Hi Patrick! I’m a piano player and since I was a boy I have always dreamed of playing the pipe organ. How hard is it to transition to learning the pipe organ if I have been playing piano since I was little? Does standard repertoire like Bach inventions or Hannon carry over to learning organ? I'd like to know if it's possible to get some online (and free) method to training the foot for play pedals.
I also like to know this: whe have a lot of sacred music, including for soloist (singer). The lack of the execution in Mass it's a liturgical problem or just caused by musical difficulty?

Where can I get the antiphones WITH the verses for Communion chants.
The LB, and LU both only have the antiphones, but the verses are not there! Did the monks just get lazy? Why are these verses not in these books??
I'm a composer with a choral background, and I'm starting to compose 1 to 2 minute organ pieces for church services. Do I notate "flutes" or "strings" and let the organist do registration? What if I have a solo voice in mind, do I put "solo" or specify "reed" or "vox humana"? I don't know if I'm micromanaging or not being specific enough. Thanks so much!
What books for gregorian chant do you recomend? I sing in a Schola, and currently use the Liber Brevior (my Liber Usualis is jyst too chunky!), but the notes and texts or so small. Do you have any other resources that I could look in to?
I'm looking at versets for the Magnificat, for example written by Frescobaldi, but also many other composers. I'm interested in how this would work in a liturgical context - would the choir sing 2 lines then the organ respond and so forth? Have you ever tried this liturgically?
Which composer/s do you find most underrated/underplayed for the organ?

Antonio de Cabezón, Domenico Zipoli, Francisco Correa de Araujo and many others write a lot of "versos". My problem is tho found the chant for this works.
I found at TH-cam some ensamble singing plainsong and then playing organ verses from Manuel Rodrigues Coelho
Can piano technique books work for organ (Hanon, Czerny, Schmitt, etc.), or should I use organ specific technique books?
What do you recomemd?
ps. I heard Hanon waa an organist and his book of 60 exercises may have been intented for organ. Is this true?
For organ playing, how does one learn hand and feet coordenation? I am a student and this is quite difficault to get at times. I am studying with a teacher, but he cancles more Lessons and he is giving them! I feel like I am teaching myself! He will not help me with Technique of any kind either! He is working with me pro bono, andvhas said many times that I play better than he and the other lady that plays at the church.
Do you ever get bored of your improvisations and feel like you're just repeating the same old tricks over an over again? If so, how do you fix this?
