Chapter 2 Season 2 was amazing. I had no problem with it being long. The locations like the rig and the grotto were amazing. The battle pass was brilliant. The Deadpool collab was absolutely awesome. The season was the best chapter 2 season ever. It was beautiful. It made me go back to the chapter 1 days. I never had more fun in my Fortnite days. I miss you Chapter 2 Season 2, and farewell Chapter 2. You will be missed.

c2s1 was meh
c2s2 was great, kinda long but I loved playing with my friend
c2s3 was ok but there was no storyline
c2s4 was absolutely amazing and as a former mobile player, had to move to switch. best decision I ever made
c2s5 was kinda slow but the event was cool

i feel like the last couple seasons, 5 - 8, they just weren't the same. Like i feel like the colors or the hud or something just feels different from the first four season of chapter 2. i just really hope that chapter 3 is more like the beginning of chapter 2.
The locations of season 6 were good, but they all removed the cool map additions the others gave, not good.
All of the seasons changed that same map location and the middle island, changed the grass and thought it was cool.
In my opinion, the problems with chapter 2 were:
1. Lack of updates: During chapter 1, we got frequent updates, weapons and new mechanics being introduced mid-season. Chapter 2 however, gave you most things at the start, and only added 1 or 2 things mid-season.
2. Map changes: With chapter 2 came map changes like the flood, desert, primal biomes and other major changes. But they were only temporary. But with chapter 1, the major map changes were kept throughout the chapter, and gave the map more variety.
3. Season durations: In chapter 1, season ran for about 10 - 12 weeks each. That was fine, but the seasons this chapter were all over the place. Some were 16 weeks, 13 and season 1 was 18 weeks! I think the best length for seasons would be 13 weeks, so long as we get more content throughout the season.

Man chapter 2 season 2 was probably one of my favorite seasons of all time behind chapter 1 season 5, it felt fresh, unique, and different with the new concept of bosses and mythic weapons added throughout the map. It felt exhilarating to defeat a boss, grab their weapon, loot the vault, and escape while evading other players and made me feel like I was in an action movie. On top of that the tsunami storm at the end of the season was something that we never seen before and changed the way the regular storm worked completely. That was one of the only seasons that I felt had a similar spark to what we would feel in chapter 1.
You could tell with the music as well they put a lot of effort into the theme to make it distinctive
The only chapter 2 season I somewhat liked was season 3.

Imagine how great this map would be if they kept Stark Industries, Salty Towers, The Grotto and The Agency.

The Agency was at the middle, where the zero point was located, so that’s why it changed. Stark Industries would’ve made it very difficult for rotations like from steamy to center. However I do agree on The Grotto and Salty Towers. I also want Ghost House, The Fortilla and Butter Barn back too
They probably couldn't keep Stark Industries because copyright and collabs and stuff like that. All the marvel stuff HAD to go by the end of season 4. And the centre of the map is always changing so anything on it probably couldn't stay. Plus, what would they do with the Agency if they kept it for more seasons? They'd keep changing it with the season, maybe a sandy agency in season 5, a primal one in season 6, and a destroyed and derelict one in season 7 and 8.
Also, the grotto is currently receding the water. It'll probably be done by the end of this season or next season (if we assume we get season 9 next)
Stark industries was the best yeah many people landed there but if it stayed there people would’ve started landing lazy or salty

I just realized that the last season of this chapter and chapter 1 both had mechs in them at some point.... I can't believe chapter is over already
A lack of new content is not what makes a season underwhelming in my opinion. Chapter 2 season 2 was one of the best seasons ever. A few reasons why I think this: how all the bugs of the new mechanics were fixed, the battle pass was iconic with Midas+meowscles+Deadpool+more, the new POI’s were awesome and had mythic weapons so they never really got boring even though the season was long. I actually enjoyed that that season was long because it gave us more time to play that version of the game which was just such a solid peak version

