Woah...the 2nd Edition is *gorgeous.* As is the 4th Edition, which I've seen on their Etsy. I've got the 1st Edition, and it's probably my favorite to use out of the decks I own. It's not the easiest for me to read- the Thoth wordings sometimes distract and confuse me because I use it more as a RWS deck, but it's not something I can't get past, I tend to read intuitively anyway with a little help from the guidebook if I get stumped. Conversely, sometimes the Thoth suggestions add to the reading, it really depends on the context and which cards are pulled. I also struggle with most decks being too large for my hands, and the finish really makes shuffling much easier than with other decks, and the art is nothing short of, once again, gorgeous. I pretty much immediately bought it when I stumbled across the 1st Edition listing on Etsy, and I've got no regrets. The newer editions are definitely just as jaw-droppingly amazing, but I'm perfectly happy with the edition I've got.

Thank you for the great review! I wanted to add that the key words on the minors aren't Thoth per se, they are Golden Dawn, to which both Thoth and RWS belong (though Crowley did shorten and adjust them slightly, they are mostly the same and can be seen on the Hermetic Tarot deck). I will say that I'm very impressed by how seamlessly the artist blended the visuals from the two decks! A lot of Thoth imagery here. Have you enjoyed working with it since you purchased it?

Thank you so much for your honest review on this deck. I've been eyeing it for quite some time & I think I'll be getting it! I have a question... Being that the material of the cards is linen what type of marker or paint you would use to do the edges with?... I've been wanting to do the edges on a few of my decks, but I'm afraid the color will transfer to the cards and ruin them... Thank you in advance!🖤

Really liked this Tarot deck, love the design and colours, but cannot for the life of me understand the reasons for the descriptions, limiting for someone new/newish to Tarot, annoying and interfering with anyone advanced, as one constantly needs to blank out the wording.
I personally find the words off-putting, so it's very likely that I miss out on this, even though I find the artwork very special, and am impressed with the linen finish, it will make the cards flow like water due to the trapped air in-between them.

Most certainly due to the Thoth/RWS hybrid nature of it. The descriptions are firmly Thoth in nature, as the Thoth is a pip deck. I can personally ignore it, but I’m not blind to the fact that it definitely can be distracting.
