I made research papers in academia, i was emailed that I was mentioned to some researchers but I cannot know who mentioned me. I was too curious though bt I ddnt subscribed to premium.
Hi Sergio, thanks for watching. I don't have premium at the moment so I can't really check. But I went to the website with my "regular" profile and I can't see "grants". I remember there was a section on grants, but perhaps it has been discontinued? I would be surprised if you could find any grants there that are not posted openly online as funding organisations have a duty to inform the public about the opportunities they offer. If you are looking for opportunities in Europe, I think the best place to start looking is euraxess.ec.europa.eu/ Good luck!

I was wondering the positive aspects like what features are expected In which they can improve or add which are beneficial for researchers as well PhD students like me? I'm confused if I should continue using research gate rather than spending time and money with Academia edu website.
Hi there. I'm not as familiar with Research Gate as I am with Academia.edu. They basically do the same thing. It used to be the case that RG was more STEM focused, while Academia was more for SSH people. And Academia has become very pushy in terms of it's paid features... Don't know about RG. I have had a few people get in touch with me via Academia, once it even lead to a publication, so I would say it is worth uploading your papers (drafts, pre-prints) to one of the two platforms.
Not likely! The purpose of the website is to allow downloads of academic papers. You only pay for premium features such as bulk download (several papers at once).

Hi, it probably depends on your region. The price I see now is 300 PLN (65 euro billed annually), I bought the subscription when it was 50% off, so 150 PLN (around 33 euro also billed annually). It's not a huge sum but it's just not a feature I felt would be beneficial for my research.
It seems kind of unfair to base your rejection of the entire platform based on one feature that you find creepy but that others might find helpful in connecting with other human beings with similar interests.