Same. I didn’t even play that much fortnite during Chapter 2 like I did back in Chapter 1. The first seasons of Chapter 1 will forever be the best imo 💯

That's it bruh. The addition of different bioms throughout the chapters is what ch.2 was lacking. I remember when they added the volcano area. Completely messed up team liquid KEKW but what a fun addition that was. West world was also such a vibe.
Nah the thing is. The volcano didn’t bother me at all. I really enjoyed that season. But in chapter 2 with new biomes and stuff, I feel empty. It’s not exciting or fun in any way.
There was definitely additions of biomes this chapter, just that most of them got removed when the new season started

the funny thing was that Chap joked about it in a vlog by TL that epic was gonna nuke Wailing next after they added the cube near Tfue/cloak's usual drop zone
IO guards were easily one of the top things that killed this game. You play a battle Royale to battle other players, not fight Bots, IO guards, dinosaurs, and wolves for the majority of the match. Most of the time you don’t run into actual people until the final circles.
I mean, there's kinda a system to how AI filling works..

I think it was definitely bad, but I don’t agree with the game being dead , I feel like it still has a decent sized following
I feel like the thing holding chapter 2 seasons is because chapter 2 got more deep into the lore and storyline thus the map and weapons were supposed to add on and reflect on to the storyline
I'm hoping that epic chills out on the Collab's, I'm fine with a few here and there but its just to much, They need to add some original skins. Also they need to make more map changes like you said, the game is very dry with no POI changes. I also would love consistent updates like they used to do. I do think that epic has learned and i believe this next chapter will be better than this one.
I personally am almost completely against collabs because I enjoyed this game the most when collabs weren’t a thing because they came up with their own ideas
I also don’t think it makes sense cuz you have people like Superman or carnage or Thor who have superpowers but you have them running around with guns and I don’t know it don’t sit well with me

I definitely agree with the different biomes, we had arctic, desert, we had even some sort of forest with Japanese culture built into it. Chapter 2 for me felt really great but like you said, they lacked that feel with different environments, and I totally forgot about that until you said it.
I mean, technically we did get a bunch of different biomes, like the flooded, zero point desert, primal, New york city, alien, and now corrupted biomes. Just not at the same time really. I personally think that these two chapters were a sort of experiment where Chapter 1 was designed to be crazy while Chapter 2 was designed to be less crazy and more mild with a focus with quality over quantity (less live events, but way better ones in general, for example). And then see how we react to these two Chapters so that with this information, feedback and data, they can take the best of both chapters for Chapter 3

I used to always drop in Moisty Mire in Solo. I liked that I basically always got to loot that place by myself almost every time. Even; and especially, during the season where it had the movie set. When it got removed for the desert area I was sad. lol.
I honestly hope epic somehow clutches up in Chap 3 and makes the game interesting bc i think a lot of people are gonna come back to see how the new chapter is

I loved the start of Chapter 2. Seasons 12 and 13 are among my favorite seasons ever. I quit Fortnite after season 14. I played a bit in season 17 but still wasn’t into the game. I really miss Chapter 1 and early Chapter 2
i played chapter 1 s7 just too see if the game was good, didnt really like it but i still played every so often, i started hard playing chapter 2 but quit because of boredom (the delays) and came back at season 18, i stayed on the game since then till chapter 4 season 2 but recentlly came back for season 4. that was my personal career, i only shared because i enjoy reading others lol

Ch2 S7 best season in Fortnite history. Chapter 1 is carried by nostalgia merchants and s17 had all the fun items plus game modes plus event plus storyline plus that one update where you can go to the UFO and if you do well you get gold loot

