Sanding generates heat, and the pvc pipe may flex, when sanding large pieces. (if you pressure the object too much) Its better to be patient and take just little by little😉 Thanks for sharing
Thanks, hasn't been a problem though yet. The board took me 20 minutes or so, taking off quite a lot. What did happen is that the drum spins on the axis when there's too much load...
Awesome!! Do you plan to upgrade it to add a belt to move it through? Or will you continue with manually doing it like you did in this video? Would you say this is a significant upgrade over a belt sander?
It's a significant upgrade, a belt sander, even with one of those plates, is still not as good at removing a lot of material this planely. It really takes a while though, the full board took me 20 minutes.
@@HaWiWe Awesome, thanks for the info! I've been keen for awhile to build myself one, mainly because I don't have space for a full sized one, but a small desktop one like you build could fit and be packed away when needed! Any chance you'll sell the CNC files at some point?
@@guitarboy2828 I actually think the files are on my website. If not, I will add them. All of my plans are free. The riser is a bit wobbly though, fair warning! The dust collection works great.
Oh shit. Mit den langen Haaren so dicht an der Welle. Wenn man solche Videos zum Nachbauen dreht, bitte auch auf Gefahrenquellen hinweisen und als Vorbild die Haare zusammen binden.
Nice tight fit on your dust collection box tabs! Great job.
Thank you!

I am also going to leave it like that, it's working okay. I just need something to hold smaller workpieces, like the coasters.

@@HaWiWe Oh awesome! I did look on your website, obviously not hard enough. I'll take another look! Thank you!

Habe gerade wieder ein Zopfgummi rausgesucht, danke für den Hinweis! Muss da wirklich dran denken.
