    I think modern society needs to put more emphasis on friendships life seems lonelier than ever

      Yeah but nobody can make money on friendship and in a capitalist society, social values are determined by profit above all else- so it won’t happen unless we make it happen

      Right. I was just thinking "I don't have friendships in my area because I hate my city". If capitalism worked, I could have a job with enough money to travel and move to a more enjoyable place

      Isolation is a feature of hyper capitalism not a bug. Simple example: it makes more money to sell a giant car to every individual than it does to build one bus or train line to serve many. In an ideal capitalist system money is the first and most important preocupation to the detriment of all others.

    I had to ditch my parents' dentist. He was a great guy and totally competent, but he aimed for efficiency and I needed someone that was more gentle and communicative. If a dentist doesn't work for you it's 100% okay to choose a different one.
