Raga Puriya Dhanashree || Vocal, Hindustani classical music || Antora Bhattacharya

Antora Bhattacharya started her training in music from a tender age from her father Bijoy Bhushan Bhattacharya and paternal aunt Purabi Bhattacharya. Later, Antora moved to Chayanaut sangeet vidayatan to pursue training in Nazrul sangeet but found her love in Classical music as well and started training with Shree Asit Dey.
Raga puriya dhanashree is a beautiful evening raga. It belongs to the purvi thaat or group of ragas. It is a sampoorna jati raga, which means it contains all seven notes. The rishabh and the dhaivad are komal both in ascent and descent and the madhyam or ma is teevra.
