There's a saying it Britain... that they are 'cutting off their nose, to spite their face'. Voting down the people that feed them and provide them with security. Wenn die Länder sehr bekannte Stars schicken, endet das fast immer auf den letzten Plätzen (zB. Bonnie Tyler für England oder auch Cascada für Deutschland). Ganz vorn liegen immer die Newcomer. Deshalb keine schlechte Wahl.

As a German, I try to analyze why 2019 was another bad year for us. It had no soul, no authenticity, and was interchangeable and forgettable. It didn't touch people. I don't necessarily blame the girls for this, they did the best they could I think. The German broadcaster and their organizers did a terrible job putting this thing together. I dare to say that I have a good visual sense for music and what could work, but I couldn't think of a good way to present the song on stage because the song simply wasn't strong enough. It wasn't even a hit in Germany. In fact, it was the first entry that didn't enter the German charts since 2003. Personally, I haven't heard the song on the radio once. So how do you expect a song to be big in Europe if it's not even a success in your own country?

Is either really good or really bad result. But for me Natalie was underrated as hell. 2014: another underrated entry from Germany 2015: this is actually 0 points. Second last 2018: top 4-look like you likely had stepped your game again back on track 2019: really? Is that a joke? Another second last with 0 points from the public? Are you serious Germany? In conclusion your ESC track in the last decade was like you start it at the top then you land at the bottom at the end

I guess the European audience couldn't relate to the Decora Kei style. The dark haired girl from Sisters was actually a backup singer for Lena, and since I love Lena, I've also seen her live in concert and she can actually sing really good and so can her real sister Jenniffer Kae. The blonde girl was pretty weird. Look at what's going on after they finished the song. You just want to tell her "I know you're excited, but Jesus, calm down, you didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize" 😁.
@ Alec Copile I think it is a good song with a good message which is on the other hand not overdone already and it is done in a clever way (singing it as such a dialogue). What I didn't like was the fact that they and especially the blonde one didn't sing very well (and the problem is that with the esc there are always really awesome singers). And the performance. Same here, Germany almost never creates a creative stage setting. (Wonder why the set up was changed because in the national competition where they were voted it was a bit better I think). And the girls were not really within the performance and in the song (greeting the crowd and so on). I mostly feel that Germany doesn't put effort in this. These two aspects are the main problems I think. (I'm from Germany).

Ich finde Deutschland sollte einfach weniger in die esc Kasse einzahlen und lieber beim Halbfinale um den Einzug ins Finale kämpfen müssen. I saw a shortcut from that performance and couldn't understand, why it's 0 points. So I decided to watch all performance...and I still can't understand why it's 0 points. Maybe it's not the best performance ever, but it's not the worse and it deserves much more points. That song is catchy and girls are lovely. Totally underrated.
To the Germans: I still listen to this time to time and it brings me joy and excitement. Really one of my favorites in Eurovision history. Yes, they somehow look a bit amateur but the singers did quite well in the middle of such an audience. Love from Türkiye!

Was busy traveling at the time, so didn't see the show. After all the memes of Germany being last with 0 points, I searched up the song. I expected some garbage, but it was ok.
Let's be honest if it was a song from Serbia, it would receive at least 40 points from viewers through the countries of former Yugoslavia, Austria and Switzerland
But we will not ever sing on english. We did it only once. And it was biggest mistake ever made. If they sing this on german they would be much better. Yes Serbia get votes from neighbour countries. And Germany will need to think why they are not getting votes from their neighbour countries? Maybe the songs are not good enough, and maybe is some other deeper reason.

I am German and there is no reason why this entry shoulnd't be annihilated in the finale. Germany should reduce the funding for ESC to the same amount as everyone else and start earning its ways to the finale through the semi-finals instead. This way such humiliation won't happen (nobody cares about somebody not getting through semi-finals).

This entry earned the most undeserved "0 Points" of all time. But I get it since, if we were to compare the staging Germany decided to use in Tel Avil with the one of their National Final, their NF was 100x times better. But still, this entry belongs in my top-5 of the 2019 contest and it was absolutely heart-braking seeing those 0 televote points showing up in the board.
That's a guilty pleasure of mine, i must say. But the staging is soooooooooooooooo bad. It literally has nothing but two girls screaming at each other. Also, I think they have zero synergy that makes it look so damn fake. With all being said, I love it. lol

As a German, I try to analyze why 2019 was another bad year for us. It had no soul, no authenticity, and was interchangeable and forgettable. It didn't touch people. I don't necessarily blame the girls for this, they did the best they could I think. The German broadcaster and their organizers did a terrible job putting this thing together. I dare to say that I have a good visual sense for music and what could work, but I couldn't think of a good way to present the song on stage because the song simply wasn't strong enough. It wasn't even a hit in Germany. In fact, it was the first entry that didn't enter the German charts since 2003. Personally, I haven't heard the song on the radio once. So how do you expect a song to be big in Europe if it's not even a success in your own country?
Well sir let me analyze your country's Eurovision track in the last decade(2010-2019) shall we:
2010: Germany won the contest-your best result in the last decade
2011:Top 10-although i think Germany should have won that year more than 2010
2012: Top 8-good song but quite simple
2013: the fact that you guy sent your famous pop star to the contest is alwaya a risk. Is either really good or really bad result. But for me Natalie was underrated as hell.
2014: another underrated entry from Germany
2015: this is actually 0 points. Deserved its last place
2016: This is Eurovion not Asiavision. Another last place
2017: no comments about this one. Second last
2018: top 4-look like you likely had stepped your game again back on track
2019: really? Is that a joke? Another second last with 0 points from the public? Are you serious Germany?
In conclusion your ESC track in the last decade was like you start it at the top then you land at the bottom at the end

I guess the European audience couldn't relate to the Decora Kei style. The dark haired girl from Sisters was actually a backup singer for Lena, and since I love Lena, I've also seen her live in concert and she can actually sing really good and so can her real sister Jenniffer Kae. The blonde girl was pretty weird. Look at what's going on after they finished the song. You just want to tell her "I know you're excited, but Jesus, calm down, you didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize" 😁.

@ Alec Copile I think it is a good song with a good message which is on the other hand not overdone already and it is done in a clever way (singing it as such a dialogue). What I didn't like was the fact that they and especially the blonde one didn't sing very well (and the problem is that with the esc there are always really awesome singers).
And the performance. Same here, Germany almost never creates a creative stage setting. (Wonder why the set up was changed because in the national competition where they were voted it was a bit better I think).
And the girls were not really within the performance and in the song (greeting the crowd and so on).
I mostly feel that Germany doesn't put effort in this.
These two aspects are the main problems I think. (I'm from Germany).

I am German and there is no reason why this entry shoulnd't be annihilated in the finale. Germany should reduce the funding for ESC to the same amount as everyone else and start earning its ways to the finale through the semi-finals instead. This way such humiliation won't happen (nobody cares about somebody not getting through semi-finals).

This entry earned the most undeserved "0 Points" of all time. But I get it since, if we were to compare the staging Germany decided to use in Tel Avil with the one of their National Final, their NF was 100x times better. But still, this entry belongs in my top-5 of the 2019 contest and it was absolutely heart-braking seeing those 0 televote points showing up in the board.

Yes it did. All this sympathy doesn't change the fact that it was an odd, off timing, bland song. Uk was boring but this was bad.

the staging is one of the crappiest I've seen..don't know if better or worse than Albania 2016.
That's a guilty pleasure of mine, i must say. But the staging is soooooooooooooooo bad. It literally has nothing but two girls screaming at each other. Also, I think they have zero synergy that makes it look so damn fake. With all being said, I love it. lol
