The colors are great here. Thanks for the comment!👍☺️
Another great way to start out Saturday is by exploring with, Tom & Julie!
Lots of color in this one, and some sketchy-looking rocks that were hanging loose.
Gold is now over $2000.00 per oz. Please keep on doin' what your doin'!
See ya on the next one, take care.
Thanks, Jimmi. Glad your day got off to a good start with some good color. I hope gold keeps going up!👍☺️
I remember this one Tom lots of copper sulfides very nice colors take car and thanks for sharing
Hi Keith. Yes, lots of different minerals here. Glad that you enjoyed it!👍☺️
I love that temp and view. Childhood can key and opening to drink. I think we opened Hawaiian Punch that way? Pretty sure I did it. I know I opened a few can keys over those😏 years
I do like that mineralization, the ladders and John Vi (Spanish) something name.
It's been arctic cold for a week or more.
Hi Rick. Yes, nice temps and I hope you survive the cold snap. Many cans had the key for opening. Ham, coffee and sardines were common ones. The minerals are great to see. Thanks for commenting!👍☺️
very nice thanks for sharing
You're welcome, Jerry. Thanks for watching!👍☺️
Awesome video !!! , there's definitely alot of mineral deposits in this mine
Yes, the minerals are unbelievable. Thanks for commenting!👍☺️
Another score! i like the ladders!
Hi Dave. The ladders are a bit of a beast. Thanks for watching!👍☺️
Just think of all the work those miners did so you guys can inspect their toil... Great explore my friends. 😉
Hi Max. Mining is definitely hard work. Just exploring the mines is hard work. Thanks for leaving a comment!👍☺️
Awesome explore. Thanks for sharing.!
Hi Chuck. Thanks for the generous $20.00 tip. We appreciate it very much!💰👍👍

70 degrees it's going down to 9 degrees tonight up here in the North just slightly envious lol :-) Peace

@@TomandJulieMineExploring That's right I spent many a winter in Northern Ontario I know where your coming from. They used to have car races on Lake Superior lol I'm looking forward to another diddie of you on guitar. :-) Doug

Hi Dave. Hope you enjoyed the mine. Thanks for the comment!👍☺️
I'm glad the miners left some of that vein for us to see! Wow!
Wow is right. Thanks, Lesley!👍☺️
Hey guys, Tom,,, what is all that groaning I heard as you came u that 100+ foot ladder?? Oh was that the ladder?? the rope maybe??, Yeah, i am 67 and it is snowing here, i knw that sound. ; ) stay well you two.
Hi Mick. This is not getting any easier the older I get. I think maybe the ladder groaned a bit. Thanks for the comment!👍☺️
you know now that I think of it, I bet it was the ladder. ; )@@TomandJulieMineExploring
Yes a very colourful mine and worth a visit so well done, it's a shame the trophy hunters have stripped most of the mines of their artifacts that should be there for ALL ? to see ay, anyway still great to go with you two on your exploring, take care Cheers
Hi Brian and Mary. Yes, it's too bad that many of the small artifacts have been taken from the mines. They are still fun to see. Thanks for watching!👍☺️
Wow that mine has some brilliant colors. Were you able to identify some of the minerals in that mine?
Hi Phillip. I'm not a geologist, but I'm guessing there are a lot of the usual suspects associated with gold, copper, lead, and even iron. Thanks for commenting!👍☺️
thank-you for the nice video, love the colors.
Hi Tony. You're welcome, and thanks for commenting!👍☺️
That was awesome thanks for letting me watch 👍
You're welcome, Wendell. Thank you for watching!👍☺️
Tom.....you have to do physical conditioning to stay in shape for the explorations!!!!!!!!!!
After 30 years old, we lose 1% of our muscle mass and 2% of our cardiovascular capacity EACH YEAR! Does not sound like much until you figure 10 years = 10% muscle loss and 20% cardio loss !!! Also switch to beef butter bacon and eggs for your diet.....cut out ALL carbs and sugars and bread. With that diet, your testosterone will go up and you will feel great ! CHeers !
Thanks for sharing your recipe with me. I'll see what I can do.👍
@@TomandJulieMineExploring I have been doing the BBBE diet for 5 years and lost 50 pounds, gained muscle and allowed me to get back into my cardo training. Carbs and sugars are evil! Cheers !
Finally got a chance to watch your video. Awesome explore the colors were amazing. Thank you for taking us along. looked a little sketchy down in the bottom.⛏️⛏️👍🍺🍻🍻
Yes, another very colorful mineral vein. It's definitely a bit sketchy down below. Thanks for watching, David!🍺🍺🍻👍
wow that's my initials my name DON H that weird..
Haha, that is a little weird coincidence. Thanks for commenting, DH!👍😁
GOD Bless the Color's in That Mine ! Awesome Guys ! What were They ? Copper Turquoise, silver Lead & GOLD ? 😅😂❤
Hi Mike. Yes, I'm guessing copper, gold, lead, and iron are all here. Thanks for the comment!👍☺️
Did you guys get a shiny new Jeep or is that a rental?
We have two Jeeps. 1962 Willys and 1994 Wrangler. I must have just washed it.👍☺️
Miners like their beer. Ladder didn't seem super safe... 165 feet is a long way to drop!
Haha, yes, the miners like their beer. Almost as much as you and I do. Thanks for commenting, Matt. We appreciate it!👌😁
Tom and Julie are my ears, eyes, nose, and especially legs,,thank you for getting me out of the house.
Our pleasure, Timothy. Thanks for following along with us and for leaving all the comments!👍👍😁
Wow, that was a very interesting mine, lots of incredible minerals👍🇺🇸👍
Hi Tony. Yes, the minerals here are outstanding. Thanks for commenting!👍☺️
Looked like still minining

