I still play suspended objects 5 daily, just doesn't get old, you guys are so far off the every day mainstream sound, it is what makes it so special and refreshing. I can just image how crazy this would sound live on some big system at a venue.

It’s really encouraging to know that you like Suspended Objects 05 so much you revisit it! Your words mean a lot to us. Our live shows do sound very rich & embracing! We played part of 05 on our last gig & the stage was rumbling with the sound frequencies 🔥 We might play it fully soon as we are doing an intimate gig in July ☺️ Hoping the walls don’t collapse lol (PS: this video also proves that we don’t need the PF3 filter but it is a nice addition)
@@amsin_amsin_amsin with the PF3 filter you had that secondary white noise generation, was nice for Objects 05. Objects 06 is really growing on me and your right, I guess less gear is always better, might even give more creativity being constrained. Then again Solar 42 is a beast, constrained is a bad word for description. If AM sin is ever planning a gig in Toronto Canada please let me know, I will buy tickets right away.
It’s nice to change things up regardless! We still have so much to explore with the gear we have. We never know what is going to come out in each session as we perform by improvisation - it somehow surprises us each time. We planned using the Microcosm pedal on this one but that failed so we had to start with the simplest & it made so much sense. Playing live gigs is our favourite thing, so hopefully Toronto will be a stop on our list. You would be the first to know.
Definitely not a synth for everyone but composing on it is rather different from everything else in the market. It did take us a few months until we got ours but it was a great decision to switch ~ had a LYRA-8 before :)
Thanks for the sub, Lesja! We don’t actually own a Modmix, but it feels like it’s written in the stars. The last time we were in Berlin, we had a blast experimenting with it at Schneidersladen. That patch was the only thing we could think of with little time & resources - the mixer's got so much potential. We were excited to meet the Finegear team yesterday at Machina Bristronica, but they couldn’t make it to the UK, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to get our hands on it again. Hopefully, we’ll have better luck with patching next time, or we might just take the plunge since it seems like the perfect addition to our setup! For now, we’re focusing on something else at the top of our list 🔥

What version software is your Solar 42 running?

We still have the original firmware that came with it (V01.1). They have a new version but been too lazy to update it :p
