Not that long ago it was official confirmed that all the members re-signed with the label. They were comfortable to make that public (because of shareholders they actually have to and it is also a matter of national interest... among other things because they represent their country to the world and because they make about 5 Billion USD to SK GDP that is - I think - about 0,5%). Namjoon posted a bit of his contract on IG. Besides that in interviews they always mention the other members and how they can't wait to be back together on stage together. I think Namjoon for Rollingstone Korea and JK on Radiohead where the last to do so but they all do this. I think they are pretty big: - recording artist of the year globally in 2020 & 2021 + second in 2022 (IFPI) - 3 UNGA speeches (the first one is especially good) with a performance in the UN headquarter and diplomatic passports at the third - their speech at the White House presshall and invitation to the Oval office for discussing Asian inclusion and representation and addressing anti-Asian hate crimes and disinformation - quiet a few world records actually - selling out stuff like fabric softener, cars, high fashion & jewelry for top brands - being on the "The Legacy Makers 100" list by The Legacy Lab, Team One’s brand consultancy and thought leadership practice (yes, I like bragging about them: they are pretty cool 😎) Thank you for your reaction! 💜

Run BTS was created because they needed a platform to showcase themselves to ARMY. They felt uncomfortable on variety shows so they did their own. Later, they didn't need it but they kept doing it for ARMY.
To clarify "uncomfortable" - it was because they weren't treated well by those shows...so the discomfort was put ON them, as opposed it starting with them. Important distinction, in my opinion.
This is why I really became a fan of theirs. How free and confident they are with each other and themselves. No ego, no pretentiousness. Yet, they slay. I have a son. I can only hope and guide him to have friends that allow him to be himself and give his friends the space to be themselves with him.
Whenever I have to explain why I’m still so into BTS, after 6 years, I always talk about how vulnerable and open the members are with each other and ARMY. They make me feel important and i know they are important to each other

Tae makes friends everywhere he goes he is a social butterfly and also a lot of his hand movements are sign language that he uses to include all army in the experience.
Can i just say how grateful i am about bts being so popular and considered "cool" by todays kids, especially little asian boys? I cant think of us ever having such positive rolemodels for them before, who show its possible to be badass superstars with millions of fangirls while at the same time, having such healthy relationships with one another and being in tune with their emotions. Run bts especially im so grateful for, it really highlights their great personalities that influence kids (and adults!) in a positive way. I wish more celebrities were like them.
I remember one of the first time on variety show, V explained how he would even approach guys in bathroom to make friends. He was so eager to make friends and meet new people and due to his charisma, people would become his friend. Imagine making friends with V and explaining that he approached you in the men's bathroom 😅. Only V can get away with something like that 💜 V used to be so open, innocent and more childlike at the beginning. He had to learn to tone it down because some people didn't understand that he really was truly honest and open person. Even Suga said in interview that he didn't believe V's personality was real at first. Now Suga is so protective with V and let's V get away with anything he wants. Junggukie also described V as innocent and he is younger. Maturity and experience has made V more quiet and careful but he is still our sweet TaeTae💜
When Max said V wouldn't be shy to approach a stranger, I recalled the moment from Grammys i think where he approached lady gaga (and a few other artists) to talk to her cause she's his idol and he loves her music.
Jin is easily one of the most mature member of bts. Although he doesn't seem like that or doesn't carry himself to be, he's very self aware and knows how to act in different situations.
BTS is just an absolute stress relief tool for me - take a walk, have a bubble bath, chat with a friend, watch or listen to BTS…all things that make daily life just a bit easier to keep walking through. It’s just comfortable and fun and positive. I’m grateful to have found them. ❤
Found them during pandemic.. it was soo sad and lonely I was completely isolated. Found BTS one day and soon after came across Run BTS. I started laughing so much watching them, sometimes at night I had to physically restrain myself so that I don't wake up everyone by my loud laughter.
"So what you're saying is Run BTS could cure depression." Interesting, 🤔. I discovered BTS in February of this year shortly after my oldest sister was diagnosed with cancer. I would deal with her and all the emotional turmoil that comes along with a terminally ill family member during the day, and then spend my nights exploring the BTS rabbit hole on You Tube. They were my escape. They brought me so much happiness during a time when I was falling a part. It was their brotherhood that sucked me in. I knew they were megastars, but I didn't know their music at the time. I only knew them as these "reality stars" on youtube. My sister passed away in June, and now I'm getting familiar with their music. So yes, BTS is definitely a cure for certain types of depression.
Hillary coming from an improv background, it'd be interesting to see her react to Run BTS episodes where they would do skits (Episodes 6, 11, 12...). Those episodes are some of my personal favorites.

