At the 15th of April 1912 at 02:20 a.m. , the biggest and best transatlantic of all time, disappeared in the depth of the ocean. Only 706 people could survive and were saved by the carpathia (A ship of the Cunard line). The other 1500 people that died because of the sinking of the titanic, were never found again.
So apparently “titanic” sinks quite often. There’s been quite a few, about 3,000 of them by date sailing from different ports. This one from Southampton is indeed the one shown in the movie with Jack and Rose. The one that sails from Southampton does sail toward Australia 🇦🇺
A fictional novel was written in the 1890’s that described almost the whole incident down to maiden voyage, unsinkable, length & weight, think the name was even similar, but don’t remember everything, I read it or about it in Jr. High, that was a LOVE NG TIME AG! Might look it up, makes you wonder, eh?!

Also that ship from the book wasn't exactly the size as Titanic, but close enough. It also didn't just suffer a glancing blow but actually ran over a submerged piece of the iceberg, opening the bottom almost along the whole lenght of the ship. Also it sank pretty quickly in comparision to real life Titanic.
