AGILE PROJECT LIFECYCLE PHASE:
Pre-Phase A:
• Evaluate the mission or the project scopes.
• Develop initial project scope (iterative like lean).
• Identify apt stakeholders (Internal/external).
• Define top level system requirements (Resources).
• Define the ConOps. (Concept Of Operation).
• Then submit the ConOps to the respective stakeholders for the approval.
Phase A - Conceptualization:
• Prepare a base line and define the architecture. "That should meet the expectations, requirements, and constraints."
Phase B - Design & Prototyping:
• Planning (Lead Time, SME (Subject Matter Experts)/Owner Details, Risk Analysis, feasibility study - Iterative in nature)
• Cost, Technical.
• Prototyping and it's assessments. (Integration Level).
Phase C - Testing & Evaluation:
• Evaluate the output, whether the architectural design is meeting the expectations or not.
Phase D - Production:
• Finalize the design and start the mass production based on the approved change configuration documents.
NOTE:
 All the project management methodologies are strictly focused on the business ROI (Return on Investment). We can offer iterative or continues improvement in project and 100% customer satisfaction. We can reduce the waste, control of cost, and good result.
 We can implement the changes in each sprint or stages, so flexible in nature. But be aware about the lead time. (വളക്കം, പക്ഷേ ഒടിക്കരുത്).
 Ensure the continues monitoring (But don't try to enforce micromanagement) and meetings with IPT (Integrated Project Team) meetings.
 Maintain a risk register and prepare the RBS (Risk Break Down Structure) and WBS (Work Break Down Structure).
 Keep the OTD (On Time Delivery) promises.
 We can implement this agile methodology in any field, whether it is R&D and software based or hardware production-based sector.
 Agile is more align with BTS (Build-To-Specification) based companies.
 All the planning and implementation is technical possible only with the help of respective SME's (Subject Matter Experts). So, keep the rapport with them. People management is very very important.
* WATERFALL METHODOLOGY :)
It's a traditional practice, it's not that much effective while comparing to agile. A lot of limitations for continues improvement, because already the project is defined and structured based on the respective architecture by customers. It is focusing only BTP (Build-To-Print) based companies.
-- Five Phases of Project Life Cycle:
 Initiation:
• Define the Project Scope and Objectives for CFT (Cross-functional Team) members.
• Evaluate the roadblocks, prepare the mitigation plans, WBS (Work Breakdown Structures).
• Identify stakeholders, resources, and budget.
• Arrange the Kick-off meetings with IPT members and define the project objective and accept the feedback and implement (be open for others opinion too).
 Planning:
• Plan the schedule or lead time of each phase, ensure the CPI, SPI's are within the project cost.
• Handover the project to respective SME's.
 Execution:
• Production, Testing (Electrical/Software/Reliability), QA.
 Monitoring & Controlling:
• Monitor the working style and outputs of each phase.
• Ensure the meetings with team and give the guidance and ensure the constrains.
 Closure.
• After the completion of project/OTD. Need the approval from customer.

Product Owner Owns the Product as the role suggests. I am not sure what head of development team would mean. Maybe you have a specific usecase in mind. Can you tell me what benefit that would bring. ?