Yes! I had bladder cancer 3 years. A very hard surgery! I thought I never smile or laugh again. I found BTS....their music and their amazing personalities brought me back to life. I make my jaws hurt from smiling and laughing
I think it was bon voyage season 3 or it could be 2, jin mentioned why he's always into making people laugh and happy, he said that's the way he makes himself happy. He uses other people to make himself happy. That's something i relate to a lot.
when the question was posed "Who has the most rizz?" I actually paused the video and almost had an existential crisis trying to figure out an answer to that, lol... They each have it differently making that answer so tough. I would say V or RM if just put into a room and who would come out from having chatted up and charmed the whole room, but given the right circumstances, any of them could do it. In smaller groups JK is very loveable and he can be shyly physically goofy while oozing talent and wild energy, Yoongi's quiet humor would draw in absolutely everyone wanting to know more (the tsundere title for him is appropriate), Jin - if he is comfortable with you is so funny with his self-deprecating humor mixed with dad jokes just makes you want to spend more time with him to gain his focus, Jimin so naturally wants to make everyone around him comfortable and comforted that it must feel like a safe place to be while also having sparkles of mischief and J-hope is so naturally open that like one of you said, you feel safe because he expresses his happiness and acceptance of everything.
I think it's a hard question because we so rarely think of them in the context of picking up a romantic partner. Tae is a smooth talker so I do think it's him too.

Max you said something very intriguing about the fact that it might be easier for guys to be close and more touchy when you don't consider homosexuality as a possibility. If it can't be that, then anything can only be interpreted as just a very close friendship, and that makes a big difference in the way guys can express their affection without checking themselves in fear of being called gay. Yeah, this is a thing. There's a homophobia curve - if gayness is considered impossible OR completely accepted, affection between same-gender people isn't loaded. In between, it's suspect. I think about this a lot.

Some idols *are* gay, that's just reality, but they're within a society that isn't very accepting so it's not like they can easily be open about that. The ones who are open face a lot of challenges. Shippers are generally fetishizing which is gross, but people angry about it are often coming from a super homophobic place, which is also gross. How DARE you imply that he's LIKE THAT sort of thing. I hate both halves of that conflict. I would like to be able to accept that we don't know if people are gay OR straight until they've told us, and just enjoy the parts of their lives they choose to share. As a gay guy, I can enjoy the intimacy in these relationships, and relate to it, without needing to know if they're romantic when the cameras are off. I'd also love it if people would appreciate their favorite idols as people... so when they date we could cheer them on and celebrate with them. I want them to be happy. Korea is going through a super rapid shift in attitudes towards gayness right now - we can see it in a lot of their popular culture. It's reminding me of the US in the late 90s/early 2000s. If you watch the recent gay dating show, the experiences of men in their 30s, late 20s, and early 20s with coming out are drastically different. It looks really familiar to me because I lived through it here. It's far from perfect now, but I came out in the 1990s and it was hell. I didn't expect to survive to see my 30s. Glad I was wrong. 💜 I hope that they don't land in a place where straight men can't be affectionate for fear of being seen as gay. But I also hope Korean gay people don't have to hide anymore. I've loved watching some of the younger idols challenge cultural assumptions. TXT Yeonjun is a great example - he's openly affectionate with men, even calling his close male friends romantic endearments, and seems completely unconcerned about what people might think about that. It's not about his identity, it's about his comfort with people's assumptions. "If you act this way, people might think you're gay" is being answered with a shrug. I have absolutely no guess about his sexual identity because he's clearly comfortable with whatever it is. It's delightful 💜 He's far from the only one, just one good example. And MOA seems pretty non-toxic about these things overall. He flirts with girls, he flirts with guys, MOA teases him about both. 🤣 It gives me hope.

After Max said that they are currently on hiatus due to the military-- well, they just renewed their contract 2 years early to make sure they will stay together beyond 2025. And yes, ALL SEVEN members signed (even Jin and Jhope), it was allowed since technically the contract will not be profitable until 2025 meaning, they did not break any rules in the military (where it prohibits working military personnel to partake in any activities that would bring them profit or payment ) That was long 😂😂 anyway, APOBANGPO! 💜

Oh I absolutely loved this reaction, you both made great points and from Hilary's very first reaction to them, she was on point! (Well, except for Tae, V, because he really takes so much more content to figure him out but once you do it's amaazing). Actually, since this chapter 2 was announced they were very adamant in the fact they want to keep up with RUN BTS, since it's where they get to work all 7 together but wind down from all the stress too. I'd love to see Hilary back for more BTS reactions. My army path started through RUN BTS, and falling in love with their personalities and interactions too.

