Acts 26:14 King James Version 14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. ================================== pretty sure it was IN HEBREW. lol and I didn't look it up other than what I pasted from bible gateway above....I have always thought he spoke in hebrew.... :)
God chose to write the New Testament in Greek. You should respect His decision. The Old Testament was written in the language of the heart, of deep emotions. The New Testament was written in the language of the mind, of the intellect. As an example, look at the crucifixion. In the gospels, we have the facts of the crucifixion, but very little of the emotions. We have to go to the Old Testament for that. See the 22nd Psalm, the 69th, the 88th, the Lamentations, for example. We need BOTH.
Your claim is false and borders on a lie! It is well knnown from other places in thw BOOK Of ACTS that the Holy Spirit makes people hear Yeshuas message in their OWN native tongue. Shauls native tongue was Hebrew! Therefore this is Not evidence even in the slightest that Yeshua Ha Moshiac spoke normally and costumarily in Hebrew to His disciples. Sounds to me like you and the great Hebrew student Mel Gibson both got it wrong here.
Paul did not hear Jesus on the road to Damascus. "it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks" comes from The Bacchae : The Bacchae is an ancient Greek tragedy, written by the Athenian playwright Euripides during his final years in Macedonia, at the court of Archelaus I of Macedon. Wikipedia Playwright: Euripides First performance: 405 BC. The Bacchae" is a Greek tragedy by Euripides that was first performed in 405 BCE. The play takes place in Thebes and tells the story of the god Dionysus, who has traveled across Asia collecting followers before returning to Thebes to punish his mother's family for speaking badly of her. Paul is the synagogue of Satan and false apostle who is demon possessed and demon endorsed and all this can be found in your Bible.
