Do you really want to trust and *The Grubbster* healing you though? Lol jk. But i love how hardcore made people show more respect for wow.. back in the vanilla days.. you get a green and your like "wow! Nice!" NOW it's like "siick!! What's the name of this item, how can I gain from it.. do I know anyone who needs this? I should remember where this dropped for the data cataloging... 😂.. it makes this game hard-core! Not just about staying alive.
That's the cool thing about druid for him. He experienced dungeons from Rdps, now he could experience the game as a healer or tank. Dual spec makes it easy
One of the best things of cat form is being able to run 30% faster on outdoors at lvl 22 with talents, besides the huge advantage stealth gives you. Once you hit 40 and learn Innervate, you will never have to rest again, non stop grinding and farming. Shame the Night Elfs got the cooler looking cat form, oh well, our bear has horns so there's that!
Don´t listen non druid haters who say rip is bad ability - they play weird classes like rogue or warrior. Rip does scale & it is good ability against elites/targets with lot of hp. Against normal mobs it has no time to be effective since they usually die before it runs out
It is important to note, that any other polymorph effects can be countered with shape changes. Because druids are shape changers, they can use shape shifting while sheeped or hexed as an example. This is really useful on the rare occasions you encounter enemies with polymorph spells, regardless of your specc. It also means that druids dump hard on mages :D
good thinking from him to try a new class, it feels so fun the first time you try a new class in Vanilla/BC/WOTLK because classes were so different, every class or even spec can do a lot of things that others absolutely can't
When I was in Silverpine at lvl 18, I randomly saved some guy who got snuck up on by Son of Arugal with entangle, so lucky it didn't get resisted and aggro'd onto me, it indeed was an awesome time to be a druid protector. You are the protector! Druids FTW!
Druid is fun but coming from a mage you need to understand the dps is very low and changing form EATS mana. Might be worth moving into omen talents at 30ish, although does limit feral talents and dps such as crit, the reduced mana cost of shapeshifting is helpful and omen procs make up for the feral talent loss. Also you get travel form so you dont need the cat movenent speed bonus. Anyway so glad to see youre going agen in such high spirits mate! Love watching your journey. Only question is does Grubby go tank spec or resto 🐻 / 🍃
He was born to be a healer and I spy he’ll discover that soon. We know his peripheral vision is stupidly good from WC3 so he won’t have any issues tracking health bars and being aware of his surroundings at the same time. Healer arc incoming I’m calling it now!
You would lose too much damage and stats if you go for Omen too early, and mana cost while shapeshifting isn't really an issue while leveling, travel form costs much less than the main forms anyways. Cat form dps is actually pretty nice while leveling to be honest, theres definitely much worse, including undergeared warrior. /Shrug
Every druid form tries to imitate one other class (or a mesh of various classes), Grubby. Also, in appearance, none of the forms will look exactly like the animal because druids retain features of their humanoid form. For example, your cat and bear forms retains your horns, while Night Elf druids retain their long ears.
I watched Grubby get into like 4 bad pulls in Field of Giants yesterday, one almost ending him, and then going back for more. I feel like the mage brain is still deeply set in.
Now that you have offheals, you want to drag your party member frames somewhere you can see them other than far in the left corner so you can see easily if party members need heals
No what aquatic form actually does, is increase your movement speed by 50% which prevents the slow you get from being in water, so you move at 100% in water, vs in humanoid form where it sets your movement speed to 67% of max speed. This is why speed buffs like dash, cat form speed, swiftness potions and movespeed enchant do NOTHING when you are swimming. There are swim speed potions and swim speed bonus that can be found only on the Azure Silk Belt. It increases swim speed by 15% (Edited for errors) I also didn't know of the Hook of the Master Angler, which gives a fish form to whoever has it, but it's 10% slower than aquatic form. It costs no mana though, but you have to win it in booty bay during a fishing competition being the first person to turn in the 40 fish you can only fish up during the event.
Imagine cat form damage with reverse shredding... Like 3 weeks ago you could just use shred in front of the enemy, by walking into his hitbox. They stealth-fixed this while the servers were online, so it suddenly stopped working - which was frustrating. Cat was actually a GOOD leveling class at that point, now its dogshit again... xD You'll figure out on higher levels. BUT! It's honestly not bad for hardcore, because it's rather hard to die as a druid, when you're careful.
Lmao I knew he would love leveling with energy vs mana… he’s very against rogue of all the classes (likes the idea of casters/versatility), but I feel like rapidly spamming buttons vs. waiting for cast bars comes really naturally to him/he would absolutely dominate as a fury warrior or rogue. Who knows, maybe he will end up being an amazing feral Druid?
But it is really rewarding :) You can output insane amounts of single target healing while staying efficient - at least as long as you have the ZG trinket (Wooshulays something something..).
Ha, wait till you get Wolfhead Helm at 40! powershifting is the most fun vanilla playstyle imo. just forget about feral dps endgame or youll live in gnomeregan for half your time xDDD
Druid! There's travel in your future when you hit Level 40 and you get your travel form! You will never be a Rogue, Always healing and crying about your class! (c)

