Morocco truly is the jewel of North Africa
I am glad for the remarkable economic rise in Morocco, hope I visit it soon, from Tunisia with love ❤
from Morocco we love you Tunisia 🎉❤🎉
With Morocco co-hosting the World Cup in 2030, I hope they continue the high-speed line to the other host cities, linking them with the other venues in Spain and Portugal.
Unless the Gibraltar Strait Bridge/Tunnel is completed in 5 years it looks like they won't be connected to Spain and Portugal.
@@alfrredd they both seem comited to make that tunnel finaly happen, but I highly doubt it will finish before 2030 if it even gets made(Morocco's small economy could hardly keep up with the cost of building such a project, and the EU is not ready to pay for most of it), but they most def will have TGV between Tangier and Marrakech ready by then, wish is nice.
@@YanzdorlophAbout that,I heard that the project has been proven to be impossible to realize due to the active seismic nature of the region
@DarkTitan-wm5zn bro they are still working on it, no one said it's impossible, only hard, due mainly to the depth rather than quakes
@Yanzdorloph Yes the cost estimate is inhibitive at this moment, but it's important to note that large projects don't work like that. Usually the state provides assurances to investors who actually finance and run the infrastructure for a given number of years.
If the financial scheme works, meaning there is financial incentive in building it, there alwyas be someone with deeper pockets to finance and own it.
Great footage as always and I learned something new, there's TGV in Morocco.
Yes. A very well made video.
Welcome to Morocco 🇲🇦
I hope you have a nice stay❤
Thank you Tom. You are such an inspiring traveler!
Just wanted to thank you for sharing your journeys around the world with refreshingly genuine storytelling. Your Tunisia series encouraged me to visit the country recently, and I thank you for inspiring that beautiful, life-changing experience. Can't wait to see where your Moroccan adventure takes you next!
Beautiful Morocco 🇲🇦 ❤️ 👍🏻🇲🇦
“ More inquisitive cats than you can shake a bowl of couscous at ! “😂
Where do you find these one liners Tom! 😂
Parlez vous Morocco…? 😏
Seems another spectacular adventure, Tom, thank you for sharing…🚄
6:36 To answer this question, yes. France does get its part in the new Marrakech HSL. Among other things, they'll supply 18 next gen Alstom Avelia double deckers and they've won an infrastructure contract to build a 36km section of the total 400km line.
France? How odd it is to bring corporate competition to nationalities. Odd and backwards, and a little disrespectful to Morocco who had the foresight to make the decision of investing in its future.
@@Sayitlikitiz101 the French President goes to countries to "Sign" contract with them so yes it's France
@@Sayitlikitiz101 Well I'm not going to name every participating French company by name. The same way I would say China and Morocco won the rest of the infrastructure contracts. I'd assume it obvious that I refer to companies from these countries rather than the states themselves.
Yesss! More train action! Get your tickets punched, everyone. Conductor Thornton is taking us on a ride…
Love your understated delivery style.
Did you notice Tom, that Al Boraq drives on the left? This is because of the French influence. Where did the French (and Belgians) receive their railway mentorship from, the British of course. Al Boraq also runs on 25kV AC, the European standard in the UK and France for high speed trains.
If only the UK can build a true High Speed Line on its own. Having invented the train and everything else as Brits like to remind everyone. Thank you Britain for inventing walking too, my ancestors were getting tired of slithering on the ground. You just couldn't keep your pelts clean.
@Sayitlikitiz101 What's HS1 then if it's not high speed?
Who brought those fields at first glance to dark Europe before Andalusia Era! If not to the world oldest university which is eventually located in the city of Fes, we will never gonna enjoy the high tech in everything we do nowadays in every aspects and fields! They try to demolish the truth since then! Fabricating lies about the inventors and killed the real scholars and took their inventions to cover up,.etc,..
@@Eurobazz It Is for all its great length of less than 70 miles! Also, the UK used French and European engineering to make it happen. Which is okay but makes it a little difficult to refute the "on its own" part of my comment. How is HS2 going?
Dear Tom, I’m happy that you loved Morocco and that you’re enjoying your travel. You put so much efforts into making such a beautiful video and that’s also informative. Please be more careful when sharing information, Macron isn’t going to invest 10 billion euros in Morocco, these are contracts worth about that amount. Means that French companies will be paid 10 billion euros by Morocco to built infrastructure and so on. Enjoy your stay and thank you again
I hope you enjoy your time in Morocco! I have one quick tip: be cautious when shopping, as many stores tend to overcharge tourists. It's a good idea to do some research before making a purchase. If you're planning to travel to Marrakech by train using AL ATLAS, I recommend booking First Class. The seats are spacious and comfortable.
Beautiful ❤
Welcome to Morocco ❤❤
Great video!
welcome to Morocco 🎉❤🎉
As you correctly mentioned Morocco was a france protectorate for over 40 years, so they had control over foreign affairs and military. But i don’t think there is any influence over architecture or culture. You’re talking about an empire of 13 centuries of history, unlike otheR colonies like Algeria where the influence is tremendous over all aspects of life
Most of Casablanca looks more like a french city than an Arab one. The French built all these big white buildings.
@ true but morocco isn’t only casablanca :) it‘s maybe the newest city with the less history. And Morocco isn’t arab, it s a mixture of moore, jewish, berber.
Also the sugar in the tea is also used on their national airline
Well made video,thank you.
Now that you've done al boraq it's time for the sequel to the doorless train video you did in Tunisia 😅
Play it again, Sam…🎹🤣
Oooh oooh!!! Do ACELA next!!!
Let's go
320km
🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice video
❤❤❤
4:30 Naaaaa man, you are one of those ?????
😎👍
Actually the operation speed is just 320 km/h
😀
🥳🥳🥳
just so you know Morocco is a millennial kingdom that s 1300 years old we were established around 730.
320 km/h (200 mph) Not 350
French food and culture in Morocco what!
Just snails and croissants as far as I know
@SaifeddineElyamoune yes that what I wanted to say and as a moroccan I don't even eat snails or croissant msmen is the best
You just went directly to Casablanca, you missed a lot in the North, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the Medina of Fes the cultural capital of Morocco, the Beautiful mountain towns Chefchoan and Tetoan
I thought that China won the contract to expand Morocco high speed rail?
@@damianmoodley594 No, there are Chinese and Moroccan companies mainly ,plus the French one Alstom
👍
👍🎉
Nice video, but in the end it's just a French TGV train. The price is amazing!
Vive la France ❤
Vive l algerie francaise ✌️✌️
Je ne vois pas le rapport. Vive la France et sa technologie qui a permis de construire cette ligne. Le TGV fierté nationale.
A aucun moment l'Algérie est mentionnée.
Dima Maghrib 🇲🇦
Merci RACHID YAZMI ✌️

350 km travel distance in over 2 hours, average 175 km / hour then....
the name Boraq wasn't mentioned in the Quran al Kareem
اسم البراق هي الدابة التي كان يركب عليها الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم
Nice video