I've got to add, during chapter 2 season 1- about chapter 2 season 3, the legacy aim assist was out of control which was a downfall
I have a feeling that Chapter 2 was severely damaged by the way Epic did it. Seasons 1 and 2 were I feel like epic just had to get used to the way they released updates and such. And the map barely changing might be because they weren’t sure how to go about it. I’m pretty sure that this map is somewhat larger than the OG map making it a little difficult to drop massive biome changes and such.
However I feel like Epic will have learned a valuable lesson by the time we’re in Chapter 3 and will be more comfortable with the updates they drop. So hopefully, Chapter 3 will be much better than 2

They did drop biome changes though but they removed the color after a season to keep the map from looking cluttered
The first season was super long and basically untouched with updates because we got a flipping new map and a whole bunch of new features. Epic expected that we'd take a long time to get used to it all since back in Chapter 1, we'd be raving about a new item and making videos about it for weeks! "New shockwave grenade? 30 new videos over the span of 3 weeks! New Map and stuff? Probably 10000!" - Epic Games, 2019... And then we decided to only make a single video on a new thing and then "Ran out of content".
I also have a personal (conspiracy) theory that these first two chapters were sort of experiments to see how we'd react to having a) a chaotic, content packed, "Spicy" Chapter and then b) a more calm, organized and less crazy, "Mild" chapter, then with that information, data, and feedback, they can get the best of both chapters for chapter 3. That's my idea anyways.
Either way, even if the next season/ chapter isn't as good as we think it would be, atleast make sure your feedback is known and clear, your feedback won't do any good if it's just incoherent screaming about how bad this new chapter/ season is with no explanation why.
sadly covid had given the chapter a bad start plus i remember the team took off like 2 weeks for black lives matter so the first two seasons kinda just became wayyy too long due to a number of things.
The ONLY reason why my friends and I still play is the introduction of the reboot van and revive mechanics. Otherwise, it was someone died, restart, someone died, restart. C2S4 with the marvel was by far my favorite, so many unique abilities, fan favorite skins, and me saving wolverine is coming at us. C2S2 second favorite, with the Grotto and Oilrig POIs, the vaults, the toilet/garbage/haypile transporters, undercover phone booths, miniguns and prox mines. Chapter 1 was a blur to me. I really only remember Lucky Landing, Borderlands collab and Gotham City towers.
YEA C2S4 AND C2S2 DUDE MEMORIESSSSS, I STARTED OUT IN C2S2 AND THERE WAS JUST SOOO MUCH TO DO, GO TO DIFFERENT POIS AND FIGHT BOSSES, GET OP LOOT FROM VAULTS, HOT DROP AGENCY AND THERE WERE LIKE 40 PPL THERE. AND STARK INDUSTRIES WAS SOO GOOD IN S4 LIKE I STILL REMEMBER GLIDING IN THRU THAT WINDOW AT THE BACK AND OPENING THE STARK CHEST IN THE ROOM AND ALMOST ALWAYS GETTING A SPAZ FROM LIKE THE VAULT OR THE GARAGE OMG... GONNA MISS THIS CHAPTER I DONT APPRECIATE IT ENOUGH.

There was so much content and fun things to do, fncs was great, pumps were back, it was just an amazing season
the simplicity of chapter 1 is the reason it is the most loved "game period" in probably video game history. players, revenue, ads, and happiness peaked in that chapter, along with new friends, memories, and times we will look back on due solely to fortnite chapter 1.

True, it was a simpler time. Everything was new to us & we enjoyed it alot more for what it was. Now we’ve all played for years and the game is getting kinda stale.
Yes! I know! I never played early Fortnite but when I look at the early seasons it doesn’t seem very impressive
Chapter 2 ruined the game for many people, the game just changed way to much, along with way to many/to influential crossovers. Also the fact they started moving away from the cartoony style.

from season 1-4 are definitely my favourite seasons. not just for the game but just my life as well as i was quite happy with my life at the time

I would say that the reason why we all "care" for season 1 more than this season is because the memories of starting a game that everyone including yourself was bad at will never b something we can return to, no matter what explanation you want to make the nostalga of something the game will never see again is gonna be the reason why chapter 1 is missed.