To me Jimin has the most Rizz, as he can mesmerize all genders (making straight men question their sexuality) and he flirts with literally every one. All the members love him and seek him out for comfort, bringing up their mood and the best hugs. He just always draws people in, as the saying goes "once you Jim-in, you can't Jim-out".

Aww she is cute, please bring her back... she was mostly on point with most of them except V but we all know, he can't be boxed into a definition even after watching tons of episodes, the best you can get is that he is in tune with what he feels at that moment... My thoughts as I watched your reaction: - I love your friend. - They have all signed new contracts, so YES they will all come back together. Even without the contracts, they have all said they can't wait for 2025 so they can be back together and performing as a group. - V literally has a song called "Inner Child." Also, his hand shaking when the food arrived? That was sign language for applause. He does that sometimes. :-) He is more reserved these days, AND this was taped during a time when he was (and all the guys were) really struggling with the destruction of their plans for 2020-2021 (huge worldwide concert tour followed by the solo projects and military service they're doing now, but one to two years after they originally planned to do it all), due to COVID. He was burnt out and disappointed, and more subdued than he had been in the years prior - so a combination of maturing and being a bit down, I think. He was very different even 2 years earlier than this. Even so, you see flashes of his fun...and a LOT of his "inner child" and humility (when he hit the cameraperson with the tennis ball). - "Run BTS" (and everything else BTS) went a long way towards getting me through the pandemic, living alone and working from home for the first time ever. - Jin told RM that he likes to make other people happy, because in turn it makes him happy. He said it was "selfish" (but we all know it isn't). - j-hope and V are my biases, but j-hope snuck up on me more. He can be zany, but he is also very ambitious professionally, very caring towards the other members (they depend on him a lot and say that he's a bit like the mother of the team, to RM's “dad”), and a deep thinker in ways that aren't always obvious (unlike SUGA and RM, who have more of that reputation, I think).
When you guys were talking about the queer community in Korea and how it’s conservative in that way it makes me even more proud of bts for being so openly supportive of the community and never being afraid to act the way they want. They’ve been judged for years for being too “feminine” especially jimin and I think that makes them even greater. They truly are (to a certain point) changing toxic masculinity 💜 they aren’t afraid to show their true love for eachother, even suga he can be seen as cold but when he gets affection from the members I never see him getting actually upset about it and he’s said himself that people see him as cold but he’s actually a soft guy that gets excited over little things like dogs and cats. I think they all equally love eachother but it hits when you see yoongi showing affection and admiration for his brothers and he has such a deep love for each one of them. They are so lovely :) also I recommend you show her the next ep of run bts (ep 117) it is so fun and yoongi is super bubbly and endearing in that one

