Sometimes I think that this way oft teaching, from year after birth till his 10th grade (in school), isnt the best way to show a child how life is... Espacially in childhood (age 4-12) you should do child things like eating Sand for example....maybe this comment is stupid and super mean but I'm happy that i had mich freetime when I was in his age(of this age) and that I havent Been forced by my parents to play maybe Every single day the piano I think thats not that good for these children
adrizzle as a former pro athlete I thank my father for every time he woke me up at 5:30 am and made me train. Most of those kids that are "forced" to pursue greatness are usually very thankful looking back
Rani Linkov yeah maybe....i love doing sports and music but im very glad for Evert freetime I had and will have... I would be happy too when I would be a star vor something like that but maybe because i wouldnt know how life would have Been without this pressure.... PS. Im playin piano and im doing many sports aswell but Im happy that i "can choose" when and what...so I will obviously never become a big star in these things but ive choosen that way on my own....i cant judge others (people that Werke "forced") cause i dont know the life and childhood...but they cant know the "ordinary" life
If this young man continues to practice everyday and works hard to understand each section he plays, then I think he will become one of the world's top concert pianist.
you see friend that is the hardest part in your life, consistency. Most people just quit what they are doing in the first place because more things will appeat in their life and you have to spend time dealing with it.
+svaellmen Some people are just born to be pianists. Those are the ones who don't give up. They may trip up a little along the way, but they always keep at it.
Some of us sadly have to quit because of thing beyond their control. For me, it was arthritis that got the better of me in my mid-twenties, and I lost what proficiency I had. I moved on to different thing, but honestly do miss being able to play these technically demanding pieces.
I'm Asian and my parents r like that. My teacher has a 7 year old student that can play this and I can't do they let me 1 week to finish of that piece 😩 Edit:im twelve
You were enjoying yourself. This kid was probably being pressured and emotionally abused by his parents. Just remember, you didn’t have an oppressive child
No, I made a perfect sense and gave good argument. Only Europeans composed and are composing such masterpieces, symphonies etc. If what you said was true, Asians would compose such things too, while they are good only at covering them.
+Bandera Well at that time we had different music cultures. While western people (Chopin in this case) composed pieces like this one, asians composed other symphonies with other cultural bases. Im sure there's great pieces from the 19th century Asia to. I was thinking that many asian kids on YT are very talented when it comes to pieces that are supposed to be played fast, and that's why i wrote "hes not even asian".
Its so good to see kids play with emotion. A lot kids are forced to learn how to play the piano and they dont enjoy it at all but this guy is into music for sure!
Am I the only one who doesn't understand why on earth there are people that would dislike this? I mean he played it so beautifully that I had to cry .. literally cry! Really now and that at the age of 11. As part of the audience I am really proud of you boy!! 😏👌🏻
+Selvinaz Ceylan Amen to that, if you are catholic/christian, if not, either way i totally agree with you. I couldn't help but to shed a few tears of how beautiful he played and especially Chopin's music is :'D
+Selvinaz Ceylan I am also a pianist, I am 19 and have been playing for 9 years, and im nowhere near as good as him, and he is younger than me. I do play advanced melodies, and like i mentioned, especially Chopin, but I lack finger speed and accuracy.
+Arlatca I would really love to play the piano but I think learning it at the age of 17 is a bit late :/ I really love Chopin and Beethoven !! They are my absolute favourite pianists 😏
+Selvinaz Ceylan It is never too late to learn a new instrument, mate. ^_^ I know a guy that started learning this year, and he's in his mid-60s. He loves it. :) Follow your dreams. You'll get there.
You need to read the story of Albert Frantz. He started piano lessons at the "incredibly late"age of 17!! He is World class and one of the best! Google his video on You Tube.
When I clicked on this video I was expecting good technique with horrible interpretation and sense for musicality. Well, I was wrong. Very nicely played kiddo.
