From generation to generation, farmers in Luwu usually pick cloves using a ladder made of bamboo which is then perforated to attach a wooden ladder to each segment which is then known as "Jeka" ... well as technology develops, new innovations or ideas emerge for replacing the stairs that were made of wood then turned into iron ... of course the ladder will be more practical and durable, and easy to manufacture
