- This cold process soap making video is of a soap I made for the Secret Soap Challenge. The members of the Soap Challenge Club got together to honor Amy Warden as she goes into hospital for major surgery as part of her battle against breast cancer. Amy is such a well-respected force in the soap making world, her huge knowledge of cold process soap making which she generously shares with others, and the way she teaches and encourages so many soap makers to become better is truly amazing.
This is not a soap making tutorial type video, but instead, a video about a soap made with love and admiration for a wonderful person.

Although my cold process soap making tutorials are of a tutorial nature, they are intended for people who have a good understanding of making cold process soap. The information given is based on what works for me, however, there are lots of variables associated with cold process soap making and I therefore, take no responsibility for the results achieved when using the techniques or methods explained in these tutorials. Cold process soap involves the necessary use of sodium Hydroxide (lye) which is a very dangerous substance. @@justaddlivingwater no social assistance nurses out your way? They're usually the ones with that sort of knowedge. Don't be ashamed to hunt and ask..LIFE threw you a curve ball in the dark, NOone can prepare for those! And anyone who looks down on someone who gets plastered by one,deserves a simple, innocent,: "what do you suggest I should have done differently?" You can TRY to insulate yourself from life's curveballs, we all do, but unfortunately, there's no way to predict and protect against EVERYTHING. At least not without going broke from.paying insurance premiums first ...😘🤬💔🤕🤕

Sitting here, still under lockdown in a nursing home, nailed TWICE now by covid!! And the administrator is so tone deaf she's actually bubbly at getting the health unit in to give us our 1st inoculations😳😳😳🙃 I've asked her:" at this point, how far BEYOND are some of us?" And she's literally gone "huh?"😳 so forgive me if I'm a wee bit...🤪🤨on her capabilities right now...🙃💌

@@IDreamInSoap please tell Amy, from another "endurer" theres really no such thing as a survivor, we ain't, none of us, getting out of this alive!😉🤷♀️ that no matter what the docs peg your odds at...there's always, ALWAYS an outlier(I should know, I'm one of them-statistically, I shouldn't have survived TO the operation to remove my tumour, instead, my then 14 year old read me the riot act: "you can't win if you don't TRY" and that was *17 years* ago. Against a type of cancer that has, up *until now* had a 0%survival rate. My docs are *now beginning to believe I may just be the winged unicorn* they've all been hoping for. Forget zebras!

Wow Lisa ! You are amazing, And my heart is with Amy, She has a long road ahead. I am in Remission myself now going on 6 1/2 years with Breast Cancer.

Yes Lisa and there are so many types of Breast Cancer. Mine was in My Lymph glands so I am So Lucky I got the Best Doctor. I should not even Be Here. That is why I am in Remission not cured. I have to be tested every 3 months and endure a Whole Body Bone Scan Plus other tests. The Chemo port is placed going directly into your heart which I was so so lucky I only lost 20% of My heart function. and its a long term disease. God bless everyone that had or Has Breast Cancer. Amy needs much support and Prayers.

Wow! You are simply amazing! I love watching your videos! I have been a soapmaker for many years and have done a few of the soap challenges…it was many years ago. I kind of got out of the soap making scene for a while, but lately have gotten back into it a bit. I had no idea about Amy Warden! I know this video is a few years old, but I hope all is well with Amy! She was always wonderful during the soap challenges!

Blown away! absolutely loved, loved, loved this video. The teeny tiny soaps, the multiple techniques, the planning...incorporating all the different challenges, the fantastic attention to detail...did you plan the embed to be the perfect size for the Club part of the stamp? Of course you did! You are so meticulous it’s a joy to watch.

AW, thank you so much Hilary. I can be a bit of an overplanner, but I think of an idea then automatically my brain goes 'well what about this and could I do that' and then I'm 'stuck' with working out how I get it all to work :-)
