The genesis was when Reagan became wildly popular and lefties in the news media said "we've GOT to stop him!" Out went balance and objectivity and in came "advocacy journalism" where the news person essentially cheerleads for one side, mostly the Left. The reports are full of editorialization and loaded words. They were all reporting Hillary was a shoo-in for the presidency in 2016. The coronation was on! But Trump ruined that and the media and the Uniparty will never forgive him for it.

I work in peoples homes. Almost without fail when I come inside and CNN is on they turn it off. Its as if they are embarrassed to be watching it. I always think to myself, why watch it then?

Building back trust takes time and effort. The way they handled the town hall didn't do them any favors. They thought just platforming him would get new people to watch and it did, but then they just showed those people that their bias is still firmly in place.
I hope this keeps happening. These networks have been drinking their own Kool aid for decades, and now they're preaching to crickets. I'm sure they're not going to actually learn from this; that being the case, I hope they go off the air.

My in laws are in their 80s and will have MSM on just from habit but are not watching. I'm pretty sure there are more people like them which leads me to believe the MSM ratings are actually worse than they seem to be