I get your point and often I would agree with it, but its honestly not true.. Fortnite fundamentally turned into complete ass.. If they made it back into season 3 chapter one I would definitely play it again. The game is just for children now. I understand it from a capitalist perspective, but its just sad. For me personally I loved Chapter 1 so much more. Ngl I thought about quitting FN so many times in Chapter 2 for many reasons.

The main reason why I hated late chap 2 was the POI loot the early seasons of chap 2 had vaults with lots of loot so you’re rewarded for killing 3-4 people, the end of chap 2 you could kill 10 people without getting a gun over blue. I think loot needs to be more consistent over all
The thing I hope the most for chapter 3 is they bring back good bosses with The vaults because I really like getting good loot for my match and I always like to see all the good stuff that people left behind when they open the vault if I wasn’t lucky enough to get a key card because they always leave like at least two legendary’s and one epic rarity gun am I only one who wants this back
I don't have that many legendary memories with this chapter like I did with Chapter 1 but surely this chapter will be nostalgic in a few months or years.

Hard to say in chapter 1 we had LTMS like food fight, 50v50, and the floor is lava as well as the Endgame LTM. But for Chapter 2 that’s when creative mode began to rise and the events and collaborations picked up.
i wish we could go back to the first few seasons of chapter 2. i loved the agency and all the mythic weapons and keycards for vaults

I remember being in playground at tilted playing with my friends , and playing squads, even thought we died a lot i had amazing memeories. Sadly now when i play with my friends or play solos, i dont enjoy it, and i hear my friend's keyboard going hard. I just miss my old days of this game. When did it get so hard to take a step back.

I just wanna say, i think they did the biome changes diffrently than chapter one because they were testing how people would respond, so i assume they will add more permanent biomes!!!

chapter 2s content was better than C1 , but the fact where they’re season lacking content throughout, and the time they endured, i personally stopped after s5 because it came out of whack, chapter 2 was not for me towards the end but early was goated , just wish more update

I've said it once before but I'll say it again, I hope for C3S1 they introduce more weapon attachments and vehicle mods over time rather than throwing them all in at the start. I imagine they'll take a slight break because Christmas, and they'll have spent a lot of time on content and the map, so I hope they spread the content out.
We don't have any weapon attachments yet, so who knows about that. And I think vehicle mods are still in the works. And while I get not throwing everything in the start, at the same time, look how people reacted to this season when it didn't have much at the start and spread it all out throughout the season. Or just these past 3 seasons really, they spread out the content and then people complain about lack of content.
@@TheEpicGalaxy21 true, but of course people are going to complain no matter what, but the past couple seasons, mainly 7, I think we got really good and consistent updates, this season and has felt more like 5 with collabs just being the main centre point of the game. And we'll 6 was lackluster and I think to most people downright bad. Just my take on it though, I think people would prefer content spread out especially for the start of C3 if that's what's next anyway. The start of C2 was real slow and I don't just want something like the harpoon gun being our only content update. Also weapon attachments were leaked or rumoured I can't remember, so we should *hopefully* see them, of course with vehicle mods too. I have high hopes for C3, I've heard one time that they're going back to graphics that look more similar to C1, or a hybrid of 1 and 2, with models of trees for example looking more similar to one. Idk, I'm not clued up on absolutely everything, just what from what I've seen and heard. (:

@@kasturichaudhary6184 Chapter 2 was the first time Fortnite went through a Chapter change, it's not a suprise that epic didn't know what to do or expect. They thought we'd need 100s of days to get used to it, but apparantely not. So now they know.
@@TheEpicGalaxy21 I mean, I'm fine with that, it makes sense that it'll take people some time to get used to it and learn more about it. But there wasn't even much too learn about the map and the new mechanics. Also I think epic probably had some plans to make biomes and do some significant map changes to the edges of the map as well but maybe by reaching the end, they kinda screwed up. And right now what they're doing is just letting it go how it does and improve on the game's map next chapter either by adding biomes at the beginning which I don't really want tbh or by adding them as seasons pass by and also I do want the map to be big but hopefully it's not too big tho. I mean, knowing epic, I think they'll do a good if not the best job at making us happy

