What's a little confusing to me is, first he says that researching items, or people in the chapters will give you clues..and I would think that would be for the Lions share box..but then on page 229, about the 4th paragraph in the Appalachian Trail chapter he states that "of all these four boxes, this box contains more items featured in the main chapters of this book than any other" This being said...if I found a clue researching an item or person...which box do I assign it to ?? Kinda of confusing to me anyway...
That IS confusing. Some do not believe there are any clues to the four smaller boxes in Part 1. I personally believe there are and the clues that are in Part 1 aren't absolutely necessary but are just extra to the clues that are in the boxes' specific chapters. I've found a few hints in Part 1 that I believe go to certain smaller boxes, but of course there is no way to know if these are correct connections.
Yes, I think he is emphasizing the book Las Sergas de Esplandian, but I'm not sure why yet. I agree, two of the smaller boxes could be closer to an urban area rather than out somewhere remote. Which leads to wonder again how these boxes are disguised out in the wild. This chapter and eleven do share a theme of greed.
Doesn't ir make you wonder about the things specifically you do NOT have to do, like need a boat or a war about land (paraphrasing) it makes me wonder if there are references historically about locations that maybe include information about smaller boxes.

I have a hard time reconciling that there isnt "information" about smaller boxes. Ugh😊