"Run BTS can cure depression." This is literally how I began my journey as ARMY. I was so depressed, but I found these guys and this show particularly, and I laughed and laughed and laughed. I swear it turned on my ability to feel again. It changed so much so quickly I literally had headaches from it. But I got up and moving, and healed so much. I lost 40 pounds the first year I knew BTS. That's the power of authentic love and happiness. I will be forever grateful to them. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
it's very fascinating to see people discover V's personality 🤣☝️ the way she was so shocked when you said V has the most rizz and kudos to you Max you know these guys so well now, but ofcourse you're better at reading people then me(us) lol. But anyways... It's funny how everyone thinks they got the grasp of what is V's personality really is he's gonna surprise you. He looks so deadass serious sometimes, sometimes so playfull, sometimes so quiet and sometimes loud as hell. Some may say he's shy but he literally is the biggest social butterfly. V is definitely the social butterfly of the group, and Jin, in large settings will make a point to drawl individuals into the group, and not be left out. Funny because Jin is such an introvert. And besides Jin, I feel like the funniest - within the group, is Jungkook. But being a huge introvert, take Jungkook out of his group, he is more socially withdrawn. They are so different in their group, take them out, and you see completely different social interactions. But put. Them on stage, and they all become beasts! Funny to watch their personalities, like at Jhope’s album release party, Jin sat in a corner by PD Bang, and played a game on his phone, until he felt it was acceptable to leave the party. Jk, was subdued, not really mingling, until hee danced with jhope, and Tae. Then he was laughing, and comfortable. Suga didn’t even go to the party, and RM was the perfect party person, mingling with everybody. But he knew so many artists in the industry, so he was very comfortable. Ok, I’ve rambled enough. I hope you did tell your friend that these guys live together, eat and room together, in addition to every bit of work they do together - 10 - 12 hours a day of practice, tours and performing, singing, everything you can imagine. There are few moments of privacy, either they are with each other, or staff or a camera is on. Even on vacation (bon voyage or in the shop) they are filmed, although staff does edit heavily for public consumption. They have a magical chemistry, but some of it came about when they were trainees (and living in one room) ages 13-18 and like siblings who just squabble. They say that when you fight, you make up, and that makes you closer. One thing I appreciate out of Run BTS is that this is mentally healthy for THEM. My heart went out to Jungkook when he was about 16, they were headed in the direction of the zoo, and he was so excited he might see a tiger. They never, ever, let up working, so every outing or episode was a very necessary opportunity for them to play, to bond not only through work and living, but actually play. They know each other so well they can read each other's minds, they are their own family.
17:21 BTS CURED MY DEPRESSION! I became depressed as a young kid and it was a continuous struggle. 2017-2019 was the hardest season. But then, a friend introduced me to BTS. I liked them immediately and was blown away by their skills but had to shelf BTS to deal with life. One year later, in January of 2020 I remembered them and decided to dive in. Lockdown was the perfect opportunity to become completely immersed, and I don't even want to consider how things could have turned out without them. I've watched all Run BTS! episodes three times or more and I'm happy to be alive!!!
i watched and learned from two very articulate persons for 30+minutes straight. BTS fandom is home to all sorts of professions and interests. i really love it! 💜 i love all your reaction videos Max! thank you also for inviting some of your friends in your videos which makes them even more interesting

I've gotten some of the worst news of my life while watching run bts, like so bad that i didn't know how to react other than just going back to continue watching. it helped me avoid the overwhelming things and take time to process it slowly? if that makes sense. And just in general, it's a safe place i can go to when everything else is going to shit. 32:20 that hand gesture actually meaning "clapping" in sign language. V has been seen using sign language a lot, he's very naturally considerate and warm like that.
The 4th thing I ever saw of BTS when I went to TH-cam to hear more of their music (after first being completely blown away by their performance on Saturday Night Live) was an episode of Run BTS. There I was, sitting on the couch laughing my head off, and I knew nothing about them at that point. Their humor and the way they interact with each clinched it for me, on top of so much talent. During the pandemic I was working from home from 8am to 3:30am sometimes 7 days a week. I was so stressed out, exhausted and alone that if I hadn’t allowed myself to watch some of their music and an episode of Run BTS before going to sleep, I don’t think I would have made it through that terrible time for so many of us.
The hand gesture he does at the food is the sign language for clapping hands. He goes to clap his hands but stops mid way signs it instead. I've noticed this many times. The most notable one is during his farewell 2020 speech.
The lack of toxic masculinity is what really hooked me... I often find myself looking for examples of healthy, wholesome masculinity, of men who can be loving and vulnerable. BTS gave me so much of that... Some of it is Korean culture, and some of it is just BTS. It's ridiculously wholesome though. And to my American eyes, it was incredibly striking at first. Men who hug each other, men who cry, men who tease each other gently and cheer each other on with real enthusiasm. It's not like there are no men here who are like that - I am! I know lots of guys who are! - but it's not what's expected of us. I know so many men who are lonely AF, feel like they don't know how to make friends, struggle for connection.
When my monthly comes, my pain cramps are so bad that I can’t even sleep, eat, or focus but when I put like on a bts concert, run bts, in the soop, etc. my pain like goes away and doesn’t return until that video is over. it’s like for that short moment I can breathe and smile without feeling frustrated or having to fake an act. They really do bring happiness, even through the shows and lives they do, they can feel the love, energy they have for army, themselves and life in general. I appreciate them for being a light. 💜

Because you held my ADHD focus the way a very good Story Teller does - & that Would sort of explain the sudden burst of (shockingly) consistent focus on my part here... 🤸😂🐿️😇🌸)
You should show her their last episode of run BTS. That was a special episode where they played like a bunch of little games and it was kind of like a little mini Olympics for them because the soccer game is probably one of the best filmed things for run BTS, besides the water episodes, that I have ever seen! We love our 7!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 And they all signed contracts again for the next 7 years, so we will definitely have them back together as a group! I'm not sure if you've watched any of sugar's talk shows with The BTS members, but I think you would find that really fascinating! Also they all miss each other. You hear it in every interview they have recently and any press work they have, and also in their Weaver's lives for they go on and talk to all army/ fans. There's so much as you know. Max! BTS is a definite rabbit hole!

