I've seen some loaded teams that didn't make it to the national championship and maybe some that didn't win their division. You can have all the talent you want or can get but if you don't coach them up mentally physically and confidence you'll have a mediocre routine

OSU couldn’t score on Missouri. Your O Line is hot garbage and your D Line was run all over by Michigan when it counted. You won’t score much on Michigan this year. We average about 36 a game on Ryan Days soft teams. Your QB lost his job so he transferred in. Your hoping
OSU’s starting center was out, also had to reshuffle the offensive line with other players. A true freshman 3rd string qb with no significant snaps all season comes in for the injured Devin Brown. Missouri sees a young qb and different oline and stacks the box for the run not fearing a passing game, and brings constant pressure for the run and passing downs, OSU without 2 of their top 3 wr’s and out 2 of top 3 rb’s. Missouri was a good team that gave Georgia at their home serious trouble. All of that contributed to OSU’s struggles that game on offense, we know if they have most of those pieces in order the result would’ve been much different. OSU’s oline struggled earlier last season but gradually got better as the season progressed and was a good unit by the Michigan game. OSU’s oline was good enough to beat Michigan but an unfortunate trip by an OSU lineman allowed a Michigan dlineman to make a play to cause the game sealing int. The Missouri game was anomaly. OSU’s oline has good experience now and Chip Kelly will help the unit even further with his good blocking schemes. So with that oline will improve to be at the very least a top 10 oline nationally and could very well be a top 5 unit. It will be at a top 2 or 3 unit in the Big 18, only Oregon will probably have a better line and maybe Penn St( a big maybe) Will Howard will be improved having the experience, being developed by one of the best with qb’s in Ryan Day and being coordinated in a mobile qb friendly system by Chip Kelly. Both coaches philosophies and concepts blended together will be extremely dangerous especially since they are very familiar with each other. Oh and Howard and Chip Kelly will be playing with and coaching with way more talent than either has been with before. OSU’s defense will take pressure off of the offense cause it will be the best in the nation. So Michigan won’t be doing much scoring on OSU with an offense that has to replace many pieces and those replacements aren’t from top 10 recruiting classes cause that’s what it takes to have a chance at sustained similar success. Despite some experience its’s still all new starters at the oline, Orji isn’t much of a passer at all and a new coaching staff. Offense will struggle and that will put pressure on Michigan’s defense to keep them afloat and they won’t be as effective as the season before. It will still be one of the best but not the best and not better than OSU’s. Will Howard is a better qb than anyone on Michigan’s roster and OSU will have the better offense and defense. See how close the game was without cheating last game? OSU will be better than 2023 while Michigan will be worse than 2023.
