i remember using the renishaw functions on a mzak, exact same interface. Also, you had to push multiple times to get the "single Cycle". It's nice to know it's something that didn't only happen to me XD

Hmm, interesting. I know you bought an Adaptix from Norgren Workholding but I see typical softjaws in the video. Did something not work out?

      Been wondering about that myself

Use G56HA so you don't get mixed up with hight numbers and it doesn't limit you to 300 offsets, you can use up to eight digit tool numbers, in my case I use the first digit for tool type followed by diameter in decimal, like tool 10125 is 1/8” drill, 20250 is a 1/4-20 tap.

I don’t do it because my post isn’t set up that way.

@@NerdlyCNC I edited the fusion post. You can still use it when hand typing in MDI, HA is the same as T12 H12

That's a lot of menus and button clicks to set zero vs a Haimer. What are some big advantages to a probe that would win over a Haimer and would you recommend one for someone doing lots of prototyping and one offs?

What does the inside of the tool changer door look like
Need to see if mine is missing sensors

1st off I love this content, as a new 560 s/u operator, I wanted to know how close to the center of the part for accuracy do you need to be so the Renishaw probe doesn't miss the edge and damage it ?

Why did you have to define the tool length offset in mdi when you commanded that z move? I'm not used to that on Mazak, if you command a g90g00g54x1.0 it automatically takes into account the tool length offset that is in the spindle. You don't have to remind the machine...🤔

I like the physical button layout etc but the software looks like a lot of fiddling compared to a Heidenhain control.

What ever happened to your m460 5 axis? Also, how do you run full rapid and tool change without shutting the door?

Thanks for video. Going to be a new mv560 user. Is G116 what Okuma uses instead of M6 for a tool change?

    • @kristianjensen5870
      @kristianjensen5870 ปีที่แล้ว

No. It is a macro that handles diffrent next tool issue. You can use M6 also.

    Great vid Jason 👍
Thanks for taking the extra time to shoot and edit these vids
BTW…. I notice that the tool setter on the LH side of the table, has the sensor part ‘outboard’. Most setups I see on vids have the tool setter sensor swung around so it’s ‘inboard’. Any special reason for your set up?
    Regards,
    Robert

Looks like a brand new machine that's never made any or many chips. Likely just an oversight on the tool touch probe setup. I have mine so its inboard and I've cut the post down so its much shorter and closer to the tops of my vises.
