Cyberpunk was first seen in 1977 where it came from a comic then the futuristic style took off in the 80s. They style can be a lot of different things but what makes it is bright neon colours,with a lot of geometric shapes and line. Since it came from the 80s, retro furniture can be seen in the style, but with a futuristic twist on it. It also has some things from the 90s. To sum up, cyberpunk is what the generations from the 80s and 90s thought the future would look like

Im a bit later lol but “cyberpunk” has been popular for a while now, it’s basically a futuristic world (high towers, cramped buildings and houses, neon signs, advertisement everywhere, holograms etc) but in a dystopian kind of way. Good movies with a “cyberpunk” theme would be Bladerunner, Chappie, Elysium, Arcane (it has steampunk elements a little more) etc. And of course, the Cyberpunk 2077 game. Basically the whole genre is overpopulation in a dystopian city plagued by advanced technology and lights.
Cyberpunk is like a modern, futuristic, place with lots of lights and windows 😊😊😊
