Thank you Pastor Paul. I've had more than 2 Christians in the New Covenant try to guilt me into food laws and mandatory giving of 10% of my salary to tithing. Both are members of churches that follow and teach these principles and use the Bible as a guide (the Old Covenant). I was confused initially but as I grow in Christ and learn about the New Covenant and grace, i'm thankful that I now have a response.
Yes everyone… even if they went to jail or did really bad things… it’s really a hard pill to swallow but you remember that we are all sinners and we have a deceitful heart. I pray to the Holy Spirit to guide me and not to fall into temptation in this fallen world
This is an interesting vision Peter has in this chapter. Definitely more going on than meets the eye. The "sheet" in v.10 (G3607) 2x usage. Only other place it's used is chap 11 when the whole vision is recounted. It's literally made from the same fine white linen the bride is wearing in Rev. 19. Been pondering this for a few days. How glorious will it be when we get to learn all the deep meanings of these things from our master "Rabboni" ( also a 2x usage word 😅) Thanks for the message.
