You are right. They are using the new dance style introduced by Gen Tashi Rabgias, Mohammed Shafi Reli, and Morup Namgyal lay which is more Nepali or Indian style. Things do change, and nothing is isolated, but still.... It would be nice to show the simpler, original dance style. I have been visiting and working for music preservation in Ladakh for over 20 years, and have enjoyed dancing at various dar tses and deeply enjoy watching others do the simple steps. The slow changes of the group are hypnotic, and are not to be dismissed as boring--in my humble opinion. But hey, phyiling pa inlay. Chamet shes lay.
