      There are MANY tests on TH-cam of VW Crafter and other commercial vehicles.
      Have you ever searched for any tests before??

    i wish there as a local VW dealer in my town, then i wouldve got a crafter as a vehicle to do deliveries with, such a beauty

    What a lovely van, really high quality all throughout, beautiful, extremely impressed by this van, it has everything I want, FWD, low floor, automatic, no other make delivers everything, but this one has it all and with superb engineering quality.       FWD is only better if you "always" drive with low weights, no trailer pulling or need the extra 10 cm height inside.
      (4-Motion and Rear Wheel Drive steal 10 cm of your inside height)

    I'm not sure about reliability, my old Vw Lt 2.8 tdi 160 hp was like a tank.

    Great van very smooth van to drive and it floats over rough roads like a lexus on air suspension. Everything is easy to the toutch. The seats are sort of hard but its properly shaped in the way that it's comfortable anyways and good for long journeys. No sore arses. Handy having lots of usb's for charging devices. The handsfree is great. The van is well designed. Its not slow but could do with alot more power. If they slap on a 184/190bhp unit itll top the lot of them a beefy engine that can pull. I squeezed about 170kmh on the motorway. 140bhp doesnt cut it. Plus the fuel tank is way too small therefore lots of visits to filling stations. Great van its very refined but has a couple of flaws. Mercedes would have more pull.

      The VW Crafter also comes with a 177 HP engine.
      To beat that with a Sprinter, you have to buy the very expensive V6 version, and get only 13 hp more

    Wow, this ZF8 makes the difference... Could you test the 2.1 L Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with 7G-Tronic and rear-wheel drive?

      This is the DSG-7. The only commercial vehicles that use the ZF8 are the Iveco Daily (>2015) and the RAM 1500 (>2018)

      I don’t think so… Watching the video i’ve seen a “D8” displayed on the screen during motorway driving.
      Even though I’m a huge fan of robotized DSG, It's not durable enough to fit a commercial vehicle, I have a manual Sprinter with 540.000 km - 600 km/day of usage-, if it was equipped with a DCT, I’d had spent a lot of money with clutch pack replacements every ~150.000 km. Much more than I’ve spent... by the way the dual mass flywheel that equip manual diesels and DCTs are very fragile when exposed to heat (not all drivers are that good with the clutch and I cannot be the only one to drive my car).

      I have to admit you're right after I did some research, and therefore my apologies😂. Didn't know VW uses ZF auto's nowadays.
      Their former 7DSG is a double-clutch system and thus less useful for really heavy loads.
      The ZF8 is a conventional automatic with torque converter and is theoretical much more reliable than the fragile DCT. It's already proven as a durable transmission for commercial vehicles, looking at the IVECO Daily.

      They’re using even more nowdays. Both Volkswagen an Audi’s with 3 L Diesel or V-8 are using the epicyclic ZF-8, because they deal way better with high torques without damages. Even the Audi RS-4 lost the S-Tronic. Petrol V-6 keeps with the DSG. Today the epicyclic gearboxes can shift as fast as DCTs, lockup as low as 15 km/h and rev match like a real sport car... little less efficient, but much more reliable... As I’ve said before, the excessive heat generated on the clutches doing those brutal acceleration cause the break of the springs of dual mass flywheels dumping system. Beyond the fact that the clutch pack is a piece that will have to be replaced one day and the hard use shorts its life tremendously...
      I would like to have here in Brasil Both Sprinter and Daily automatic versions...

      no, for a full loaded van, at least 160-170hp are needed

      I'm a roofer and use it regularly to pull 3 tons and drive fully loaded +- 1000kg in loading. It can handle it and drives really smooth. BUT it is slow and no torque. So pulling up on the highway isn't fast at all.
      I'm thinking about chiptuning to 170bhp

    Really nice Van a good mate of mine at work has one ... lots of engine noise in the cabine ! engine not so powerfull and ofcours it drinks allot of Diesel but its a great looking Van :)

      I drive the 177hp version at runs asf ,only noise u hear is the turbo constantly 😂

      And yes it drinks diesel asf...i repart in mountain villages...going fast it drinks like 16l/100 min

      I'm 1m80 and had no problems. From what i remember there was more room so it shouldn't be a problem for tall people

    140BHP?! my 9 seater Hyundai has 175BHP and pulls like a rocket even with 9 people aboard. The van power is weak especially when loaded with heavy items.

      Its not the bhp its more the torque this van has at such low rpm you can feel it when you drive it
