Growl, for example, is a song that requires hard and smooth dancing styles. They transition from hard to smooth and slow to fast in a clean way. In a way, these dances were built and made for EXO and EXO themselves. I have yet to see someone dance EXO songs like EXO does. BUT! I'm so excited to see these rookies debut! THEY'RE ALL SO CUTE!
I found this today, the boys are all grown up now, jisung is one of the tallest in nct, mark graduated (I miss seeing him with dreamies too..), chenle and renjun are part of dream, all the dreamies are adults (in kr age), and mark and donghyuck are having their comeback soon in 127, it’s crazy to see how they grew over the years😭

Their performance seems to have a bit more power than EXO for several reasons. *Number 1*: They don't have to sing at the same time. *Number 2*: They don't have the same performing schedule that EXO had. EXO had to perform several days in a row at different broadcasting stations, so they had to preserve some energy for the next day. *Number 3*: If EXO performed too hard, they might injure themselves and injuries won't help at all. It was best for EXO to give a more laid back performance to prevent issues and to have a better vocal performance. There is really no need to defend EXO or SMROOKIES, since EXO had to put more power into vocals and SMROOKIES could focus on dancing. That is all~

in my opinion, one of the reasons why their dance looked better is because all of them have similar dancing skills compared to exo which is dominated by kai. that's why the dance looks so clean. whereas in exo, their dance looks less in sync especially the details. i participated in group dance competitions that's why i know what makes a group dance look nice. and fyi I'm a huge exo fan my wall is literally filled with their posters so I'm not being "biased" ok lol 😂
