I was able to utilize their November rent day transfer bonus to British Airways and I was able to book a flight that was operated by Qatar Airways for half of the points so instead of using 37k points, I only booked from Doha to the US for 18500 points. Crazy!
I think it's too late to recommend this. We know Bilt will get dumped by WF by 2029 at latest. More likely, the recent letter mentioning a "Bilt 2.0" card makes it sound like WF is looking for early termination and will dump the card SOON. If so, we are due for nerfs very soon and that would cripple a card with no SUB that you get intending to reap long term gains from. Maybe two years ago this card would've been king, but I'm guessing we'll only have a year, maybe months at best, before this card takes a crippling blow.
This card has already started crippling. Major changes made last few months and many airlines are not transferrable now. I recommend people to research on internet before applying. This card is not worth recommending and I know this guy gets big commission for referrals and hence made this youtube video
Hey i am a new person to credit cards ive been using my discover card for 4 months with very good practices but i dont have my fico score available as itll take 6 months to get one. But my credit karma score is like 720 do i apply for bilt i don't have any hard pulls? Or will i surely get rejected? When should i apply and is there a way to improve approval chances?
@MukhilPeak Discover was also my first card. I got chase freedom flex 2 months later, but my checking and savings account was with Chase. as you don't have any financial relationship with Wells Fargo, I would wait 2 more months before applying for Bilt.
@@MukhilPeakI was new to credit cards too, I had like a 730 when I got approved this July. You may likely be approved, esp with few/no hard credit pulls (I had 6).
Been in the market and was deciding on a card to apply for next month. This video sold me on it (+ I pay rent every month anyways + travel so why not?). Just got accepted. Will update if notice anything noteworthy.
I am 4 months into credit cards, i dont have a fico score because it take 6 months to generate one. My credit karma score is 720 tho and I am hoping to get bilt card but im sure they will deny me. Could u maybe share me ur credit score and when u were approved. If some one in a similar situation as me got it before getting their fico (before first 6months) that will be so cool
Please help! I have Amex points as well as chase points. I found great flights on American airways for 40k miles from Doha to Japan (different airports) in July. I tried booking through British and Qatar and they want significantly more points for the same flights. How do I get around that. Also we need 6 seats p
My strategy is to use the Bilt for rent and food and transferring it to Alaska Airlines and I also got the Alaska Airlines card to get 50k miles. (I don't fly Alaska but they can redeem for American Airlines flights)
Hi John, great video about the Bilt card. Question; do the points expire at the end of each year? Also, if you transfer your points to a transfer partner do the points expire or can save them until you your ready to use them if it’s two years later?
Hey Ken - Great questions, the Bilt points kept as Bilt points do not expire ever. However if you transfer the points to a partner then their expiration policy changes to whatever the policy is of that particualr partner. Some partners have points that have an expiration dates, some don't. My advice is to confirm the expiration policy of a partner before you move points. But always safe to save them as Bilt points!
My daughter is renting a room from a friend of mine and I am paying her rent monthly. My question is if bilt cuts a check for me to pay my friend rent, will bilt send my friend any forms by the end of the year that my friend is mandated to report it as income tax? Thanks
lets be real here, having to keep track of using this card 5 times a month to activate all these useful benefits is off-putting. no sign up bonus is damaging as well since $200 (can find some for $300 on free credit cards) sign up bonus on other cards is much more important than 1% on rent. I currently pay $1600 in rent, 1% on that is $16/or 16 points. I would have to use this card 5 times a month AND pay rent with it for ~13 months to break even from a sign on bonus card. Thats not accounting for ditching other trifecta's or cards that pool points from different category-spend to get free flights/hotels. 100% point match on rent day is kinda sweet ngl. Thanks for the video nonetheless.
Hi yall, i got the card 2 months ago and I am earning a ton pf points. I am planning to accumulate them rather than spend it. The points will not be gone in any point of time right?
Hi John, I’m interested in getting this card, but I’d like to avoid another hard inquiry on my Experian report. Could you let me know which credit bureau it pulls from?
The Bilt card is still so wild to me, i don't get how they make money, it seems almost entirely in the consumer's favor lol. Which is great, i just feel like there's a catch somewhere.
The CEO released a pretty cool email and some infographics on how they make money. Partly like a traditional credit card and partly through the partners that pay to be on the platform etc
John, this video is a treasure trove of tips for maximizing the Amex Gold card! For anyone debating the card, your breakdown of the transfer bonuses and purchase protection really highlights its value.
I am waiting for him to mention about mortgage payments for 2025 but he never did.😂
it's been teased from Bilt that something is coming to mortgages in 2025, but I don't want to get ahead of myself yet!
@@johnsfinancetipsI thought it was confirmed in the email they sent out about next year?
Hopefully one day you'll be able to pay your mortgage with the card. That would be legendary.
You'll here it here first when that happens! Just as a heads up it's a feature we're expecting in 2025!
Gotta say I agree, it's a solid overall card. I don't even pay rent and have gotten a lot of value from it.
I pay my rent and I buy 5 items at the 99cent store separately I m done !
It's one of my favorite cards - it has given me so much value
Thank you so much. I’ve been waiting for this video
love my Bilt card and still shocked how it doesn't have an annual fee. Kind of sounds like they are teasing for 2025 maybe some tiers of other cards
My Apartment uses Bilt with out using the Bilt card the processing fee is 9.99 with any other card 4:07

I’ve gotten thousands of dollars of value from this card, and I’ve only put maybe $1000 of spend on it this year besides rent.
