Enjoying your videos :) Could you tell me where you got the mounting for your chart plotter and what make it is please? I like the idea of being able;e to swivel it inti and out of the cabin! :)

Hey, thanks for the nice comment😁to be honest it was £10 tv swivel mount and it’s utter sh#t. You can’t tighten the arms up enough to stop it from swivelling when heeling because it crushes the arms. But I originally did it as a trial. I happen to have a decent tv mount that I might try next, otherwise I think the “RAM” mount’s are just the thing. They are about £115 though.

Love your boat! I was just wondering, what safety equipment are you planning on using for your north sea crossing? Do you carry an emergency tiller and spare antenna? Greetings from the Netherlands (come check out Hellevoetsluis, it's my home port)

Hey thanks for the comment! A friend of mine has just sailed to your home port. I’ll look it up and maybe visit.
As for safety equipment, it’s quite a long list and is divided up into personal/crew/vessel. I have emergency tiller and an emergency rudder blade too. Along with equipment for repairs- life raft- Plb and much more!😁im hoping to do a video on it at some point. But I plan for every event but hope for smooth sailing!⛵️

Sounds like a lot of preparation! I own a friendship 22 (a Dutch boat) and am planning to take it across the pond one day. Just installed an AIS transponder! I am hoping to do my first trip along the coast this year.@@boatedout

@@Babbelbob1 ah that’s so cool! You must be super excited. Come to Southwold. We have a cool club here. What transponder did you go for? I installed one this year after last years crossing without one. It’s a must for me now. To be honest all my prep is probably what’s on a big cruising boat. I just have to load it all back on. When do you think you might cross the pond?

@@boatedout that doesn't sound like such a bad destination! Most people I know did their first crossing to Lowestoft. I installed a watcheye AIS class B transponder I bought second hand off the internet. It's probably going to be in a few years from now because I just finished restoring the boat and at first I'm planning to sail to Vlissingen or Oostende. I'll keep it in mind though!