Hello Frank. We're glad that you enjoyed the explore. It sure is a colorful mine. Hope you have a good weekend, too. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍☺️
sure is a lot of ladders! great exploration i dont think i saw the original video of this one yet// amazing colors in there wow!
Hi Thorn. The colors are great. There is a link in the description to our first visit here. Thanks for commenting!👌😁
@@TomandJulieMineExploringthanks ill check it out
8:25 pair of Levi's hanging there?
It's probably another $87,000 pair of vintage jeans. Seriously, every time I try to look at something like that, they are so full of dust, holes, and rat crap that I instantly regret moving them. Thanks for the comment!👍😁
Gorgeous minerals indeed, y'all. Almost makes me wish I paid more attention in geology class
in school - for about 5 minutes. 🙂
As we go through a week of serious deep freeze and snow here in the "south", I watch your videos
and dream of the day I just sell it all and head west...
Thanks as always, see you on the next one,
- Ed on the Ridge
Hi Ed. Yes, the minerals here are great. I should have studied more about geology, too. Hope you can stay warm. Before you know it, winter will be over, and then it will be too hot. Thanks for watching!👍☺️
Wow, what a mine! The colors were just incredible. Also incredible Is your conditioning! The wear and tear going up and down those mountains and mines must take quite a toll! Hope both of you are eating your Wheaties. Thanks for all the hard work!
Hi Al. Glad that you enjoyed the mine and the colorful minerals. It does take a lot out of us doing these explores. Thanks for the nice comment!👍☺️
No faces!
Are you talking about the face of a drift?
I would assume Tom, amongst all of those colors in the vein, they were only fixated on one of them. As always, enjoyed the video. I hope that you and Julie are doing well.
It's hard to say what all was targeted. Keep in mind that many of these mines were worked multiple times by different operators going after different metals, sometimes decades apart. I would think gold and copper were amongst the target here. It's also listed as an iron mine. Thanks for watching and commenting. We appreciate it!👍☺️
oh cool, you made it back over there, fun shaft you went down, now you know the mystery of it
Hi Ken. Correct, I don't have to lay in bed wondering what is down the shaft when I should be sleeping. Hope all is well and that Kenny is getting better.👍😁
It appears I'm off by a day!
Haha, I wasn't going to say anything. At least you're ahead and not behind.😁
Beautiful old mine! Lots of strap rail! Thanks Tom and Julie!
Hi William. It really is a beautiful mine. You're welcome, and thanks for watching!👍☺️
Would be cool to find a 1950 fallout shelter, bet there's a few.
There are some around, but most have been cleaned out or vandalized.
Hey, cool video, pretty colors n long ladders, i enjoyed it, ya"ll take care n be safe
Hi Gary. Glad that you liked the video. It's a fun place full of color. Thanks for watching!👍☺️
So far I've seen every episode, but don't test me on it..

Thanks for watching and commenting, David. It was a fun one!👍😁
Where
Hi Ruthie. This is in Nevada.
Wonderful mine with such a colorful ore body. Thanks for sharing it with us. You two are my favorite mine explorers by far!
Yes, it really is a special mine. Thanks for the nice comment!👍☺️
Thanks again tom and Julie for the great video .Those colours in the rocks are amazing . I see that you ran out of rope tom do you and Julie intend to go back to this mine to go even deeper down to the very bottom of the mine
Hi Tony. I had just enough rope to get to the bottom, so there is no need to do this one again. Glad that you enjoyed the colors. Thanks for the comment!👍☺️
Could you imagine finding an unopened can of coors that old? Wonder what it would taste like?
It probably wouldn't taste very good. I'll take a fresh one, please.🍺🍺
Hi Tom & Julie, this was such a colourful mine, I'm glad you went back to document the rest of it.
I hope you guys are doing okay, we are all fine but a bit busy as our Daughter Rosie has started to
collect old vintage bicycles, guess who already knows how to fix them lol. She has 11 so far with
the oldest being from 1939, she wants to show them at local vintage & steam rallies this year.
Sending lots of love to you both. xx 🥰💞
Hi Sue. Thanks for watching and commenting on the video. All is well for us.
That sounds like a great hobby for Rosie. It sounds like you might be the lead mechanic when they need repairing? I hope she finds some rare bicycles that have survived the years. Take care!👍😊❤️
@@TomandJulieMineExploring lol yup I'm it I think for putting new brake cables on and changing tyres lol. She does have a rare one, it is a Raleigh RSW Hercules, she also has a Raleigh Chopper mk 2 and a mk 3. xxx
Real Oregon gold mining, have you seen it?
Only the dredging. The hard rock mines are so wet that everything has rotted.😬
Thanks for the beautiful vistas!
You're welcome. Glad that you liked them.👍😁
Very cool . there's some big room's in there. l made sure I watched all the adds . keep safe.😅😅
Hey Eddie. Thanks for watching. Why aren't you sleeping? I'm not sleeping either, lol.
@@TomandJulieMineExploring you know me I get up at 12:00 am . Sounds like you're living in Paradise. If I was there I'd be surfing everyday.
Nice adventure.
Thanks, Brad. Glad that you liked it!👍😁