I think RunBTS still exists because BTS wants to film it for army, I don’t think this is in their contract tbh. And yeah, 100% one way or another BTS will come back, all 7 of them signed a new contract with their agency! 👏💜

in the beginning you talk about the trust and good relationship these 7 must have to be able to goof around so openly. I would add that a big part is that they also have this good relationship with the staff that is filming and in the room with them! Being in front of the camera, that is a big factor, I think

I think showing newer army older run episodes ( ep 11 for example) and comparing it to the newer ones (like the flybts) they really show the growth with their bonds with each other

They were comfortable to make that public (because of shareholders they actually have to and it is also a matter of national interest... among other things because they represent their country to the world and because they make about 5 Billion USD to SK GDP that is - I think - about 0,5%).

Besides that in interviews they always mention the other members and how they can't wait to be back together on stage together.

Run BTS was created because they needed a platform to showcase themselves to ARMY. They felt uncomfortable on variety shows so they did their own. Later, they didn't need it but they kept doing it for ARMY.
cause they know RunBTS is ARMYs' happiness so they kept doing it eventhough they are super busy or while on tour. 💜
I'm still salty about how the Weekly idols MCs treated Suga when we made song for them.
It was also partly cause they couldn't get featured very often on said shows because the group and the company had very little influence back then
To clarify "uncomfortable" - it was because they weren't treated well by those shows...so the discomfort was put ON them, as opposed it starting with them. Important distinction, in my opinion.

This is why I really became a fan of theirs. How free and confident they are with each other and themselves. No ego, no pretentiousness. Yet, they slay. I have a son. I can only hope and guide him to have friends that allow him to be himself and give his friends the space to be themselves with him.
Whenever I have to explain why I’m still so into BTS, after 6 years, I always talk about how vulnerable and open the members are with each other and ARMY. They make me feel important and i know they are important to each other

Can i just say how grateful i am about bts being so popular and considered "cool" by todays kids, especially little asian boys?
I cant think of us ever having such positive rolemodels for them before, who show its possible to be badass superstars with millions of fangirls while at the same time, having such healthy relationships with one another and being in tune with their emotions. Run bts especially im so grateful for, it really highlights their great personalities that influence kids (and adults!) in a positive way. I wish more celebrities were like them.

Jin is easily one of the most mature member of bts. Although he doesn't seem like that or doesn't carry himself to be, he's very self aware and knows how to act in different situations.
BTS is just an absolute stress relief tool for me - take a walk, have a bubble bath, chat with a friend, watch or listen to BTS…all things that make daily life just a bit easier to keep walking through. It’s just comfortable and fun and positive. I’m grateful to have found them. ❤

Found them during pandemic.. it was soo sad and lonely I was completely isolated. Found BTS one day and soon after came across Run BTS. I started laughing so much watching them, sometimes at night I had to physically restrain myself so that I don't wake up everyone by my loud laughter.

"So what you're saying is Run BTS could cure depression." Interesting, 🤔. I discovered BTS in February of this year shortly after my oldest sister was diagnosed with cancer. I would deal with her and all the emotional turmoil that comes along with a terminally ill family member during the day, and then spend my nights exploring the BTS rabbit hole on You Tube. They were my escape. They brought me so much happiness during a time when I was falling a part. It was their brotherhood that sucked me in.
I knew they were megastars, but I didn't know their music at the time. I only knew them as these "reality stars" on youtube.
My sister passed away in June, and now I'm getting familiar with their music.
So yes, BTS is definitely a cure for certain types of depression.

Yes! I had bladder cancer 3 years. A very hard surgery! I thought I never smile or laugh again. I found BTS....their music and their amazing personalities brought me back to life. I make my jaws hurt from smiling and laughing

when the question was posed "Who has the most rizz?" I actually paused the video and almost had an existential crisis trying to figure out an answer to that, lol... They each have it differently making that answer so tough.
I would say V or RM if just put into a room and who would come out from having chatted up and charmed the whole room, but given the right circumstances, any of them could do it. In smaller groups JK is very loveable and he can be shyly physically goofy while oozing talent and wild energy, Yoongi's quiet humor would draw in absolutely everyone wanting to know more (the tsundere title for him is appropriate), Jin - if he is comfortable with you is so funny with his self-deprecating humor mixed with dad jokes just makes you want to spend more time with him to gain his focus, Jimin so naturally wants to make everyone around him comfortable and comforted that it must feel like a safe place to be while also having sparkles of mischief and J-hope is so naturally open that like one of you said, you feel safe because he expresses his happiness and acceptance of everything.
I think it's a hard question because we so rarely think of them in the context of picking up a romantic partner. Tae is a smooth talker so I do think it's him too.

