Tico-tico is brasilian music. It’s a chorinho rithym, a specific samba variation, not spanish flamenco, tango, salsa, or bolero. There’s no “ginga” on your version, even noticing a perfect execution. Listen to yamandu costa performing tico tico on guitar.
The duo flowered the music, gypsy the music and this altered the originality of the song. The tempo of the music has been reduced. The guitar supported the violin solo. Technically, it was easier to execute, but the difficulty imposed was having to dialogue with another musician playing another different instrument. Gypsy the music was a risk taken. Both musicians had played well, but it looks like a silent cinema soundtrack. It is not a work written for the violin, but for piano. The only musician who managed to interpret this work in an exceptional way on the violin was David Garett. Garett It doesn't change the rhythm of the music. He was exceptional. I think the duo has a good future, but they will still have to work hard to reach the level of virtuoso.