I am watching this and it is chapter 5 season 3 am now I am happy that the first few seasons of chapter two were long and that was so much fun I would give anything to play in chapter two with all my friends that don't play anymore ❤

Depends which seasons in each of these chapters. I’d say chapter 2 seasons 2,3 and 4 were way better than season x and season 9 but then like chapter 2 season 6,7 and 8 werent better than some of the best seasons in chapter 1 like, seasons 1-5

I think the reason behind the lack of map changes this chapter is because they focused on the collabs more. Also during the first Chapter they didn't plan to change the map ENTIRELY, so they instead were changing some pois or adding completely new ones because that was its priority back then. But that's just my impression about it. Either way both pretty good chapters and I'm hyped to see what Chapter 3 brings us and how the map will look~

Chapter 2 was an experimental time for the game, personally I never really liked chapter 2, but it was only because of how much different they made the game at the time, for better or worse

I pretty much stopped playing Fortnite right around the end of C2.S2. I could never get used to the new controls so when they got rid of Legacy settings, that was all she wrote for me. Didn’t play any of C2.S3, came back for Marvel season. Played a little if C2.S5 cause of Master Chief. Haven’t played it since.
Anyone else notice that he didn’t talk about the Travis Scott event… understandable but I don’t think it was worth not mentioning because of how crazy it was for the game and how it was one of the best live events in the game of all time
Rock the Travis skin every game. And it was a cool event but not along w the story line so it’s not as nostalgic

Ok, just to clear the fact that I’m not being bias, I’ve been playing since mid season 3 of chapter 1. As far as having fun and good memories, chapter 1 is easily the winner. But if we’re talking about the game itself, I think it’s undeniable that chapter 2 added way more. Almost every season added a completely game changing feature, with npc’s, bars, swimming, mythics, crafting, and a whole lot more. If I could play one I have to go with chapter 2 just because of how many more features the game has.

for competitive play chapter 2 is way better
and in terms of content theyre pretty even tbh

Honestly, I don’t play Fortnite anymore and I come back a few times every season but I really miss ch1. I made some great memories from every single season in ch1
Better loot pools, fun updates, amazing seasons, a good map, map changes, no way it’s worse then Chapter 2.
And they should make the build mechanics slightly different and add new types of guns, and new graphics
I think, the main reason ch2 felt dry is because all of the new pois got removed after a season ends. Imagine if current nap still had grotto, fortilla, stark, agency & more.
2nd reason - there were a lot of laggy seasons because of AIs and some other reasons (also, as players got better it was easier to notice delay in building and editing)

I agree that they should have kept the map changes . Would have helped a lot . I still personally enjoyed ch 2 seasons 2,3, and 4 . Probably just as much as chapter 1 because even though they removed items and poi’s after each season l those 3 seasons still had so much fun places and items added, It was ch2 season 5 where they started removing fun stuff , and replacing it with boring things .
Ch2 s2 is my favorite season bc that’s the season I really got into fortnite for the first time. In ch2 s1 I didn’t care for fortnite. I remember grinding the battle pass with my sister and we always played. The deadpool collab was nice and we both got to level 100.

The only thing that makes people think that chapter 1 is better than chapter 2 is the nostalgia and good moments, but in content, I would have to go with chapter 2, better graphics, DirectX12 support, DLSS, etc. And all the new items introduced in chapter 2 that we all use would be so hard to let go if we just went back to chapter 1 so in my book, chapter 2 had a rough start, but came back strong.
Chapter 2 season 2 could've been the best season if it was shorter. I still think content wise it was the best season and the most fun to play to be honest
