Hey Greg, yeah in many cases if the car is to roll they take the fuel tank out and replace it with a fuel cell which holds just enough fuel for the stunt. Likewise with some sections of the engine.
@@behindthestunts G’day again mate, yeah thanks for that bit of knowledge. I just wasn’t 100% sure. But WOW those stunt drivers sure earn their pay! Incredible vlogs too. Much success to you too.🇦🇺👍😁
@@behindthestunts I forgot to mention to you the amazing brief story of a stuntman named Dar Robinson. Now Dar Robinson was considered the greatest stuntman of the modern times, back in the 70s and early 80s. Dar definitely liked to take risks during his spectacular career. But his most famous and most dangerous stunt he performed was in the Burt Reynolds action film ‘Sharkey’s Machine’. Dar Robinson actually put his name in the Guinness Book Of World Records when he threw himself backwards through a glass window, from a scraper about 30, 40 or more floors up.No harness was used. No rigging was used. It was just Dar and gravity doing the stunt. I believe at that time, the biggest air bag in the world was used to land on.Even Burt was very concerned with the stunt and didn’t want Dar to go so high. But Dar being Dar managed to pull it off. But sadly Dar Robinson did pass away many decades ago. But look it up on YT mate and see what he did. His fall is in the movie. Next time. Cheers.👍🇦🇺😁✌️
I’ve often noticed that when those cars crash and flip and roll, there’s no engine or the fuel tank has been removed.