Seeing how much he enjoyed that first part makes me wonder if his calling is to be a Healer 🤔
Lololol

Healing random people out on the world will get him killed eventually though. Don't try to be a hero in HC
This is why I like classes with heals. Not to be a healer, but so I can when its needed. Only reason I don't like druid healing is the rez cooldown.

Welcome to druid. I also just started my druid journey in HC, currently lvl 36 and loving it. Enjoy the kitty dps
I remember when i graduated from warcraft 3 into wow. Good times.
The magic is long gone but fun to see you enjoy it 20 years later.

I think the Undercity hearth is good, Moonglade is already on Kalimdor, so you have possibilities to get to both continents without needing to travel
Bounty Hunter's Ring was a quest reward, Grubby.

Hahha I was waiting to see if anyone remembers teh greatest durid guide 😂
It's an older meme, sir, but it checks out

Druids are fun, I enjoyed playing a resto druid during Pandarea.

You can solo besseleth / shelob as a druid at lvl20 with a few potions and buffs. Whether I'd risk it on hardcore is another question though...
If you have a lot of patience you can almost kill anything with nothing but entangling roots 😂
What an honor to be saved by lord Grubby himself
Don’t misgender . Grubby is a she/hers
Now that you have offheals, you want to drag your party member frames somewhere you can see them other than far in the left corner so you can see easily if party members need heals
Isn't it so, that weapon DPS does not affect feral druid dps ?
Y
I feel like when I was levelling Druid 100 years ago, if I cast regrowth / rejuvenate during a pull I wouldn’t have enough mana to shape shift haha
23:23 level 59 Undead mage died, that must suck so much I don't know how I'd get up the next morning.

What add on is giving the elite alert?
How many hours did it take you to get to lvl 20
What is that alarm addon called?
Unitscan, also safeguard does rhe same
What is that bag addon?
looks fun as heck
Let`s go save people!
Didn’t even check the aquatic belt for the reward! :)
Great swipes!

Yesterday I saved a player on the same place! :D He was running away from Kolkar Invader which is quite frequent source of death in The Barrens
not only is the swing timer ugly to look at but it's also useless to him
might as well disable it
What hoodie you wearing here Grubby?
Grubby’s head is longer than a … (finish the sentence)

hey grubby, as a little sidenote: the dps on your weapon is irrelevant, only stats on weapon matter in animal form. so look for agi/sta and str
Grubby as healer would go hard, but druid raid healing is the hardest in classic since you have to learn every swing timer to be efficient
But it is really rewarding :) You can output insane amounts of single target healing while staying efficient - at least as long as you have the ZG trinket (Wooshulays something something..).
try an Alliance char next time, Elf or Human - the starting zones are very nice
Isn't taking a trade from a non-guild member against the rules? Will Grubby be forced to kill this toon?