Max you said something very intriguing about the fact that it might be easier for guys to be close and more touchy when you don't consider homosexuality as a possibility. If it can't be that, then anything can only be interpreted as just a very close friendship, and that makes a big difference in the way guys can express their affection without checking themselves in fear of being called gay. Very interesting point.

Yeah, this is a thing. There's a homophobia curve - if gayness is considered impossible OR completely accepted, affection between same-gender people isn't loaded. In between, it's suspect.

I guess K-pop idols are probably more self-conscious now since International fans love to turn every little interaction into a ship. It would be sad if it stopped them from freely interacting the way they would want to :/

Some idols *are* gay, that's just reality, but they're within a society that isn't very accepting so it's not like they can easily be open about that. The ones who are open face a lot of challenges. Shippers are generally fetishizing which is gross, but people angry about it are often coming from a super homophobic place, which is also gross. How DARE you imply that he's LIKE THAT sort of thing. I hate both halves of that conflict.
I would like to be able to accept that we don't know if people are gay OR straight until they've told us, and just enjoy the parts of their lives they choose to share. As a gay guy, I can enjoy the intimacy in these relationships, and relate to it, without needing to know if they're romantic when the cameras are off.
I'd also love it if people would appreciate their favorite idols as people... so when they date we could cheer them on and celebrate with them. I want them to be happy.
Korea is going through a super rapid shift in attitudes towards gayness right now - we can see it in a lot of their popular culture. It's reminding me of the US in the late 90s/early 2000s. If you watch the recent gay dating show, the experiences of men in their 30s, late 20s, and early 20s with coming out are drastically different. It looks really familiar to me because I lived through it here. It's far from perfect now, but I came out in the 1990s and it was hell. I didn't expect to survive to see my 30s. Glad I was wrong. 💜
I hope that they don't land in a place where straight men can't be affectionate for fear of being seen as gay. But I also hope Korean gay people don't have to hide anymore.
I've loved watching some of the younger idols challenge cultural assumptions. TXT Yeonjun is a great example - he's openly affectionate with men, even calling his close male friends romantic endearments, and seems completely unconcerned about what people might think about that. It's not about his identity, it's about his comfort with people's assumptions. "If you act this way, people might think you're gay" is being answered with a shrug. I have absolutely no guess about his sexual identity because he's clearly comfortable with whatever it is. It's delightful 💜
He's far from the only one, just one good example. And MOA seems pretty non-toxic about these things overall. He flirts with girls, he flirts with guys, MOA teases him about both. 🤣 It gives me hope.

The boys say that all the time. RM said that almost verbatim in Burn the Stage. Hobi is just comfortable to be around and puts people at ease. Also, I don't know if you've ever picked up on this (you might have) but when people are talking, even RUN producers, Hobi is constantly making sounds of affirmation. Like 'yep, okay, uh-huh," to make sure they know they've been acknowledged. Very validating person. That's part of the sunshine of him, right? He has his own gravity.

To answer Hilary's question of will they ever get back together? After Max said that they are currently on hiatus due to the military-- well, they just renewed their contract 2 years early to make sure they will stay together beyond 2025. And yes, ALL SEVEN members signed (even Jin and Jhope), it was allowed since technically the contract will not be profitable until 2025 meaning, they did not break any rules in the military (where it prohibits working military personnel to partake in any activities that would bring them profit or payment )

To me Jimin has the most Rizz, as he can mesmerize all genders (making straight men question their sexuality) and he flirts with literally every one. All the members love him and seek him out for comfort, bringing up their mood and the best hugs. He just always draws people in, as the saying goes "once you Jim-in, you can't Jim-out".