I like the way he plays more than other kids plays in youtube. I think he seems to know something he can really enjoy about inside his heart. Thanks to him
Man those hands are big for an 11 year old, those are the hands of a men, clean and great performance, true talent man, every note just sounds about right, good job, keep on going!!!!
An incredibly refined and musical (as well as technically immaculate) performance for such a young age. To play Fantasie Impromptu at his age, and to play it with such a beautiful interpretation, is amazing.
Hello...Greeting from Thailand.I also impressed abundantly related about your ability..Now the melody of this song just embedded and innermost in my heart !!!! Marvelous fellow !!!
Oh, what an adorable pianist. He is such a Master in his own way and really have his heart on it while playing. God bless you more and more and thank you for inspiring all of us.
That is truly amazing the way he plays with that emotion and expression and enthusiasm I am a chorister and in kings choir we have some great players but this is truly another level how you did I this at your age is just unbelievable keep going forward with it
He's very good. At last a child pianist who doesn't play like a robot. You are obviously a very musical boy. The piece was played with passion, emotion, drama, expressiveness and a pretty good technique. Keep practicing hard and listen to as much as you can as well. I hope your life blossoms into a successful classical piano career if that is what you want.
Felipe 1aa1 says who? Go on any video with an Asian child and 90% of the comments will be them of English speakers jizzing over the kids playing abilities/implying that Asians are a master race/metaphorically slitting their wrists because they're like fucking 40 and can't play half as good even though nothing is stopping them from practicing. the usual sheep mentality.
Vincent Aguado i tell you why ,gifted kids never been happy because their parents abusing of that talent ,non intentionally of course but hurting his childhood any way,let the kids living as what they are,
This is the best rendition of that middle largo section I've ever heard! There aren't many who can keep those opposing sextuplets and eighth notes in the exact right timing like that.
Arminas Ashpi_Darras tell him he is the first child prodigy I've seen that actually plays well!!! Tell him he actually has potential, he's really good!!! Not like those other kids who completely fail the tempo and ignore the dynamics
Arminas Tell him..he has legit talent and potential to go far. He played Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu very well. By far the best interpretation by a prodigy ive seen on youtube the others are very lacking.
Great expressive performance besides the technical skills - and Simonas is one of the very few so called "Wunderkinder" who seems to love what he is doing. And I am saying this while being the greatest critique when it comes to terms like "prodigy" and "Wunderkind" because the only amazing thing is - regarding the young age - that those kids have some hundred synaptic connections more at their young age - and overeager parents, mostly pressing their kids into that role - to fulfill what they themselves never achieved. The result: Show me of the thousands of "Wunderkinder" one, who really did it! Those are very very few. We hope that Simonas will be one of those really blessed ones!
Beautifully played. Incredible spacing and distinction between notes with the volume controlled throughout and accents applied when necessary. Amazing (get TwoSet to watch this)
Wow. All I can say is WOW!! If only my efforts could be nearly half as good...I can almost see Mr. Chopin smiling down on you with joy, to hear you play this piece so sensitively & beautifully :) God bless you!

There are vert few technical mistakes, but the most fascinating thing is that, unlike so many child prodigies, he's actually playing emotionally!

Simply incredible. I was in awe of what I was seeing the whole time, what talent!
Fantastic!! ❤
Not everyone get these kind of opportunity to learn music at such an early age🙁. He's lucky
I had the opportunity but when you're a kid it's as if you have to be very dedicated at a young age and to really love music to improve.
This clearly isn’t luck. It’s skill
Well its not luck and not just skill its hard work and determination
How beautiful . If only Chopan could have heard him.

Relax, dude. It's just a joke. Don't take things too seriously :)
Is this somehow a racist stereotype? :)
That's because FOB Asian parents are very strict. It's a different culture across the world you know, stereotypes are often true.
Played with great feeling. Great use of the strength in the fingers to convey the interpretation. Love what you've done.
