    That is the key to ri.se bars. Been making and using back sinse 2011/12. I ended up using a section of olastic gutter as an offset frame. We have these plastic gutters in the US, sort of angled U shape. Cut a piece off and mounted the bar on it. This allows me to adjust the bar height and gives an offset off the brush to allow the spray to cover the brush splay. Also a plus on commercial frames so the bar wont get damaged mashing along edges and corners. Bars, ideally need to be not straight but mounted a bit off and back so the next step in bar evolution is a sort of hinged frame so you not only have up down but back and forward. Even better if the mount was a bar clipped to it so you have bar spray rotation up and down.

    Just purchased a rinse bar from gardiner, as you say first using I thought was not that good especially for the price (hopefully gardiner can look at that as seems ott on price) Used a for a week and overall it’s all ok, saves taking brush off glass or frames. Would I recommend it, afraid not, if cheaper then maybe , but as you say uses a lot of water, and is not that much faster. Good video.

    I’ve always wanted a constructor brush because of the rinse bar , but I don’t know if your putting me off this or not. Keep us updated on how you get on with it. I suppose if it speeds you up it’s a bonus but then again a higher flow rate on any jets will speed you up

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christopher Hawthorne you are right it dose speed you up and you don’t use that much more water as you rinse quicker. What brush are you using?

      Squeaky Clean Dave at the minute I’m using the ultimate dupoint. I like an extreme for the weight though. I use 3mm jets aswell

      Christopher Hawthorne I liked the extreme but it didn’t last long enough. Have you tried the110 degree fan jets

      Squeaky Clean Dave yes that’s my problem with the extremes aswell so thought I’d give the dupoint ultimate a go . I have but only use them for pvc cleans. I had a go with them on my own house for a normal clean and got a bit of spotting with them as I did with the red ones. They mustn’t suit my cleaning technique or something 👎🏻

      Christopher Hawthorne as you say doesn’t suit your cleaning style. We are all different. I’ve got a new DuPont in the van I was going to do a review on. Looking forward to giving it a go👍

    Do you find it can rinse too high Dave? Especially when you are rinsing near the top?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steven Lee Hi Steve it doesn’t seem to have been a problem yet as you can change where the the jets spray so if you want it will spray on the bristles

  • @doubleawindowcleaningphil5003
    @doubleawindowcleaningphil5003 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Dave, just got myself one and wondering do u have it so it clears the bristles or for it to hit the top bristles as your cleaning? I’m finding if it clears the bristles then it doesn’t take much for it to come apart if knocked when cleaning?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Double A Window Cleaning Phil I have it so it clears the bristles. It does seem to be getting a bit looser and I’m not sure how much I can tighten the screws without pulling them out of the brush.

    • @doubleawindowcleaningphil5003
      @doubleawindowcleaningphil5003 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Squeaky Clean Dave it does seem that way Dave, I think they should have made it so it sits flush but the spray bar missis the bristles or make the rinse spin and tighten up so it can be adjusted. Not the best idea from them but nearly there.

    Thanks Dave I think my problem is two fold
    Cheap pump supposed to be 90 psi but I don't think it's putting out 90
    And I'm running 200 feet on pole hose

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dave The Window Licker the small diameter of the pole hose will slow the flow down a lot. I used to use 8mm hose but it’s surprising how much extra weight that extra 2mm adds so I settled on 6mm

    • @davethewindowlicker2367
      @davethewindowlicker2367 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just did an experiment I use only 40 feet of wfp hose and it worked great . I had 50 feet of 1/4 inch and 200 feet of wfp hose.. so I'm going to order 300 feet of 1/4 and reduce my wfp to 50 feet. Its my first season with a wfp going to get it dialed in.

    hey squeaky,
    what psi is your pump
    how many lpm
    what size and length is the main hose
    and how long is the pole hose
    I have a constructor brush and am not getting enough spray from the rinse bar

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dave.
      The pump is a 12volt Shurflo pump which can go up to 100psi.
      The flow rate is 2.2 lpm I’ve just measured it. I use approx 300-400 litres a day
      The hose on the powered reel is 100m of 6mm internal diameter and I have around 40’ of pole hose
      Hope this helps

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dennis Hilton I used it for a while but I prefer to use a wider brush so using a Gardiner Ultimate 35cm with 4 100degree fan jets. They have just brought out a low pressure one so you don’t have to have your flow so high which would help.

    • @dennishilton5365
      @dennishilton5365 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Squeaky Clean Dave Noticed the low pressure version on Gardiner site that’s what prompted my question, I also uses the 100 degree fans and like them also if Gardiner released a 35cm rinsebar would you choose that over the fan jets? Thanks Den.

      @@dennishilton5365 good choice. Until a few years ago I never tried anything new. I thought the kit I'm using is works so why change it, but after a few conversations with my little brother I started trying out different bits of kit. Not all of which I liked but very soon I started to find things that suited my style of work and when I found those nuggets the amount I was making went up which outweighed the things I bought that I didn't like. Hope you enjoy your new spray bar. Let me know how you get on. 👍