As for the rizz, V definitely has it the most in my opinion, he is the social butterfly and doesn't leave a place without having at least one new friend, the boys always make sure to be really nice to those around them but Tae actually takes initiatives to start up the convo like he did with lady gaga in the Grammys or even with Jon Batiste after it, even in the latest shows he did in his solo album promotion he came out with two additions to his 95s line friends and a couple of new people from his tiny desk band
"What motivates him? He likes making people happy."
That's so on point Max. And that's also why I love Jin so much, and so many more reasons actually. But it's just one of the most important.

My thoughts as I watched your reaction:
- I love your friend.
- They have all signed new contracts, so YES they will all come back together. Even without the contracts, they have all said they can't wait for 2025 so they can be back together and performing as a group.
- V literally has a song called "Inner Child." Also, his hand shaking when the food arrived? That was sign language for applause. He does that sometimes. :-) He is more reserved these days, AND this was taped during a time when he was (and all the guys were) really struggling with the destruction of their plans for 2020-2021 (huge worldwide concert tour followed by the solo projects and military service they're doing now, but one to two years after they originally planned to do it all), due to COVID. He was burnt out and disappointed, and more subdued than he had been in the years prior - so a combination of maturing and being a bit down, I think. He was very different even 2 years earlier than this. Even so, you see flashes of his fun...and a LOT of his "inner child" and humility (when he hit the cameraperson with the tennis ball).
- "Run BTS" (and everything else BTS) went a long way towards getting me through the pandemic, living alone and working from home for the first time ever.
- Jin told RM that he likes to make other people happy, because in turn it makes him happy. He said it was "selfish" (but we all know it isn't).
- j-hope and V are my biases, but j-hope snuck up on me more. He can be zany, but he is also very ambitious professionally, very caring towards the other members (they depend on him a lot and say that he's a bit like the mother of the team, to RM's “dad”), and a deep thinker in ways that aren't always obvious (unlike SUGA and RM, who have more of that reputation, I think).
When you guys were talking about the queer community in Korea and how it’s conservative in that way it makes me even more proud of bts for being so openly supportive of the community and never being afraid to act the way they want. They’ve been judged for years for being too “feminine” especially jimin and I think that makes them even greater. They truly are (to a certain point) changing toxic masculinity 💜 they aren’t afraid to show their true love for eachother, even suga he can be seen as cold but when he gets affection from the members I never see him getting actually upset about it and he’s said himself that people see him as cold but he’s actually a soft guy that gets excited over little things like dogs and cats. I think they all equally love eachother but it hits when you see yoongi showing affection and admiration for his brothers and he has such a deep love for each one of them. They are so lovely :) also I recommend you show her the next ep of run bts (ep 117) it is so fun and yoongi is super bubbly and endearing in that one

"Run BTS can cure depression." This is literally how I began my journey as ARMY. I was so depressed, but I found these guys and this show particularly, and I laughed and laughed and laughed. I swear it turned on my ability to feel again. It changed so much so quickly I literally had headaches from it. But I got up and moving, and healed so much. I lost 40 pounds the first year I knew BTS. That's the power of authentic love and happiness. I will be forever grateful to them. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
it's very fascinating to see people discover V's personality 🤣☝️ the way she was so shocked when you said V has the most rizz and kudos to you Max you know these guys so well now, but ofcourse you're better at reading people then me(us) lol. But anyways... It's funny how everyone thinks they got the grasp of what is V's personality really is he's gonna surprise you. He looks so deadass serious sometimes, sometimes so playfull, sometimes so quiet and sometimes loud as hell. Some may say he's shy but he literally is the biggest social butterfly. V is definitely the social butterfly of the group, and Jin, in large settings will make a point to drawl individuals into the group, and not be left out. Funny because Jin is such an introvert. And besides Jin, I feel like the funniest - within the group, is Jungkook. But being a huge introvert, take Jungkook out of his group, he is more socially withdrawn. They are so different in their group, take them out, and you see completely different social interactions. But put. Them on stage, and they all become beasts! Funny to watch their personalities, like at Jhope’s album release party, Jin sat in a corner by PD Bang, and played a game on his phone, until he felt it was acceptable to leave the party. Jk, was subdued, not really mingling, until hee danced with jhope, and Tae. Then he was laughing, and comfortable. Suga didn’t even go to the party, and RM was the perfect party person, mingling with everybody. But he knew so many artists in the industry, so he was very comfortable. Ok, I’ve rambled enough. Hillary, you are great! You picked up on so much. Please do more vids with Max…. Lots more!❤💜💜💜💜💜

