I just found videos. I’m a city girl from country ancestry and it’s where my heart is. I find my peace in Knitting and all things nature. Thank you for these beautiful sentiments and visuals to begin my day. So peaceful and well received🦋🙏
Hello dear friends! I've actually watched thru, then come back to watch bits again ❤ Exciting things stirring in the forest! And, I want to thank you for providing an unexpected answer to me, watching the segment with Aric maintaing the forest - a bit of guidance for some things that need doing in my own forest. So thank you, as always x o
I'm so happy to hear that you got some valuable insights from watching Cary! We take this opportunity we've been given to take care of this land, for as many years as it wants to be ours, very consciously and with great care. Every decision is thought through and actions taken with full awareness of their impacts. thank you for sitting with me in your morning, what an honor! ❤️
Magpie is waiting it’s turn as you find those treasures to eventually bring for us to enjoy. Hearing/seeing more of your Mother’s work/passion will be a joy. 🙏
Thank you always Nancy, for your kind and generous support 🙏🏾 I truly appreciate your continued friendship to me. I think you're right about the Magpie tho 🥰.
I have just found your channel, and found it absolutely charming. I lit a candle with you at the start and really felt the benefit of sitting with you breathing quietly. You are a very talented lady and I look forward to watching more of your making and teaching about the forest. I loved your little Guardian of the Forest. We have those in Scotland too. He is called a Ghillie Dhu. Thank you. 🙏🏻
Oh how lovely! Ghillie Du! I will remember that 🥰. Thank you so much for letting me know that the moment for silence and light was of some value to you. It truly lifts my day when these little seeds are sown in hearts that are waiting. 🙏🏾🌷
Thank you so much Selma, for this incredibly generous and kind response to the podcast. We put so much into these, and it's very fulfilling when someone I know finds it and appreciates it. Thank you for taking the time to be with me 🥰🙏🏾
I don't think I can say how absolutely lovely this was [and you are] - thank you for sharing something of your art and craft, your life, your mind and soul.
beautiful! i love hearing about your culture and hope to hear more/learn more from you about your traditions maybe even recipes? do you have a recommendation for affordable fabrics from Sri Lanka? you live a dream really, i'm lucky to live in Western Washington and do go out almost every day in nature but always feel the same depression coming back into town wish i'd never have to and had my own cottage like you. Really love your owl and the little friend you felted.
Thank you Daki, this is such a pleasure to watch. I’ve been meaning to find time to watch your podcast for quite a while now and now I must go back and watch your others. So many lovely things in and out of your hands. The dot work embroideries, your felted forest creation and hearing you speak about Indigo dying, all so lovely to see and hear about. You are right, it did make you shine as you spoke. I also really loved the interspersed videos, into the verge I especially enjoyed as it’s a perspective on a different place and that is always interesting to see and find out about. Also your shrug is beautiful! I was admiring it the whole time and so was glad to see it in full at the end. I think it is your own design? (I was looking on Instagram too. ☺️) I love the combination of knit, crochet and Tunisian stitches. I don’t know if you were thinking of a making a pattern to sell, but if you were then I shall look forward to it! Edit to correct your name! Silly auto correct!
It is an original design indeed Sandra! And I hope to have it for release in fall. A very sincere thank you to you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful and generous feedback on our podcast. With all were juggling these days, I won't lie, it takes quite a lot out of us to keep bringing these moments of beauty and calm here. I am so grateful to you making the effort to let me know which parts of the pod you enjoyed. Heart is full! 🙏🏾🥰🙏🏾
A warm hallo from Germany. I find the mixture of your wonderful Podcast quite enchanting and fully meets my interest. I also love the forest and roam it with my dod Ebers day. Yoga is wonderful for my body and soul and handicrafts, for the family and me, making beautiful things is very satisfying. Your calm way of presenting all the beautiful things is to watch a festival. Thank you and best wishes from Iris P.S. This time I was unfortunately unable to activate the translation program on TH-cam, is that perhaps due to a setting of yours? Unfortunately, I didn‘t understand everything because of that, but it was still nice👍
Thank you so much Iris, for watching the podcast and for taking the time to write these kind and sweet words for me! It means so much to us both as we put a lot of work into these episodes. Firstly I must apologize that you were unable to see the closed captions on this episode; some reason TH-cam automatic subtitles did not work on this episode, but they did work on my previous episodes. So I believe something has gone wrong in this instance. We are trying to find a solution for it for this episode, however if we don't rest assured that the following episodes will definitely have captions enabled! Thank you for being here with me Iris!
Hello Iris, After seeing your messages, we went and looked at ways to enable autocaptions, and it seems to be working now! Please let us know if it works for you, and if it doesn't, by all means feel free to contact us. (Arik, Wool and the Forest)
