You guys gave the Dune a glowing review, but in my experience its user interface and metadata scraping is absolutely dire compared with my Zidoo and it has already lost access to Netflix.
I have that same player sitting under my TV right now and it doesn't rock on a flat surface, yours must be a one-off. I got it for the ISO playback, but I will say that it's hit and miss on if it's going to play the iso...some play flawlessly, some don't load. These are iso on a local drive inserted into the bay. Iso plays fine in VLC. I'm going to stick with just ripping them to mkv, I know they will play everytime that way, and I prefer local trailers anyways.
I know you know this but for others, please test your iso by burning a physical disc and then play that disc on the cheapest, junkiest player you can find. Using a crap player is a good test. The $1000 player in the back seat of your Lexus SUV might decode anyting, including bad discs. Best test is a $30 Walmart player meant for original discs.
Hello I hope you can answer a question for me. The Zidoo z3000 pro is marketed as a 8k player. I purchased this device and paired it with my JVC NX9. When I look into the settings nowhere does it allow 7680x4320 to be used. So what am I missing? Thank you.
Hi, I've heard users say that this new series has a different sound, better than the previous series! Do you think the same? I have a z2000pro with a dedicated power supply and I have no complaints about it, on the contrary I'm very happy with the investment... but if this new series improves the audio I'll consider changing it!
Great to see that Zidoo keeps making new versions of the Z pro players and improving with each iteration. I’m still very happy with my Z1000 Pro. It does all i need and never fails.
Does the box run smooth, without micro-stutters, when using the main hdmi for video to a tv and the secondary hdmi for audio to a soundbar ? Is there a setting to enable the box to split the video and audio or does it do it automatically or not at all ?
Hi Greetings. I use an LG C3 65 with my 5.2.2 soundbar. But it doesn't support DTS I guess it plays in 2 channels, but supports all Dolby including atmos. I usually consume my offline collection of movies , music. Soundbar doesn't have hdmi in only eARC , optical, aux , sub out. So if I get this Zidoo UHD 3000 pro and connect to TV's one of the 2.1 hdmi in ports and then from tv eARC to soundbar eARC. Can this setup help solve the DTS issue I have ? I hope able to explain my situation. I'm suffering long with this . Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. With Gratitude
So for someone like me who has no idea how to do this. Would all I need to make a 4k media library is this player, 16tb storage, a flashed pioneer drive, laptop and makemkv? What else will I need?

Not at all worth it. The Ugoos AM6B+ with CoreELEC installed is a much better player. It's pretty much the only way to get native Dolby Vision Profile 7 playback from ripped 4K bluray discs. The Ugoos AM6B+ is also much cheaper than the Zidoo
Hi, unfortunately we haven't had a chance to check out the R_volution but it looks like they use the same chipset, so they should have similar video and audio quality. I would guess the differences will be the software processing and the UI. Hope this helps!
@@TwoGuyzTech I thought I read recently that they were practically identical (though the R_volution cost a little bit more), but I believe the R_volution didn't support 3D content, either, so both are a "No Go" for me
I just bought this product. I am really disappointed with the music player V8.0. The main interest of dematerializing your music is to create smart playlists using star rating or keyword scoring. These Zidoo 8K models support 18-24TB drives. Right now, I think the only models they've confirmed working are: Seagate Exos, Seagate IronWolf Pro, Toshiba N300 and Western Digital Red Pro in those sizes.
I was hoping you would say these or the Dune would be better at identifying movies, at least better than Plex. Plex gets a lot of them wrong and it can be almost impossible to force it to accept the corrected data to fix it. Hopefully these will at least be easier to fix. Thanks, mfk
Stopped the video at the mention of 3D being unsupported. A player that isn't fully functional when it's only job is to play media, is not worth spending a dollar on.
Max hdd capacity support of 16TB, Seems like a hardware and/or software limitation, Dune HD Solo 8K supports 3D and has a max hdd capacity support of 20TB

The links in the description say Z2000. The link is correct but the description is not.