I hope you did tell your friend that these guys live together, eat and room together, in addition to every bit of work they do together - 10 - 12 hours a day of practice, tours and performing, singing, everything you can imagine. There are few moments of privacy, either they are with each other, or staff or a camera is on. Even on vacation (bon voyage or in the shop) they are filmed, although staff does edit heavily for public consumption.
They have a magical chemistry, but some of it came about when they were trainees (and living in one room) ages 13-18 and like siblings who just squabble. They say that when you fight, you make up, and that makes you closer.
One thing I appreciate out of Run BTS is that this is mentally healthy for THEM. My heart went out to Jungkook when he was about 16, they were headed in the direction of the zoo, and he was so excited he might see a tiger. They never, ever, let up working, so every outing or episode was a very necessary opportunity for them to play, to bond not only through work and living, but actually play. They know each other so well they can read each other's minds, they are their own family.
17:21 BTS CURED MY DEPRESSION! I became depressed as a young kid and it was a continuous struggle. 2017-2019 was the hardest season. But then, a friend introduced me to BTS. I liked them immediately and was blown away by their skills but had to shelf BTS to deal with life. One year later, in January of 2020 I remembered them and decided to dive in. Lockdown was the perfect opportunity to become completely immersed, and I don't even want to consider how things could have turned out without them. I've watched all Run BTS! episodes three times or more and I'm happy to be alive!!!

i watched and learned from two very articulate persons for 30+minutes straight. I've gotten some of the worst news of my life while watching run bts, like so bad that i didn't know how to react other than just going back to continue watching. it helped me avoid the overwhelming things and take time to process it slowly? if that makes sense. And just in general, it's a safe place i can go to when everything else is going to shit.
32:20 that hand gesture actually meaning "clapping" in sign language. V has been seen using sign language a lot, he's very naturally considerate and warm like that.

The 4th thing I ever saw of BTS when I went to TH-cam to hear more of their music (after first being completely blown away by their performance on Saturday Night Live) was an episode of Run BTS. There I was, sitting on the couch laughing my head off, and I knew nothing about them at that point. Their humor and the way they interact with each clinched it for me, on top of so much talent. During the pandemic I was working from home from 8am to 3:30am sometimes 7 days a week. I was so stressed out, exhausted and alone that if I hadn’t allowed myself to watch some of their music and an episode of Run BTS before going to sleep, I don’t think I would have made it through that terrible time for so many of us.

The hand gesture he does at the food is the sign language for clapping hands. He goes to clap his hands but stops mid way signs it instead. I've noticed this many times. The most notable one is during his farewell 2020 speech.
The lack of toxic masculinity is what really hooked me... I often find myself looking for examples of healthy, wholesome masculinity, of men who can be loving and vulnerable. BTS gave me so much of that...
Some of it is Korean culture, and some of it is just BTS. It's ridiculously wholesome though. And to my American eyes, it was incredibly striking at first. Men who hug each other, men who cry, men who tease each other gently and cheer each other on with real enthusiasm.
It's not like there are no men here who are like that - I am! I know lots of guys who are! - but it's not what's expected of us. I know so many men who are lonely AF, feel like they don't know how to make friends, struggle for connection.

When my monthly comes, my pain cramps are so bad that I can’t even sleep, eat, or focus but when I put like on a bts concert, run bts, in the soop, etc. my pain like goes away and doesn’t return until that video is over. it’s like for that short moment I can breathe and smile without feeling frustrated or having to fake an act. They really do bring happiness, even through the shows and lives they do, they can feel the love, energy they have for army, themselves and life in general. I appreciate them for being a light. 💜

You should show her their last episode of run BTS. That was a special episode where they played like a bunch of little games and it was kind of like a little mini Olympics for them because the soccer game is probably one of the best filmed things for run BTS, besides the water episodes, that I have ever seen! We love our 7!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 And they all signed contracts again for the next 7 years, so we will definitely have them back together as a group! I'm not sure if you've watched any of sugar's talk shows with The BTS members, but I think you would find that really fascinating! Also they all miss each other. You hear it in every interview they have recently and any press work they have, and also in their Weaver's lives for they go on and talk to all army/ fans. There's so much as you know. Max! BTS is a definite rabbit hole!

I think RunBTS still exists because BTS wants to film it for army, I don’t think this is in their contract tbh. And yeah, 100% one way or another BTS will come back, all 7 of them signed a new contract with their agency! 👏💜

in the beginning you talk about the trust and good relationship these 7 must have to be able to goof around so openly. I would add that a big part is that they also have this good relationship with the staff that is filming and in the room with them! Being in front of the camera, that is a big factor, I think
